cou-gar:This is Arsenal, not Man U. The thread for man U is out there some where. We cannot afford to play a guy who is not in peak condition in a crucial match - That is, having him start the game IMO. You don't bring a knife to a gun fight. Right now, RvP is more or less a sharp knife, I will play him once he transform into a gun that we know him to be. |
That is like asking what part of the pepper makes the soup taste nice. I'm sorry to state the obvious, but what you are asking is really a non-question. As we all know, there are many things that were considered by panel of people who know more than you and me. As it stand, he was deemed to have all those qualities or meet those criteria. So, I will take their view over yours. Especially when all you do is set out to be a WUM just for the sake of it. I am Arsenal fan and I recognise the contributions of Wilshere when he plays. Heck he is one of England's hot prospect and to find some random dude off the internet questioning his credential is laughable. |
debosky:Lwkmd. I am now more convinced that Proudly naija should never be allowed in the team sheet meeting ever again. PS Even in Pro Evo 2011, them start Chammy ahead of RvP lol |
dayokanu:So he scores a goal. What next, a footballer gets a card? Wilshere is known because he is one of the young and upcoming player in EPL and Europe. He made the list for a reason. Simply because you want to rubbish his achievement do not make his achievement less credible. On what authority is the poll flawed? Yours? Don't make me laugh. You complained of a flawed poll, yet all your attempt is to rubbish him. Are you kidding me? |
Lol@you guys. Proudlynaija, Chammy is our best and most effective option. Like Debo already mentioned, he (RvP) is not back to full sharpness. As per the back four for Chelsea John Terry is not in peak form either and hence Chammy provides that edge that we want over him (Since Terry can be influential in games like this) If the back four latch on to him, he's got more chances of winning balls through his presence and his aerial threat (than RvP). As rightly mentioned by someone, he is our Drogba equivalent. Oh, latching on to him will pave way for Nasir and Arshavin to penetrate in my opinion. |
A 10 million dollar car. Yes, my woman bought it. And yes my name is Jay Z. |
iice:It sucks, it appears men are usually the victims. You know, women hide behind the pretext of "you have to be a man and do this and that for me". No, how about you do it for yourself? lol I was reading the other thread about how a girl wanted her man (or taking money off her man) for Brazillian hair that cost 80k. I mean, WTF. I am just happy that my kind of woman ain't like that. |
proudly9ja: I don't wanna see you in the "team sheet" decision making meeting ever. ![]() The big guns for the Chelsea back four are back and they will effectively out-muscle RvP. Chammy on the other hand can hold, out run and cause wahala for the back four and Midfield all together. To not start him is a very bad tactical move in my opinion. We need to get him in there! Chammy is our "special move" and we need to use him if we want to win, and I mean use him from the start. |
iice: ![]() You want a million dollar tokunbo car too? ![]() |
Mobinga:How is the above making sense? So star-wars is crap too? Here is a review of Star wars (The force unleashed) getting very decent scores, both from users and reputable sites. http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps3/961720-star-wars-the-force-unleashed-ultimate-sith Even the acclaimed God-Father gets a shiny review http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps3/937717-the-godfather-the-dons-edition Same thing for Spider-Man http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps3/991323-spider-man-shattered-dimensions And as for the rest of your post, how is it different from what I posted originally? What a joke. |
So Asange now signs a book deal? Yeah, we all know it was never about personal gain from the beginning. http://edition.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/europe/12/27/wikileaks.julian.assange.book.deal.ft/index.html?eref=edition - Julian Assange has signed book deals worth more than £1m in the US and UK, to allow the WikiLeaks founder to cover his legal fees and maintain the whistleblowing site. |
FameMonsta:Do you just buy any game or do you not research and look up user review and game footage before you pay with your hard-earned money? ![]() I am yet to play any "rubbish game" because I just do not buy any game. |
Do you not find it odd that way snow and adverse weather just mucked the whole fixture up. See Man C played 19 games or so and are sitting above us leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. God forbid, if they (Citeh) wins the EPL, I will lose all interest in EPL I swear. |
I find it bizarre anyone can question Chammy's contribution. This is a guy that hit the EPL ground and was up and running without going through "adaptation period" that most foreign players go through. He is one of the players that most Arsenal fans will probably say he gives all most times. To pick on him, question his credentials or contribution is laughable. |
There is no rule to it. Get yourself involved in community interactions in your area. Get involve in debate etc. From there build up a base and launch yourself from there. |
I came across this "tweet" from someone I follow ". . .At this rate by the time our children become OUR age, MARRIAGE will be a myth & LOVE will be determined solely by MATERIALISM." Is it me or does it feel like we are already in an era where love is associated with materialism? For example Beyounce buying some millions of dollars worth of car for Jay Z on his birthday. This sort of materialism seem to set a bench mark in which some people will try to match, or what some females will now expect from males. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate good things, but I think True Love does not equate to materialism. This trend, in my opinion, appears to be ever growing in our world too where some ladies feel the men owe them an obligation to shower them with gifts. ![]() |

Two different games. How can one be "better"? Better in what aspect? If you are asking about Graphics then it is widely accepted that GOW3 is better. Apart from that, both are two different games that cater for different taste. |
Homeboy, what's up now? ![]() |
biolabee:There is nothing to feel sorry about. This is the way I see it, The league is getting more competitive and while we have maintained consistency in the top over and over, it can only be right for other teams to move up. Once you are at the top, where else do one go? No where really but to maintain staying at the top, this is something no one can question Arsenal on. In my opinion, I feel the EPL is going through a transition-phase and it will see a shake in the "top four" or see the expansion of the "top four". That is, the phrase "Top five" or so adopted. |
Is it possible to set up a thread where real gunners only can post? Some of the filth in here from so called fans are astonishing. ![]() |
tkb417:Gbam. Close thread. It is just mind-boggling the length at which someone like Dayokanu will go posting rubbish really in order to make a "one up" point against Arsenal. |
drrionelli:To address your last point, I think Yoruba, just like English have widely accepted standard. I had the opportunity of experiencing different places where Yoruba is spoken - Ilorin, Lagos, Ogun (Ijebu), Ondo (Ekiti) etc. What I noticed is that in these places, there are slight variations but each and everyone from these places can still speak to each other if they ever come across. Another observation of mine is that regardless of where these Yoruba people come from, they can always read the Yoruba Bible. This suggest to me that there is a standard and common ground in face of all the various dialects we have. I do agree that it will be practical and a step in the right direction to have an over-seeing body that you suggested. |
You guys just come here to post dribble and try to present it as fact. Gosh. Jesus wasn't born on Xmas day. This statement cannot said to be a fact, however there are evidences that support the notion that Jesus was not born in December. The widely accepted notion was that he was born probably around October period. fashizie:Christmas is a combination of pagan festival in some respect - Witches have festival dating back a long time that is similar to what is now celebrated as Xmas. Having said that, the whole idea of Father Christmas have basis in Christianity as it was a saint from Turkey or so that goes around doing good. If memory serves me correct, he normally put money in the shoes of poor people or something. Also the whole red outfit father Christmas comes from Coca-cola using it in their advert from a long time and the image just stuck with people and now widely adopted. So all in all, there are festival of different religions that are similar to Christmas, this do not make Xmas a pagan festival per se but at the same time jesus is widely believe to be born around October. |
Blackteeth:I think you will find that the older you get the less these celebrations hold their value. On contrast, it will be something memorable for someone who is young and possibly free of responsibilities. iphy42:It is not anti-Christian. There however elements that are not christain related. This do not make it anti-Christian. Father Christmas have origin in what is essentially Christianity, so your statement is misleading. |
Ode remo, you are right. It sucks when slang seem to take the place of normal language. It wouldn't be a problem at all if it is just a trend thing. For example, in English language when slang words late used by the speaker, they tend to know the real word to use. I wish same can be said for those who use slang word in my language. You hear kids saying stuff like you mentioned "orobokibo" "jeun soke" etc without knowing the proper word as they grew up learning bastardised version of yoruba and end up speaking more jargon that are grammatically wrong in yoruba. |
Meli clismas kobo o. Good luck getting some ounce of common sense or logic out of him. It is simple, you see anything that get a one up on the west, usa etc is good in his books regardless of how wrong it is. |
