Good afternoon, Everyone. Happy 2024.

I tried to book an IW appointment and after being timed out a few times, i got the following message : “Your account has been frozen for suspicious activity, and you will not be able to access it for up to 72 hours. Your account will be unfrozen automatically after that time. Our call center agents will not be able to assist you with unfreezing your account or scheduling your appointment until then.”

1. Should i worry about being frozen for suspicious activity? I honestly just tried more than 2ice to access the page.
2. Is it advisable to check after, say 48 hours?

Thank you

Noted.

Thank you once again

hunee:
E visas can not be appealed. Re apply for another visa and attach a cover letter explaining previous error and correction you have made.

Thank you so much for your guidance and advice, Hunee

I scanned those pages as advised but the upload buttons are no longer active. So, since the outcome email said "You may, within 10 working days from date of receipt of this notice, make written representations to the Director-General to review the decision" i sent an email of the scans with a cover letter addressed to the DG, Home Affairs Dept, to hacc@dha.gov.za.

Please would this suffice?

hunee:
Rescan is what they meant. dont snap it. sign on 4. Scan 5,6,7 pages, reupload front and back with inside. You will be fine

Good afternoon guys.

I just got an eVisa Rejection based on " The yellow fever vaccination certificate is invalid and therefore you do not qualify for a visitors visa". I confirmed myself that the Yellow Card is valid from the Federal Ministry of Health website: https://www.yellowcardnigeria.com, so i was shocked to receive the rejection.

Anybody with similar experience?

If i reapply, wont i get the same outcome?

Good evening, Everybody. Hope your weekend went well.

I just submitted an eVisa application online and the next page showed me supporting documents to upload to include "Death Certificate - Spousal parents" and "Death Certificate of parent/s" as i indicated that my father as well as my father-in-law have both died for over 20 years now.

I don't have my father's Death Certificate with me and asking my inlaws for my father-in-law's death certificate from from my inlaws is a most uncomfortable question to ask of them culturally.

Kindly advise on what to do. Should i swear an affidavit in court?

Thank you, guys.

Thank you very much

No. When you get to TLS and they are doing the initial review of your docs, just tell them you want to add an additional document you forgot to upload. You’ll pay sha, the same price you’d have paid for assisted service initially, which in my opinion, is so annoying. I think it’s about 13k approximately. They’d make the upload on your behalf.
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by ekpanbaghi: 9:10am On Feb 04, 2023
Good morning everyone.

My wife and daughter just concluded self-upload of documents on TLS for UK Visa. Unfortunately, some documents were mistakenly omitted and now that window is closed to add any more documents.

If we choose assisted service appointment so as to get the ommited documents uploaded at TLS on appointment date, will we lose the documents initially uploaded and have to start from the scratch at TLS?

Thank you.

Good afternoon, everybody.

I am due to attend my Masters Graduation in June and the trip is to be sponsored by my employer (who sponsored the MBA). Kindly assist with answers to the following:

1. Can i apply for a 10-year standard visitor visa on the Graduation application now, as i have successfully been issued multiple 2-year visitor visas in the past for tourism? i ask because i am unsure if the Graduation as the main purpose wont imply a need for a shorter duration visa.

2. On the question of "Main reason for your visit", since i am attending a Graduation but intend to spend 3 more days afterwards, I am torn between these 2 stated reasons on the form: "Tourism (including visiting family and friends)" and "Other - I am visiting for another reason". Kindly advise on which is more appropriate.

Thank you so much.

Only you can decide. Do a "Cost-Benefit" analysis. What will the investment get you when you graduate? A lucrative job in a parastatal like NNPC/CBN etc? If not, 9million will go a long way for an entrepreneur in Naija

Airports have horrible exchange rates. Except you need to exchange some for transport to town, pls wait until you get out of the airport into town. If you must, change small only at the airport.
graceodini:

Okay. Must it be changed at the airport or when the person get out of airport?

Principle of Reciprocity applies. Nigerian airspace is closed to them, so theirs is closed to Nigerians. They review their position every 2 weeks, so hold on.

For 1: Justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not provided.
• The relevant documents were not submitted.
• The documents submitted could not ascertain your purpose of stay (did you include any Tour Tickets, for example, if for Tourism?).
• The existence of a family relationship was not substantiated with adequate documentary evidence (If invited by a family member)
• The requested duration of stay is not consistent with any leave entitlements (date on letter of Intro from office different from that applied for).
• The previous visas granted on the invitation of the same host have not been used to enter Italy, although the visas have been given for this purpose.
• The flight and hotel reservation submitted has been canceled in the meantime.

For 2: Proof of holding an adequate and valid medical insurance was not provided.
• AXA mansard insurance might not be recognized by the Italian Embassy. Use the Following - AIG c/o AIICO Insurance PLC, AXA/ Inter Partner Assistance c/o UNIC Assurance PLC , CORNERSTONE Insurance, ELVIA c/o Air France, EVASAN c/o Unitrust Insurance Co. Ltd, FAC International c/o EKINOX Projects Ltd, FILHET-ALLARD c/o MBC International Bank Ltd, HYGEA International Ltd. c/o Mutual Benefits Assurance Ltd, INDUSTRIAL AND GENERAL INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED. These are on their website: http://www.italy-ng.com/pdf/List_of_Insurance_Companies_090814.pdf.
• Was the Insurance submitted ADEQUATE & VALID? Is the cover in line with Schengen requirement? Are the dates different from the form's?

For 3: The information submitted regarding the justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not reliable
• You have made contradictory statements on the purpose of stay.

Hope these help. Goodluck

Good everyone

Please I need gurus in the house to enlighten me on this:

A colleague of mine is a Local Government Chairman in Kwara State and he intends to visit the UK for a period of 2 weeks. He has never traveled out of the country before and he is holding an OFFICIAL PASSPORT.

Do official passport holders apply online the same as Ordinary passport holders?

1. There is no best time to apply. Its Summer Application Season (Peak Period), so apply 90 days to your travel date.

2. For the Insurance, kindly ensure that you get it from the companies recognized by the Embassy.

3. Justify the purpose of the Visit by booking for a tour like L'Open Tour or free ones like Sandeman's Walking Tour.

4. Don't forget to book your hotel preferably in City Centre or around Gare du Nord or Sacre Coeur Area. If you decide to pay, consider hotels that allow free cancellations.

Goodluck

Good morning.

Kindly assist with a question on my finances. I earn about 320k monthly and work in a govt agency. I have had multiple 6 months and 2 yr UK visit visas and now wish to apply for 5 yrs. I also have had multiple expired/used schengen tourist visas.

Over 3 million entered my acct since January for upfront allowances from my employers but bulk loan repayment brought my balance down to 20k. From salary and quarterly allowances in April I shall have up to 2 million by June when I intend to apply.

Q1: Would this current reduced balance of 20k affect me when i apply in June even if I attach the loan papers and explain in the space for additional information?

Q2: If so, should I just apply much later in the year when this reduced balance will be taken care of by the healthy balances that would come in from employment source?

Thank you for your assistance.

Thanks HOS13. I just figured the ECO might reject me because I didn't disclose in earlier visit visa applications. I have a sworn affidavit and a newspaper publication to that effect.

Good day. I wish to do a masters in the UK. I have all the documents and finances to apply for the visa and have read extensively this thread. My grey area is that my secondary school surname I changed before enrolling for the university. However, I didn't put the former name in the "other names" section of the visit visa forms I filled thrice over the years. I didn't because I didn't think it was important as the change is over 15 years ago. I am concerned now because in applying for a sudent visa now, my waec result will reflect that old name. I don't know what to do! Pls help, anyone!!!
