ifiokjohn: I want to let the Federal Government know that a War against the East is a War against the South South. Though I stand for One Nigeria, but I want a Nigeria where there is Equity, Justice, Fairness, Equality. Where the rule of Law will reign Supreme. If the Federal Govt do send the military into the SE, we in the south south will make sure Nigeria Economy go down worst than it is presently.
Dear@MBuhari, you can not win a war against the easterners...do not forget you still have Boko Haram at the far north including Iswap , you still got Bandits etc.. Nigeria Economy is presently at the worst and the East sit in the middle of the chicks that lays the Golden eggs. Igbos make up 25% of the indigenous peoplein the Niger delta when you minus the Ikwerres and ikas. We in the Niger delta that have Igbo friends, brothers, sisters. We will stand and watch igboland be consumed.
My Advice; The National Assembly should immediately convene a Sovereign National Conference so that each region can be able to decide what they want. No one should be force to remain in a Union he/she doesn't want.

Emergingnation: Why Compliance With Sit-at-home Order In Igboland Should Worry Buhari Government — Ohanaeze It was gathered that the Remembrance Day was observed in the five Southeastern states: Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo on Monday.
The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has said easterners' compliance with the sit-at-home order issued by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) sends a clear message to Nigeria.
It was gathered that the Remembrance Day was observed in the five Southeastern states: Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo on Monday.
Streets in Southeast Nigeria, according to reports, were deserted as the region commemorated the death of over one million people who died in the Biafra war half a century ago.
Marketplaces and roads were empty in the major cities of Aba, Owerri and Awka, in a renewed push by the separatist Indigenous People of Biafra to remember the war victims and heroes with a strict order for people to remain indoors on the said date.
In a statement issued by its Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the group said the level of success recorded in the May 31 sit-at-home order shows Igbo unity and respect for the fallen heroes.
He stated that the development ought to be a source of worry to constituted authorities at all levels as Igbos have sent a clear message.
Isiguzoro further called on Southeast Governors to seek to the release of all Biafra agitators arrested and imprisoned over agitations.
The statement read, ”Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide applauds Ndigbo for the new exhibition of 'Igbo unity, obedience to an emerging new leadership in southeastern Nigeria and respect for the fallen heroes, this development should be a source of worry to constituted authorities at all levels, and finally, Igbos had sent a clear message to Nigeria.
”Southeast Governors should cooperate with the people with the release of all Biafra agitators incarcerated in all the prisons and June 12 Democracy Day is the open window for State Pardons and amnesty.
”We call on Governor Willie Obiano to do the same, as history will be fair to him as a gentleman, for his instantaneous action through the immediate release of agitators in Anambra prisons, it will help to calm down the uprising against southeastern Nigeria.
”It's the finest period for Federal Government to halt the drift towards anarchy and dialogue with agitators across the Middle Belt and Southern Nigeria. The level of insecurity across the country, especially in Southeastern Nigeria should spur Federal Government to convoke a national dialogue without further delay.
”The full compliance of the sit-at-the home is a clue as to what Ndigbo will further do if certain anomalies are not corrected by the government at all levels, 'the most important thing is that Igbos are unique to know their leaders and hypocrites." http://saharareporters.com/2021/06/02/why-compliance-sit-home-order-igboland-should-worry-buhari-government-%E2%80%94-ohanaeze |

okeyglm: Amid concerns over possible human rights abuses and extra-judicial killings as recorded in the war against Boko Haram, Nigerian security agencies are set to launch a “major offensive” in the south-east, TheCable understands.
There has been a sustained campaign of arson on government buildings and killing of police officers in the south-east and parts of south-south since the turn of the year. Targeted are offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC), police stations, prisons and police checkpoints. Multiple security sources informed TheCable that President Muhammadu Buhari has given the security agencies the marching order to curtail what many Nigerians fear is a descent to anarchy.
“The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has recruited over 50,000 foot soldiers, as it were, into its Eastern Security Network (ESN) and stockpiled arms, most of which were stolen from police armoury during the End SARS protests,” a security operative told TheCable. “They have been bringing in arms through Cameroon in partnership with the Ambazonia Governing Council, the separatist movement in Southern Cameroon. IPOB sends at least 2,000 men and women to Cameroon for training on weapon handling every week.” Another top security official said IPOB has stockpiled “bottle bombs”, locally made explosive devices, Pump Action rifles “as well as swords”. wounded in previous attacks, operations of IPOB camps, doctors treating wounded colleagues, installation of CCTV camera at their training camps in Udi, Emene and Nsukka and how to attack police cells. “This is warfare,” the security operative added. IPOB has denied being violent in its separatist campaign, but it has also said it assembles arms and ammunition locally. Nigeria is expecting delivery of some military equipment, including fighter jets, from the US this month.
TheCable understands that police operations have also been rejigged in the south-east ahead of the offensive, with three deputy commissioners of police and squadrons of anti-riot police being deployed per state. Buhari warned on Tuesday that whoever wants the destruction of the system “ will soon have the shock of their lives . We’ve given them enough time”. Making reference to the Civil War of 1967-1970 when the declaration of Biafra was resisted by the Nigerian government, Buhari said he was going to be very hard to restore peace. “Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand. We are going to be very hard sooner than later,” he added.
Festus Keyamo, minister of state for labour, has hinted at the impending security offensive, tweeting on Tuesday: “I hope some elites who couldn’t find their voices to rein in their wards when their region burnt, will not suddenly find their voices against Mr. President! Those who screamed that it’s Mr. President’s duty to maintain law & order should NOT try to teach him how to do his job now.” insurgency IPOB Nigerian Army. https://www.thecable.ng/exclusive-military-police-set-to-launch-major-operations-against-insurgency-in-south-east |

Peace2allmen: I have said this many times over,Biafra of Igbos only or other similar tribes like Efik or Ibibio who identify with our beliefs and values and want to be part of it should be our utmost focus. There is no need bringing people who don’t like others into another nation and have another useless country like Nigeria. We can’t force others into it, that’s hypocrisy, akin to doing what the useless dream killer Nigeria is doing and people of good conscience shouldn’t be part of it. However, it would also be good for people down south to fight together and liberate themselves from Nigeria first and then to your tents oh Israel. |

bolaayenimo: Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos
The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has said he will continue to stand by his words that the activities of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) are unacceptable in the state whether his life is threatened or not.
The governor who spoke when he featured on Channels Television programme ‘Politics Today’ monitored by Daily Independent said he is not afraid of death as every man will die someday.
He said that the sit at home order cannot work in Rivers as the states is a South-South state and not one of the South-Eastern states.
He said “With all due respect, I have said it before and I will continue to say it, IPOB cannot make an order to say that people should sit at home in Rivers. I have said that clearly before because it does not exist in Rivers state. Rivers state is South-South. We are in Niger Delta”.
“I am not saying whether the people of South-East should not obey what IPOB has said or not but they cannot give orders to Rivers people that we should sit at home. No! It is not possible.
“Like I always say, I am not against IPOB’s activities in the South-East because they have a right to whatever they are doing with their people”.
“But as far as Rivers state is concerned, we are not part of it. So, you cannot give an order when we are not part of whatever you are doing? How does it work? It doesn’t work that way.
“It is like saying there are South Easterners who are staying in Lagos, therefore IPOB will give a sit at home order in Lagos that everybody should move”. “There are Igbo people staying in Kano, IPOB will go and make a sit at home order that nobody should move in Kano. It is not acceptable. So, IPOB for me.
"I have said it, whether people like it or not, whether people want to kill me. I know that yes, people must die one day but you must have to speak out and say this is not acceptable”.
“Our people are not part of it and so you cannot give order to people who are not part of what you are doing. When they gave that order, did anybody obeyed it in Rivers state? No, because it cannot work as we are not part of them” https://independent.ng/wike-to-ipob-i-am-not-afraid-of-death/ |

iamuyiekpen: I don’t know how many times you want us to knock this into your brains but we will continue to tell you Igbos until you eventually get the memo. South South (Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom & Cross River) can never & will never be part of Biafra. We will support the independence of Biafra but we will never be part of Biafra. We can be good neighbors & trade partners without being a part of Biafra.

If these countries despite having a lot in common don’t live in the same country, why then do you so badly want us to join Biafra?
