We have come a long way and God has been keeping us strong together!!! I met you in 2011(I just gained admission into uniben, He just graduated from uniben) became friends and stayed friends even with the distance till 2015 when we decided to take a step further. 2016 was very rough as you got fired at your job which you hated because you were under paid for a first class graduate. Men promised!!!!!! You sent messages!!!! Called Aunties and Uncle but all failed!!!!
But God didnt fail you, He answered our prayers and handed something bigger than you could ever imagine! From being a Receiver to a Giver! Those people you used to call are still amazed on how you transformed overnight. I thank God for your life and enabling me be a part of this amazing story.
And YES I SAID I DO!!!!

Canadianfly: He has to go to the nearest border to him, be it airport or land border with the U.S. Most people I know just drove to the closest border to the U.S and completed the process.
Ekinado, you can also ask him to meet you at the airport the day you land. And y'all can do it together. Thanks alot |

happytbaby: Dependants can travel alone BUT they cannot land before the primary applicant.
I suppose if he is in Canada, that means he would have 'landed' as soon as he receives COPR, you should be able to travel by yourself to meet him in Canada. Thanks |

KayVann: Dear Nairaland family, Silent reader in the house, I just thought to share my story as I have been so inspired by the posts on this forum. My Canadian journey started in 2015 when I wanted to further my education, 3 times my study permit was declined because of the most ridiculous reasons. I started pursing express entry actively in 2016, wrote IELTS 4 times, has great scores but my writing kept reading 6.5. After my 4th attempt, I requested for a remark in which my writing score was reviewed to a 7, with that, I was able to secure ITA. Below is my timeline ITA 7th August AOR 24th August Medicals passed 3rd September IP 1 3rd September Na2. 9th September Adr 6th December Ip2 6th December Adr submitted 14th December PPR 12th January. Family of 4.
My application was not perfect but God covered it, I used a fixed deposit and I applied as a business owner (partnership to be precise). I had to show proof of business with proof of work done, receipts, pictures and written notes from clients, I turned in our company account bank statement as well. The Adr was for me to provide tax clearance certificates for the companies. This is just to say, self employed have no issues with express entry as long as you can prove the legitimacy of your business. It's been a long and excruciating journey but God gave me the grace to sail through with losing my elements, I am extremely grateful to the Almighty God. Never give up on your dreams, with God all things are possible and he makes all things beautiful in his time. Thank you all for the information freely shared on this forum, may God reward you all with your hearts desire. Congrats |

40manlappy: Congratulations! That was fast! I am so happy for you
Lol @bolded. Just follow the instructions in the email strictly. Let me share the following based on experience. -Print the PPR mail. -Fill the eye and height colour chart form (usually attached or pasted in the mail) -Follow photo specifications that was included in the email (we resized the digital photos that we used for e-APR to the required specifications. A number of applicants did same. This should be fine if those photos were taken recently i.e. less than 6 months) -Include your international passports. -Prepare a cover letter. You may wish to adopt the sample below. -If your family configuration has changed, fill form IMM008. Otherwise, the sample letter with the bolded "disclaimer" should suffice.
Package the above along with any other required documents and go to the nearest DHL office. I am assuming they were recommended for you as done for most Nigerians. Wish you a smooth sail from here on. Thanks 40manlappyi appreciate |
