PoliticsRe: Who Do You draw Inspiration from in The Nigerian Political History? by ELEOVIE(op): 2:58pm On Feb 14, 2010
I think Dora made the move pretty too late. If she wanted to draw attention to herself as a hero, she would have started singing her opinion when the court gave FEC the two week ultimatum to decide on Yar' Adua.

Why do you prefer Dora to Fahola or Ribadu?

PoliticsWho Do You draw Inspiration from in The Nigerian Political History? by ELEOVIE(op): 3:19pm On Feb 11, 2010
You know in the US, people draw a lot of inspiration from leaders like, Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy, Bill Clinton and even Barack Obama.

In Britain, we have the likes of Winston Churchill, Princess Diana.

In South Africa, we have Nelson Mandela, F.W. De Klerk.

In India, Mahatma Ghandi.

and in our dear country, Nigeria grin grin grin

What is your opinion?
PoliticsRe: Can Jonathan Goodluck Deliver? by ELEOVIE(m): 2:56pm On Feb 11, 2010
Ikomi:
Now that Jonathan Goodluck is the acting president, the only question that goes through my mind is can he deliver on the 7 point agenda even if given a chance of a 4 year term.
Honestly, I think he has a vision for this country (at least he has seen first hand the degree of rot that exists in the FG - Aondaokaa and Co.)and he will likely carry it out. What I don't know is if those who push for this demonic South-North Presidential rotation system which robs us of our fundamental voting rights will allow him.
I say this because in Nigeria, even if you have done the best, the other region will always tell you that its their turn and this is one of our greatest problem.

Those of you who think that wealth frees you from the desire to steal, check out our politicians and also the word "kleptomainiac" - Pls note that the mother of Queen Elizabeth of England was a Kleptomaniac) .
I am disturbed by the rate at which our youths are adopting the same culture of the denial of reality and truth of which our AGF is known for.

People should know that there are many steps from when a man becomes "disturbed by his fathers wealth" and when he decides to bomb a US bound plane.

Car TalkRe: Installmental Payment Plan For Cars by ELEOVIE(m): 10:41am On Aug 19, 2009
My Opinion:
I would advise that the Auto Industry come up with a list of approved "stable and reliable"companies (comprising all kinds of businesses and from all the sectors of the economy) and offer this installmental payment plan to their staff who have served for at least 3years with the company. Also the payment spread should be extended to 7yrs so as to reduce the effect on the buyer.

Why I think this will work:
Because every reliable and stable company has a condition of service for her employees and the bulk of the wealth of a worker lies in his/her gratuity. In the event that the worker is fired, his/her gratuity will be used to settle the remainder of the bills.

How this will work:
The auto industry association in Nigeria should first come up with their standards of approval of companies with which any subscribing company can be stress tested. These standards must be specific to each sector of the economy. So for example, the standards for stress testing or assessing companies that fall into the oil and gas sector will be different from that of companies that fall into the Health sector and so on.

Put yourself in the Auto seller's shoes:
Would you want to sell 1000 cars to 1000 people working in companies that cannot even afford to pay them their monthly wages, some companies owe up to three months unpaid wages.

Would you sell a car on a credit basis to a person who earns N20,000 a month. How can he cope with the deductions?

This is my input and Im inviting people who reason constructively and purposefully to comment.

The only thing i like in this thread is that there is a great deal of constructive thinking and not a bunch of curses being hauled at each other.

No matter the outcome of your argument, please guys, continue to keep it intelligent and fact based.

PoliticsRe: Should Nigeria Split Up? by ELEOVIE(m): 1:36pm On Jul 29, 2009
YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS NIGERIA SHOULD SPLIT UP.

Other countries are united in one Vision, one Purpose and Goal; Nigeria is united in Oil and Deceit.
1. A fool at 40 is a fool forever, We are well above 40.
2. We cannot move forward because many Nigerians are infected with tribalism and this will take over 500yrs to wipe out.
3. It is also hopeless for slaves who call themselves politicians to rule Kings and make any significant progress.
4. Right now, we have slaves at the helm of affairs accross the country.
5. There are some very few people (not slaves) who are in government and are really making the difference.
