Sometimes it seems these cult guys have africanism undertone in their movement.
For example you hear them say futa jallon which is where the fulanis under usman dan fodio came from.
And again u hear them mention great africanists as jaja, shaka zulu, askia muhammad, madiba mandela etc.
If so,i welcome the original idea by wole soyinka and mandela but these current fools are counter productive.
All things being equal am a fan of any nationalist movement.

It seems u are from the tribe that believe so much in certificates.
Emeagwali,Albert Einstein and a host of others failed in the fantasy world of academics but are role models in the real world.
A professor in my department once addressed us during our final year in futo.
He said"you can be a success in this academics world and a failure in the real world".
Though he is an atheist, that statement is a guide to me.

When you hear an exploit by a nigerian in the diaspora, its always a southerner while the northerners are local champions.
Remember the nengiti guy from bayelsa that broke 38 year old record in the usa war college.
Born to rule mentality of the inferiority complex suffering northerners made us to lose the services of great men and women.
Both hausas and the Europeans are lacking in human resources as the northern controlled fg frustrate intellectuals from nigeria only to run to be embraced by the waiting arms of the west.
Our loss,their gain.

Lol, these civilians you called played important patriotic roles at one point or the other. They took some wrong decisions at the time, no doubt, but they were still good men.

As for the '5 majors', even though their intentions were good, the fact that they didn't succeed would mean what they did will always have a criminal undertone, depending on which side of the fence you are. To some they're heroes, to others, villains.

P.S: they were more than 5 though.
ur so-called patriots are ethnic champions at best.
If there is a patriot there, its zik but they laid this faulty foundation we are grappling with now.
When u think of zik's financial crime with ACB African continental bank and u remember okotie eboh's inflated contracts and flamboyant lifestyle and armadu bello was busy grooming vipers like murtalas ibbs abachas yar aduas to perpetuate his born to rule agenda,u will just forget about these generational mistakes called unfounded fathers.

Fela in particular was killed because he cant stop exposing dictators which obj is and if fela never feared the military fools how can he fear them in a democratic setting so he cant be allowed to expose them in what would be the biggest fraud in the history of nigeria which is the 1999 gang of looters.

Caveatemptor:
The real story is that Fela was on Decca label owned by Abiola. There was an argument over record sales and royalties, so Fela and his 27 queens and all his band boys headed for Decca records and illegally occupied the place for days until they were ejected by the police. Fela then hired some night soilsmen called agbepoo to go and dump buckets of poo poo(shit) in front of Abiolas house over night such that the occupants could not exit the house in the morning.
Seun should get his facts right please.
was fela arrested for bringing poo to mko's house or for robbing mko's wife of a red car?
The problem with this country is with the desperate image doctors like you.
I have watched a documentary where fela was tortured for armed robbery and he even showed part of his buttocks where pressing iron was used on him and its very horrible.
Fela bore a mark on his body for being a man and speaking up while u are defending the indefensible.

You people just like to post rubbish on the net in order to demean other tribes especially the Yorubas! Why I do not support ascribing any monetary gain to MKO Abiola's June 12 1993 Struggles because the issue is bigger than that, nobody can wish away, just in order to distort history, the contributions of Yorubas to the Nigeria nation building. Or have you forgotten that our son, late Col. Adekunle Fajuyi sacrificed his life for Major Gen Aguiyi Ironsi - an Ibo man and what of late Col Banjo - another Yoruba hero, who fought on the side of Biafra during the civil war, just to mention a very few examples. We the Yorubas are ever grateful to God for the liberal nature in our DNA which Baba God bestowed on us, and that is why we are very accommodating.
but banjo and ifeajuna were planning coup and frustrated the ore movement by intentionally delaying at Ore mischievously waiting for murtala's 2nd division as an excuse to run back.banjo was true to his blood,a traitor.

Thanks for your observation,
I am an Igbo man, biafra is the dream of every well meaning Igbo man but not nnamdi Kanu's type of Biafra...the marginalization has been there for ages and I believe only Igbo presidency can proffer a lasting solution through the use of presidential power to develop the region and amend the constitutions to ensure equality,

How can you remember marginalization only when your choice candidate is not favoured? What has their PDP loved representatives including the "self acclaimed" hero done to change situations?

The North or Nigeria is not our problem, our own leaders are our problem, if they can make judicious use of their allocations over the years in developing our area, am telling u with the way igbos are hard-working, we can survive comfortably without blaming anybody................

It is only in Igbo land that a Local Government Chairman amass wealth in the tune of Billions within 4 years in office.
just take a look at yourself and listen to the trash u just uttered.
The problem with nijeriya is that of foundation.
If being president will transform any place, the north will have developed like dubai, otueke would have developed, ogun state would have developed.
But nijeriya wasnt meant to be good.
Give her a million years she will never grow.
I heared one fool from the north saying that by 2050,nijerija will have a population of 400 million people and that 70% of these people will be in the north.
This will tell a discerning person that the jailer is not relenting soon.
