afuye:
How old are you ?
When did you start learning programing ?
How long have been doing internship ?
How many projects do you have on github. (Share github account).
Do you have a person you call a mentor?
Where do you apply for jobs ?
How do you network with other developers tech events, WhatsApp groups maybe workplace?
Let me see you LinkedIn account and cv ?
How often to do you code daily?
Put your financial investment aside, is it something you love to do ? If yes, don't give up on your dreams!

*Expecting your feedbacks*
refsilva, you're yet to answer this question. Answer so we can better understand your situation. Generally, it takes 1 - 2 years to be job-ready if you're consistent and committed to learning. If I were you, I would not give up.

Anyone can be a marketer. I can train one in 1 week. But a software developer takes months/years of training to become one. Thus, software developers are more indispensable, and the field pays more. It makes more sense to pursue a career that makes you indispensable. As it's said, if you want an easier life, solve harder problems. Software development is a hard problem; stick with it so in the long run you can live a more comfortable easier life".

By the way, start learning backend and work towards becoming full-stack. It would increase your hireability in this brutal market.

Also know that people spend 2-4 years (or more) in school abroad to become nurses or fit into careers that guarantee them for life. You cant spend only 6 months in tech and start crying that you want to quit.

Like i heard said somewhere: Tech is not a "get rich quick scheme", it's a "get upper-middle class slow scheme" rather.

For 2days game. Peseiro will play the same personnel vs CIV. He will not change it. Lookman and Samu will flank Osimhen.
Iwobi & Frank in MF. The same Wing backs and Defenders. Nacho, Yusuf, Onyedika and Simon will feature when PS wants to switch tactics. You can take this to d bank.
No surprising really. You don't change a winning team. They've been doing wel, just need to convert more of their chances.

Super Eagles Current form:
Played:5, Won:1, Drew:3, Lost:1
All 5 teams below us in FIFA rankings

Friendly 13/10/23, Saudi Arabia 2 - 2 Nigeria
Friendly 16/10/23, Mozambique 2 - 3 Nigeria
WorldCup Qual 16/11/23, Nigeria 1 - 1 Lesotho
WorldCup Qual 19/11/23, Zimbabwe 1 - 1 Nigeria
Friendly 08/01/24, Nigeria 0 - 2 Guinea

I expect us to draw today against Equatorial Guinea.
Lose against Côte d'Ivoire, and draw again against Guinea-Bissau.

I'd be happy if they prove me wrong. But I am not overly optimistic.
When Emmanuel Amunike comes in after AFCON, maybe we can then smile a bit.
But all in all; still got 100% love for the Green-White-Green 🇳🇬 and our boys.

GOOD ALL.

PLEASE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN HERE ON nairaland, I am in a state of confusion, needs an advise on weather to learn Welding or to learn truck driving. Secondly, which of them will help me immigrate quickly. Thanks and happy new year to you all.
Welding requires more skill, so would be my first choice.
The more skills required, usually the more difficult finding suitable candidates, thus higher salaries etc

Players who will feel bad are:
1) Terem Moffi (Ahmed Musa stole his place. Reason = Federal Character. A fit Taiwo Awoniyi might have lost to Sadiq Umar too 4 same reason)
2) Jamilu Collins (No P. Zaidu Sanusi is worth it)
3) Adebayo Adeleye [Goal Keeper] (Im indifferent on this)

I know React satisfactorily. Currently learning Nodejs, Express, MongoDB. Lemme learn the MERN stack well first then pivot elsewhere if need be.

ProgrammingRe: Useless Youtube Channels Every Beginner Front End Developer Should Avoid by ekehopp2: 5:35am On Dec 15, 2023
Devdevdev:
These YouTubers are popular, with hundreds of thousands of subscribers, but will only waste your time when you are learning front end web developement.

John Smilga from Coding Addict: This guy probably has shares in freeCodeCamp as they always feature his poor quality videos. This guy will waste your time. He spends hours explaining very basic concepts, and doesnt give time to the really important ones. You will spend hours on his videos and only end up learning 1% of what you want to learn. Avoid him at all cost. Anytime you see his videos on FreeCodeCamp YouTube page, just skip. He is a time wasting idiot.

Brad Traversy from Traversy Media: This guy just brushes the surface of anything he teaches. He is a complete waste of time and never beginner friendly. The only time he drops useful content for beginners is in his Udemy videos which you have to pay for, but his YouTube content is crap.

Clever Programmer: This one is a fraud. He has zero teaching skills and just focuses on "guiding" you though dumb ass projects. He doesn't even know JavaScript let alone React, but purports to be a king in these languages. He is from a Python background and even at that, he still can't teach python.

If you are a beginner wanting to learn Programming, sse these channels instead.

CSS - Kevin Powell, Dave Gray.

Sass, Tailwind and BEM - Coder Coder, NetNinja, Dave Gray.

JavaScript - Dave Gray, BroCode, WebDevSimplified.

Python - Tech with Tim

React - PapaReact, BenAwad, DaveGray, WebDevSimplified, NetNinja, Code with Basir

In fact, Dave Gray's videos on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Tailwind, React and Redux, combined with tids and bits from the others I have listed, along with you building projects on your own, are enough to facilitate your learning as a beginner front end developer.
Haba. They are all Gods. You just can't negate the entirety of someone's work. They almost have all been a blessing to me in different ways.

But you mustn't always default to Youtube, there's freeCodecamp, Codecademy, Scrima etc.
Depending on topic, check what works for you.

I read the news, Don Jazzy pay her hospital bills of 6million Nairalandy for her to undergo the operation, after Retals leave her to her fate
Most likely a case of Retals owners having good intentions to make player a star, but when player got injured they were overwhelmed with cost of treatment (considering running cost of other fit players) and their hands were forced to abandon player.

Thank God for Don Jazzy though.

This begs the need for Club/Academy owners to get health insurance for their players to mitigate against challenges like this.

Do you think she will thrive in this formation?

————-Demehin—-Ohale——-Plumptre———-

—Alozie—Ucheibe—-Ayinde—Payne—-Imuran-

———————-Kanu—-Ajibade——————
Would love to see Imuran get some minutes. But we need attackers who can also defend so wouldn't start her.

Personally I would start Monday, so:

---------------------------------Nnadozie
——Alozie——-Demehin—-Ohale——-Plumptre——
—------------------—Ucheibe—-Ayinde—
———Monday———-Payne—-----Ajibade——————
---------------------------------Kanu

Then any of below as subs: Oshoala, Onumonu, Okoronkwo, Echegini, Oparanozie
Oshoala needs to be told to press,
Onumonu needs to stop falling down
