In proper country, where everything is the way it is supposed to be, an Autopsy will be done regardless of religion. A death certificate have to be issued by a State pathology and the body need to be seen and examined so that there is a satisfaction that no foul play is involved.

But then, in a lawless nation where people who share your mentality are in the majority, I guess we will never move forward.

Why should an autopsy be done?

Births are not properly recorded in Nigeria. Every hospital have different type of birth certificate that are no even worth the paper they are written on. So why should death be an issue?

The point I am making is that we are victims of our own failure. We do not have any form of centralised and unified data system, we do not have some basic amenities in place that will serve as foundation and stepping stone to bigger things.

For example, if the hospitals in Nigeria are properly equipped, why will there be a need to fly him out? But when we have a weak educational system that is making so called "graduates" and doctors trained in poorly equipped teaching hospitals, how are we meant to cope?

As my people say, the country we no get law, sin no dey there. Simple. If we do not have a culture of enforcing certain rules and principle, we should not be moaning when we expect such principle to be used in an incident. Autopsy is not something that is routinely carried out in Nigeria nor do we have a history of doing so, why should Yardua's be any different?

If we live in a society where "Muslim rites" over takes that of common sense like that OP is suggesting, why should Yardua's death bring about a change in that? Omo mehn, we are victims of our own failures.

There is nothing wrong with eating indomine straight from the pack.

It is nothing but a processed and pre-cooked food. There is nothing in the manufacturing process it that will suggest it is bad if eaten uncooked. If memory serves me right, there used to be a print on the pack, that suggest it can be eaten as "snack".

On the other hand, because most of us eat it cooked and what not, it may take a while for the body to get used to it if eaten uncooked hence why some may have a bit of tummy rumbling and what not.

I am not a nutritionist, but I am sure the bulk of the stuff used in the ingredient are eatable as raw anyway. But then, that is my opinion.
