PoliticsRe: Lawmaker Decries Negative Image Of Ajegunle by ElRazur: 11:08am On Mar 08, 2010
Why do you post in such a crude manner? undecided

Gosh why do people try too hard to be "different" around here? undecided

This is how it is in the link you posted:

The Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA), Kolawole Taiwo, has decried the notoriety associated with Ajegunle, a Lagos suburb.

Mr. Taiwo, who stated this over the weekend, said vices and other social ills were not limited to Ajegunle.

The lawmaker said that such social vices also occurred in high brow areas of the state and noted that the congested nature of Ajegunle gives a negative impression about it, adding that evil acts in high brow areas were concealed behind large gates and walls.

"Anywhere the poor and down trodden live are usually perceived as black spots," Mr. Taiwao said. "Some people who live in high brow areas do worse things within the confines of their compounds, but in Ajegunle we do not have gates and live in rooms facing one another. There is, therefore, a tendency to limit crimes like wife battery in Ajegunle, while elite in high brow areas who beat their wives black and white do it and nobody would see."

He explained that the area had produced many national football players, such as Taribo West, Sunday Oliseh, Emanuel Amunike and Samson Siasia as well as music stars, including Daddy Showkey.

"Ajegunle is not the way people think and paint it. I have lived there all my life and was educated up to master's degree level. We have a lot of educated and successful people," he said.

Speaking on crime rate in the area, the legislator said Ajegunle had its fair share of black spots like other parts in the metropolis, noting that most youth in the area are unskilled and unemployed which impacts negatively on their lives.

Mr. Taiwo said the state government has provided a skills acquisition centre in the area to take care of the problem and also said that he had earlier donated one skill centre to the area, where youths and women were trained in various vocations and given seed money to begin their own businesses.

The lawmaker, who represents Ajeromi Ifelodun 1 constituency where Ajegunle is located, said the problem of congestion in the area was being tackled by the state government.
So why post some crude version?

Anyway, @topic

The law makers need to stay out of this jare. The image is working for those of us who truly love ajegunle. It is not exactly bad if them see my yearn.

so, you have not read where the bible stated that Jesus was made poor, so that we could be rich? and who said the jet belonged to Adeboye? is the jet's name in Adeboyes? and who told you he didn't wear one of the finest robes? even if you have the right to say anything, does that give you the right to beat down others just because you have the right to talk? have you really researched the purpose of the jet, who bought it and how it's being maintained?

now, i know why you're sounding this way, so I'm betterof not discussing with a man of science since everything is always interpreted your way and not how it's suppose to be.

thank you for your time.
Again the real meaning is spiritual richness and not worldly riches. Please post the Chapter and Verse, we can all learn from it.

Oh yeah off course, he is smart enough to make it look like it isn't his own. Gosh, don't be gullible.

Yeah, next time please don't come trying to convince me about your man of God who is noting but a fraud. grin

"God" bless you too. grin

Stop dreaming Mr man, even if any natural disaster is to happen in Nigeria, it's surely not going to be in the north, very few natural disaster can happen in the night (wildwind), the most hit would be the west and the south, so are these set the problem of Nigeria? remember how many people died in the old soviet union in the ww1, ww11, did it make them better? who told you Israel now is better? is it because they're getting sympathy votes from other countries, you know term them to be better than before?
Who says anything about the north? It could be any tribe. Please do not make assumptions.

Again, please look up on the human world wide population figures before the world wars. It goes with what I stated before, when a population reaches an optimum size, some of it will have to die off, be it from war, natural disaster etc. This is a well known fact. The world population peaked just before the two world wars. Fact.

You really are moving into something else. In the context I used Israel as an example, it is correct. Heck, one can argue Israel is better developed than Nigeria.

Next point please and don't bore me this time. grin

And did Jesus wear rag or walk on foot? do you remember that he rode a donkey into Jerusalem in the bible? so because he's a pastor, he should live in poverty? where do you people get the notion that a man of God should be poor?

One more thing, the more you type, the more sin you commit as a christian, didn't your bible tell you never to judge anyone? i bet you are just a christian by religion and nothing more.

Jesus was made poor so we his children be rich (hope u have read that in the bible before?) and one more thing, he hasn't forced anyone to pay tithe or pay offerings, if any pastor does that, you still don't have the right to judge him, if you must, then you should sue him to court or don't you know that can be done?
No Jesus never wore rag, neither did he wore a designer either. [He never wore the finest robes that is]

His riding of a donkey into Jerusalem was of a significant purpose. Donkey is seen as a sign of modesty etc. If he had rode on a horse, perhaps you may have a point as Horse represent power, respect etc.

I never said he should be poor, he should not be filthy rich either. A private jet cost millions of naira to maintain a year, where does that money comes from? From poor gullible souls who give a tenth of their earnings and sunday contributions in the hope of fulfilling the words of God.

I have a right to Judge him. I am not one of "your people". I will have opinion on anyone and anything. It is what makes me ElRazur, it is what makes me human.

No Jesus died on the cross so that you can have eternal life. This do not translate to wordly riches like Adeboye seem to have amass.

Finally, I am not one of your people. I am a man of Science. I do not have to sue him, for me to have an opinion of him. Do you have problem with this?

And in your mind, you think death in Nigeria would make Nigeria better eh? what about the riot we've been having all these while, in last 10 years, more than 200,000 are dead, has that changed anything? if you die or any of your relatives die, it has no effect on Nigeria because you have no say in what happens in Nigeria.
Yes. The death of about 50million people will at least wipe out some tribes or make them "severely endangered". It will mean we will be at a more manageable figure, lesser strain on resources, it will make us think harder and approach things with a different thinking. It worked for the Jews - some will argue their deaths in larg numbers have helped the nation of Israel in a lot of fronts - Be it technical, weaponry, science, space etc.

200000 in the last 10 years is nothing. Malaria kills more than that in a year.

When I said my relative, I am speaking of the orginal statement I made. Obviously, it is highly unlikely that their death alone will bring change, but if they have to die [including me] as part of a bigger picture, I have no problem with it. grin

Death is nothing and all this sensitivity is not addressing the issue.

What has this man of God done to you people self. If you are true xtians, you need not to judge him.
Given his track records and various allegations against him, only a fool will not.

I guess Jesus had Jet or equivalent of a jet in his life time? I suppose Jesu wore the finest linen and designers during his life time? I suppose Jesus was literally stealing from the so called flock? No?

Since you sleep with death, why not do us a favor by staying there with death, even if you don't live in Nigeria, you sure have relatives in Nigeria, don't you? you have indirectly stated that you want them dead and you don't give a hoot about them.
How? Well if they have to die for Nigeria to be better. I have no problem with that. If I have to die too for a Nigerian or two to better their lives, I have no issues with it. It is a cause worth dying for. grin

My guess? Religion and love for anything foreign [It is perceived as better than that at home] So those with better qualification and experience will forever be at a disadvantaged.

Not sure if the Nigeria situation amounts as one. The primary motivation is not Genocide. More like fight over resources etc. Even when it is reported in international news, it is not cited a genocide, but a violence as a result of control of local infrastructure, resources, fear of the foreign etc.

I am sure he denied ownership. It was instead owned apparently by group of church-goers who felt their pastor should not be flying with ordinary people.

In a normal country where everything works. He will be asked to step down for such comments. He clearly do not have an idea the grave consequence of what is going on and how unprofessional his comments are. But then, Nigeria is not normal.
PoliticsRe: International Criminal Court Must Probe Nigeria Religious Violence In Jos by ElRazur: 8:20am On Mar 08, 2010
I am not sure this case falls within the jurisdiction of the ICC. There is no one figure responsible in my opinion, this isn't genocide, the government is not taking sides or seen as arming one group over the other. Anyone know if there is a ground for them to get involve?
Christianity EtcRe: Natural Disaster Will Soon Hit Nigeria - Adeboye by ElRazur: 8:17am On Mar 08, 2010
For once I welcome this prediction. While I do not believe in it, I somehow hope it comes through. You think am mad? Wait, hear me out.

Imagine a big disaster struck and kills about 10 million people, it will be go a long way in easing some of the problem in Nigeria. It is a well known fact that when a population goes beyond its limit or above sustainable growth, there are some natural disaster -disease [like black death ] - do play a part in keeping the figures in check. It will even be better if say about 50 million gets wiped out just like that. No I am not evil, just stating a scenario that may or may not happen. wink If 50 million people get wiped out and after the sorrow and what not, imagine the changes that will happen? There will be enough resources to go round than before etc.

Hmmmm, this prediction is welcome jare. grin
