Long lines of people at gas stations anxiously waiting to fill up their cars has become an unnerving reality in the United Kingdom in recent days, giving the government a black eye and sparking fears of another winter of discontent. As many as two-thirds of the Petrol Retailers Association’s nearly 5,500 independent retail outlets ran out of fuel as of Monday, with the rest following soon.

But it’s not actually a fuel shortage—it’s a labor shortage. For the last few months, a shortage of over 100,000 qualified truck drivers, also known as heavy goods vehicle drivers, has disrupted many industries such as food and fuel, causing ripple effects in grocery stores, restaurants, and now gas stations.

The UK government was set to introduce a temporary easing of visa restrictions for foreign truck drivers as consumer fuel supplies run low, local media reported on Saturday.

British newspapers said that Downing Street would go back on a previous pledge and offer up to 5,000 short-term visas for drivers of heavy goods vehicles (HGV). The decision was set to come into effect to avoid disruptions during the busy period in the run-up to Christmas.
If you are a truck driver in Nigeria get your passport ready.

(quote author=Raph3177 post=96883893]Hello my fellow nairalanders, I want to introduce u all to an import and export investment opportunity which was introduced to me 2 years ago which I ignored until this year. This investment has been paying for years and their office is located in Abuja which I have personally visited. A friend actually introduced it to me and he has done full 2 years circle and have been enjoying 20 percent on investment every 2 month For 1 year of which capital will be paid back in the final 2 month of the 1 year if u don’t want to roll over. The name of the company is peacefulpeaceimportexport.com and their sister company is Inshaallahu.com ( Insha Allahu asset management and investment limited) u can visit their website and get more information yourself and do your due diligence but trust me they actually pay and a pastor of mine invested 1 millionaires this June. I invested 250k early September just to test and I got paid my 20 percent after 2 month which came 4 days before due date. They are known for early payment every 2 month which normally run for a year before capital will be returned if u don’t wish to roll over. I will attach my certificate of investment below so u all can see for yourself and make your smart decision. I strongly recommend [/quote]

Let me start by saying thanks to those who gave meaningful information for school process , visa and rest. You guys are great.for those that said eeeh no job oooh. I laugh you but it’s best to keep silent cos am not here to argue with anyone. What I will say is my life has been more better off than when I was in Nigeria.God has been faithful through out my staying here in Sofia. My advise is just follow your heart and work towards achieve what you want. If I had listen to those who say negative words about Bulgaria I wouldn’t have been here, so follow your dreams. If you never try you will never know. Remember there will always be people who will discourage you it’s part of life. Cheer all and happy new year in advance
pls how can i get intouc wit u pls for more info abt d area
