Greetings one and all. I'll try to make my lamentation as short as possible.

My mother accused me of stealing her 2k, but I assure you, I didn't. The money got missing on Thursday night according to her and my 13 year old brother. I won't do such a thing, because the times are hard and the pandemic is fueling this hard times. I'm not lazy, I kind of work from home, I write for opera news hub and to some extent I get money from there, currently I have 19k in my account. I have no motive of taking her money, but she insists I took it, and is currently threatening to throw me out of the house.

This is not the first time such thing has happened. When I was still in secondary school, money got missing often and she'll blame me, beat me and starve me for stealing her money, but God helped me and the culprit was found, my other brother was caught, he is 18 now and doesn't stay with us anymore. He stays with my dad. She never apologized for what she did and the scars of that emotional and physical abuse still ripples across my body. But this time I'm not sure I will forgive her if the money is found. I'm planning on leaving home and starting my life somewhere, it's hard, it might just be my naivety speaking, but I need your advice.

The only skill I have is writing and web designing, which I'm almost getting good at. I just need help and guidance. I'm a 200level student and I major in psychology. I'll be 21 by November.

Whosoever that made that sitting arrangement, didn't do it well. People would sit facing someone directly. It's not supposed to be so. The sitting arrangement should have been left and right, meaning that if a person sits on the left, the other should sit on left so that there's no to face to back contact.

I just got a redmi note 8 and it's shocking how it saps data like water. I've restricted necessary apps but it's still on the increase. Like I'm using an average of 1gb per day if not more despite a restricted use.

Is this peculiar to me alone?

MY COVID 19 LOCKDOWN EXPERIENCE WITH A GIRL I MET IN PH

Following the spread of corona virus around the world and Nigeria in particular, Rivers state government order a total lockdown in Port Harcourt. Some how I got caught up in the #stayathome coz I leave in PH and work with one of the multi national companies...

I decided to take my chances with this damsel I met in a phone charging kiosk one evening. After dropping some funny & cocky lines she gave me her number. She said she is a graduate of biology and teaches with one of the secondary schools in the area. So we agreed to hang out on schedule.

DAY ONE: Thursday
We agreed on date in my place by 10:am. I did not hear from her until 2:00pm by this time I was tried of waiting. I had to call off the date but she insisted she was coming. Finally we had to agree on another date the next day.

DAY Two: Friday
I changed tactics and it worked. I invited her to a very popular joint in the area. She showed up by 11:30am and we had a nice time together talking about the past and her NYSC experience in Jos while sipping chilled bottles of beer and pepper meat. Finally she said she had to leave, while I was seeing her off, it rained heavily and we had to look up for shelter around for the rain to subside, but it never did. I had to look around for where to borrow an umbrella. By this time we were very close to my apartment so I convinced her and she indulged. We went to my place by this time I was in control and the rest they say is history.

DAY THREE: Saturday
She had called me by 8am in the morning to ask what my schedule would be, me I told her I would be in-door for the lockdown and was all hers. She showed up by 10:am and said she will be in my place till 6:pm and it was really fun Nairalanders.

She invited me to her church the following day. I had no problem with that if the church respects the social distancing and they were not more than fifty worshippers per service. But before that she said she had a surprise for me and will not let the cat out of the bag. After much persuasion she told me that the dad was the pastor of the church.

But then, I really wanted to make her happy by honoring this invitation, which I did.
It was more of a family church, her dad the pastor, her mum the Sunday school teacher, while she is the song leader. It was just me and her family in the church, at least the joy of having a new convert.

DAY FOUR:
I told her she had to come over and compensate for the boring service which she did and like I said the rest is history Nairalanders...

This is where the problem is, she called me last night to ask me where this relationship was heading to , and that she is beginning to feel I was just in for the fun and she feel used, bla bla bla. I woke up this morning to her SMS that I should prove I love her if we should continue with the lockdown

I remember telling her I was in a relationship and that my partner was serving her NYSC in Cross Rivers before the lockdown for the corvid 1-9. Where did I go wrong Nairalanders

I have similar experience. Girls are eager to be in a relationship once you have a stable job and your own place.

When I got there, she was just telling me my boss drinks a lot which is quite true but he dosent misbehave. That it is too much. As a guy man I covered up for my boss. And I left her and my boss.

Today we went to her shop. My boss ordered for drink for us. We started drinking. Later I went out, she followed me. We sat together and started talking. She started telling me that If she actually saw me first she would have dated me that she loves me that she doesn't like my boss. I was quite shocked and told her that since she is already dating my boss it is not possible. Then my boss and one of my other colleague with a lady came out and joined us. That was how we started gisting again. I had an important call to pick so I later entered her shop because the outside was noisy. That was how this lady came inside and kissed me. I was really shocked I have to run outside.

My boss and I later left her place for a burial where a friend of his (a lady) invited us to a burial. When I got there this lady started saying she really likes me that she wish she meet me earlier that she would have dated me.. That she really likes me a lot. My boss now jokingly asked me that I want to take all his girls from him. Mind you that my boss girlfriend calls me her husband even people close to her shop call me her husband.. And these ladies are way older than Me..

Please all I need from you guys is advice on what to do cause am confused.

American Express (AmEx) has announced its partnership with Interswitch Nigeria on Friday February 21. AmEx is seeking to expand its reach in Africa, especially Nigeria, leveraging on the large number of users already on the Interswitch platform.

The partnership will also help Interswitch to use American Express to establish itself in the Americas.

The duo provide financial payment services and are looking to expand their operations beyond the continent of their origin. The partnership will enable American Express Cardmembers to carry out a wide range of transactions including ATM withdrawals via Interswitch. On the other hand, it will allow Interswitch to integrate its network of merchants in Nigeria into the global American Express network.

“AmEx and Interswitch are aligned in our desire to provide fast and secure payment solutions and transactions across Nigeria. With this new partnership, we are improving AmEx Cardmember access to a convenient and secure network, which also benefits our merchants who will gain new opportunities presented by an expanded user base.

“By remaining card scheme neutral, Interswitch will continue to explore innovative partnerships that will benefit consumers and retailers alike,” said Akeem Lawal the Divisional Chief Executive Officer for payment processing at Interswitch.

The partnership agreement entails that Interswitch will manage American Express merchants in Nigeria, offering them unlimited transaction access that was previously impossible due to the scanty transaction options offered by AmEx to its Cardmembers in Nigeria. As part of the deal, Interswitch will expand American express business presence by bringing new merchants into the platform.

The Vice President & General Manager, Global Network Partnerships EMEA for American Express, Vivi Galani said that the company is always looking to consolidate its role as a leader in the global network.

“We are excited to be partnering with Interswitch, a well-respected pan-African financial technology company, to continue to grow our presence in Nigeria. As we partner with leading banks and financial institutions around the world, we are bringing the powerful backing of the American Express network to Cardmembers and merchants by expanding acceptance of our cards.”

Lawal said Interswitch’s partnership with American Express should spur more merchants to join Interswitch, he reiterated the company’s commitment to uphold excellence in service to everyone aboard its platform.

Just a month ago, the company got listed in the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), with a whopping N23 billion bond, and has started living up to the big move by expanding its tent beyond Africa.

Meanwhile, Good Is Good Logistics (GIGL) is partnering with Gokada and ORide to expand its logistics delivery services in Lagos. The Lagos State’s ban on motorcycle services in has put a sudden stop to the business of all the motorbike ridesharing services, and opened them up to other options that can put them back in business.

Well, the ban exempted dispatch riders and that seems to have offered hope to the displaced ride-sharing companies.

Gokada was the first to take an aim at service delivery in the wake of the ban, a strategy that has caught the attention of GIGL, who are reportedly in talks with Gokada, ORide and some others for a partnership deal in delivery service.

GIGL Lead, expansion and growth, Odafe Onojah admitted that the companies are in talks for a deal that will result in the utilization of the suspended bikes for logistics services.

However, there have been concerns about the large number of motorcycles affected by the ban; if there will be a room for most of them in the logistics business. Onojah said the market space for the services is wide enough to accommodate a large number of motorbikes, and such fears are not of concern.

“In this present age, people no longer want to leave the comfort of their homes, when there is a reliable delivery service that can bring whatever they want to their doorsteps,” he said.

While the pivot appears salvage to the ridesharing companies, it poses fear of disruption to the service delivery market. With the number of companies involved and the number of dispatch riders to be incorporated, delivery items will not be enough to go round.

There is also concern that the state government may eventually take a swipe at the idea.

Hi guys,
So I'll be very direct and summarize this as possible. But please bear with me if I get carried away...

I've been been dating my girlfriend for a year now and we are very serious and I'm even considering proposing to her, but we are not based in the same town.

So I called her with another number last night, she couldn't recognize my voice cause I sounded different, so I decided to play around cause we gist and make fun of each other a lot. So I acted like I was someone who got her number and is trying to toast her.

She asked who was speaking and I said Victor, that I got her number when I saw her in the bank, we were on the same queue, so I copied her number from her teller, she laughed and all, so after all the lines I poured out, she was just laughing and flowing along, so I asked if we could see that night, but she said it was late but I had to persuade her, so she agreed that I instead come to her place to see her. "This is someone she hasn't met before and she agreed for him to come see her at her place, in the night for that matter".

So I asked for her address and she gave out her real address, asked if she has a boyfriend and she said yes but we ain't in the same town.
I got upset and had to open up and ask why she's cheating on her guy? At this point she was mute and ended the call. I called back but she didn't answer anymore.

So I just dropped a message on WhatsApp that I was disappointed.

Her reply was devastating: she wrote;

Don't even get me more angry.
Just do yourself a favor by not ever mentioning me in your mouth again.

I will go straight to the point. I'm 29years old and I have no girlfriend to call mine. Although when I was in school and during my NYSC some girls do give me attention but the moment we all did POP it was like the world changed for us all. I realized maybe I was too busy getting worried about the future than I should have had more time for women.

All along, my intention was to graduate, have a good job, then go into a serious relationship and get married but reality can be often disappointing.
It's rather unfortunate that no job is forthcoming since I finished service in December, 2017.
