That was how they said a priest was killed by Fulani herdsmen and then his money was withdrawn from the bank.

Blaming all crimes on Fulani herdsmen just won't do.

I think some criminals are hiding under the cloak of Fulani herdsmen to perpetrate evil.

Stupid idiot of a VC. When you design and construct a bridge, you make allowance for people standing on it.

It's just like saying an overhead bridge was designed for people to just pass quickly. What a load of garbage.

If the VC can be this dumb, I wonder what the lecturers are teaching the students in that school.

Beautiful, which one is Sanwo-Olu's wife? Don't worry, i can see that Hamzat's wife is already looking like Hamzat himself. She's the one on the left.
It should be easy to detect that. Just look for the one with the closest resemblance to Sanwo-olu.

Hello pals.

Please i need your honest and sincere advice advice please and i will be very happy if you help me out of this silent desire of mine. i attend a church with this woman. She is a lecturer and a widow. She lost her husband some years back and she has two beautiful children a girl and a boy. since i started worshiping in this church my desire is always towards her most of the time i will be staring at her she knows am always do that.

Sometime she will lock her eyes with mine she is older than me a Phd holder and working in a federal university. Please it seems i like this woman. but i don;t want to mess up myself and get disgraced. So please how do get my intention known to her, i asked the Pastor about the pastor said she is free and seriously needs a companion but my pastor is not someone to discuses the intention with from my observation he is not good in that aspect.

So please my fellow nairalander help me out please i am dying in silence, i am not married but i have kids from a woman that has remarried she left when i have nothing then. I am of age too but not as old as her Honest advice please
you approach her like you would approach any other woman except that this time you have to show yourself as a serious and responsible person who wants marriage and not a time waster. She's already been in one marriage, so the last thing she wants is a dubious, time wasting, egocentric man who just wants t have sex with her. She has two kids, she doesn't need another man-child to add to her problems.

also show that you would really love to have her kids in your life. but first, ask her out to the movies or something. the worst is she'll say "no, i'm not interested", and the best she'll say is "yes, i'd love to". Prepare your mind for the two outcomes.

All the best.

Hahahaha. grin Irrespective of the problems outlined, was life really better during the era of our forebear? I think this is a subject for debate in secondary schools. You speak of family values and moral values being eroded due to the advent of TV, phones and gadgets, but poor value system has been a general problem like since the world began. There were lot of barbaric and inhumane practices that people with moral values don't engage in now that your forebears were advocate of. Take for example, the killing of twins, female circumcision, underage marriage practices, human sacrifices, etc.

The inventions you mentioned have in one way or the other made life easier for you that you could even earn money in the comfort of your home with a mobile phone.

Seems you'd prefer the dark age to this age of artificial intelligence. grin Regardless, that statement "Port Harcourt lives on past glory" still doesn't add up here.

Abeg, I am not here to argue on the negative/positive effects of technology. grin

I have always respected Sowore despite the smear campaign.

He has proven himself time and again that he's worth fighting beside.

Whenever I read the comments of Nigeria's clueless and semi-literate youths who are yet to know the meaning of life, I develop goosebumps.

Some here are bent on making everything about their lives ethnocentric. Their brain cells have fossilized and no new information can enter. Programmed robots are way more useful than them.

Seems the Yorubas have a standing army to repel the first major attack from the Fulani.

We are playing with fire in Nigeria.

I am prepared to pick up arms against the Fulani herdsmen in an all out war and I'm sure several others are also prepared in the case of war.

We only hope there won't be need for it. But with Buhari at the helm of affairs, I wouldn't bet on it.

I don't get you. with modern technology and innovation, value has rather increased than decrease. Perhaps, you meant increase in crime rate.
That's what people think. That with an increase in technology the value of lives has improved. But has it, really? Do people live longer than our forebears these days?

The rate at which people die of cancer is almost reaching a global epidemic status. Today there's hardly someone who doesn't know someone who has cancer or has died of cancer.

Humans shove processed food into their bodies with careless abandon.

Family values and moral values have all but disappeared due to the advent of TVs, mobile phone and other electronic gadgets.

Scientists would rather build a rover vehicle that will explore space for water than build a system that transport water from areas where it is available to areas where people don't have access to clean water.

Scientists are more willing to build sex dolls than politicians are willing to protect traditional family values.

Back to the original idea. Looking around you, do you think Nigerians have used science and technology to deal with waste and it's proper disposal by recycling recyclable wastes?

Has science and technology made Nigerian cities more livable and friendlier to human living?

I think not.

Previously, there weren't so many people, hence fewer wastes. Today, you can see the result of modern times yourself.

if the state "is he not Igbo?Igbo Amaka " made you to vomit that dumb statement that the guy is more of yoruba than igbo bcoz he stays in Lagos Nigeria, it shogroupws u have a complex problem. the statement on its own did not attack any ethnic group it rather extolled the programmer's ethnic group. it that what u call bigotry? if indeed ur a community leader then it must be a community of fools. As for ur amadioha and agwu , I live above those powerless things. Nitwit. less I forget, what is the name of ur community?
And what has his ethnic grouping got to do with his achievements though?

There are geniuses and dumb folks from every part of the world.

I just laugh when someone posts some other person's achievement here and y'all rush to see if it's afonja or Igbo. It is very childish.

Shows that you need to prop up your ethnicity, which probably doesn't need it. And this goes for all the ethnic groups represented here.

If there's any particular ethnic group that should brag the most, it should be the middle Eastern Jews. (Note the phrase Middle Eastern).

The number of Nobel prize awardees from that region in terms of science and technology is simply crazy.

Yes. Same with other major cities in Nigeria.

Thank you....that's if you're not deliberately defending either the govt or the power companies.

We however cannot continue to exist on excuses for failures when they come begging for your votes to clinch same office they've proved themselves unworthy of occupying. And I honestly disagree there's absolutely nothing a determined state govt can do about anything that affects its indigenes' livelihood. I beg to differ on that.
Besides I only mentioned electricity... Let's not even go near decaying infrastructures in all ramifications, nepotism has even taken over the order of the day.

We'll surely survive and have something to remember your regime for. Keep deceiving yourself that you're untouchable! We're watching and posterity will surely judge all of you.

These parties don't even know how to choose candidates. Spits*
Don't mistake me for a political supporter. I detest the whole lot of them. As far as I'm concerned they should all be shipped off to Siberia on exile.

Nigeria is in a comatose because they are benefiting from the rubbles that is now the Nigerian state.

Of 200 million Nigerians, we keep throwing up the most incapable people to rule over us.

Other African countries have waited long enough for Nigeria to provide the leadership being the giant of Africa, but now they are no longer waiting. They are forging their own paths themselves and doing admirably well.

Soon Nigeria will become a ghost country where no one wants to live in. And all because of useless politicians and even more useless populace who keep on being docile.

What is the meaning of Sowore in yoruba?

So Ijaws don't bear Igbo first names in Rivers state? Does that make them Igbo

Even Jonathan's first name is Azikiwe.

Or do some Edos don't bear Yoruba first name again? i.e Toyin Ayimaku, Bose the mother of Bunner boy? etc
Sowore - se owo re. That's the break down.

You don't realise how close Yoruba and Edo or Benin people are. Benin- Ile ibinu.
