Are we still on this topic of Igbos "wanting to" leave this country? I thought they had left already. What are they waiting for? Oh Yes! They are waiting for their Fulani master, Buhari to grant them freedom. |
Respect55:That's exactly where the problem is, isn't it? You are equating God to material creatures. We have always existed in TIME and SPACE. That is the only realm we can remember. That's why whenever we think about the concept of God, we always think in terms which we understand, TIME and SPACE. Yet, God who created time and space is himself outside of time and space. Lemme give you an example to show you that time is an illusion. (I Hope your imaginative powers are quite strong) Imagine yourself floating off to space from the earth. Then you're in space floating and looking at the earth rotate and revolve around the sun. For you in space, there's no sunrise or sundown. Everywhere is dark and you can see the earth's movement and not be affected by it. There's no way for you to know what time it is because your wristwatch would be useless and the sun is stationary from where you're observing it. So no sunrise or sunset where you are. Now If you can't imagine that, it will be even difficult to explain that space as we know it is a construct of our minds. Our manas mind. I Hope haven't lost you yet. |
adepeter26:You probably didn't read my response. The answer is nobody. It is a very simple answer But one that is complicated for atheists. |
Respect55:And it's a question that keeps on repeating ad infinitum. If you ask, who created matter, what would you say? Somebody created matter. If you say the big bang, what banged? And who made whatever bang, bang? So next you ask who created the person who made the big bang, bang? Whoever created that person must have been created by someone. Who created that someone? Ad infinitum. So, there must be someone who has always existed, who wasn't created and there was a time he never was, He indeed created everything that exists. Do you honestly look at yourself and think that you are a product of accidental creation? It's just like saying that a whirlwind swept through a scrap yard and assembled a Ferrari! ![]() |
Respect55:No it's not contradictory. That you don't know God fully doesn't mean you can't know a little about him. There are aspects, revealed to man That we know about him. He is a Mystery who's depth can not be fathomed by even the most brilliant of created mind, human or angelic. The day you know your Creator fully is the day you become his equal. Proof of his existence is buried in our own existence. There was a time there was nothing, yet God existed even then. Otherwise, you'd ask, who started everything off anyway. |
RealSleek:You're right it won't happen until Ngeria breaks. And there'll Probably be a fight to claim Ologun. But I'm 100% sure the people know where they belong. |
Nobody created God. He always was, he always is and he always will be. He has no beginning, neither will he have an end. The concept of time and space is only peculiar to this realm of existence. And that's all we know, so it's quite difficult to grasp the concept of God and spirituality. |
ScepticalPyrrho:Who do we blame? So for lack for someone to blame you decide to blame God? Why don't you blame your leaders who propagate war in the first place, or your leaders who embezzle funds, or yourself who lots of times would see good But decide to do evil. Why should God be blamed? Would you prefer he keeps stepping forward and taking back the gift of freewill he has given to us whenever we are about to satisfy our selfish instincts? God is not to blame for the problems and sufferings of the world, not even the devil is, man is. |
Suffering is as a result of sin. QED! I agree in totality with the OP, But there's much more to it than stated. Whatever suffering each one of us passed through in this life is meant to purify us from ego and make us humble. Sometimes, or most times, our sufferings are as a result of karma, punishment due to sins of a previous life which is meant to purify us. Also, when we aspire for something and we keep falling short, it's because there's a lesson we are meant to learn at that stage in life and we can't proceed until we learn that lesson. Our journey in this world is a journey towards perfection as Jesus Christ himself said, be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect. Reincarnating many times helps us to move towards achieving perfection. But If after several subsequent reincarnations you keep moving lower and lower into abyss, you get worse in a next incarnation than you were in the immediate past life, then eventually you slip into the realm of total annihilation and separation from God. And that is hell. Nobody knows which level they are in. You just have to keep struggling to be good and to "do unto others as you want done to you", which is the central theme running through all of Christ's teachings. |
Oh, there's God alright. You'd have to operate on a different level of foolishness not to believe in God. But to think that you need one pastor to be able to get to God is belong stupid. I just shake my head for all these my-pastor-my-daddy Nigerians. By the time you die, you'll realise that God was within you the whole time and all you needed to do was to go within. |

Well OP, you're partially right. The Fulani was only able to take Ilorin because of the prolonged civil war among Yorubas. That divided them and weakened them as Well. The Afonja turned to the Fulanis for help in defeating his brothers. They killed him, took over his throne and started advancing South with the intent of conquering the Yorubas . The Ibadan warriors gave them a resounding defeat and sent them packing. Throughout history, the Fulanis are a very proud people and they believe they are a superior race. This has caused all manner of problems for th's Nigerian state. When they say power must return to the North, they invariably mean power must return to the Fulanis. Yar'Adua was Fulani, Buhari is Fulani. Get my drift? The Hausas are just a willing tool in their hands. |
RichYoungNigga:The greatest scam in living memory so far is the propaganda that 3million Biafrans were killed during the civil war and that any Biafran was starved to death. |

Awww so nice and touching. I'll ignore the "it's a scam" crew. Trying to make them to see the illogicality of their position is like trying to chase a dog from eating faeces. Some Nairalanders love feeding on faecal matter. |
babyme1:Oh my my. Sorry dear. I hate seeing such. First, you need to pull yourself together. Your mom is not going to die. You need to tell yourself that. Now,.you and your siblings should look for other medical opinion outside of your state or region. Let other doctors have a look at her. It's going to cost you money, But she's your mom and God will provide the money you need. Wipe your tears dear, she's going to be Fine. I need you to trust me on that. In the meanwhile, Let her take lots If water, fruits and vegetables. She can take a strong analgesic like co-codamol. It has codeine and will help her sleep. If you are Catholic, praying the Rosary soothes the mind. All the best dear. |
Nice one. Even though I didn't have someone to tell me all this when I was heading off to bukuru camp, I can't say I turned out badly at all. God's grace. Great advice for corp members though. |
Ngokafor:Have a great weekend. |
DamiBukola:Chisos!!! How old are you? E gba wa o. A ti keran m'ero. |
