You are in Nigeria bro. You cannot be in this country and say you want to be the only sane one. They will use propaganda drive you out of existence and attack your self worth.

You won’t understand my perspective.
I absolutely understand your perspective. They've been doing this for a long time and the result is still the same.
If slavery and colonization couldn't stop or eclipse what we stand for how much more a group of people who only see us as competition?
All we need to do is to keep winning. It's actually a good thing that they have us to look up to.

All those showbiz guys ask different questions, it’s left to the person answering to just ignore or answer.

By the way, Fave real name is Childozie Ugochinyere and the only correct answer to that question anywhere in the world is “Yoruba”.

So, she said the truth. Do you have a different answer?
We absolutely don't need to become petty and dwell on little things just because the other side are doing it. A tiger doesn't proclaim it's tigritude like the old man said.
If others want to do that let them do it. I've seen several brain dead internet posts comparing Yoruba this, Yoruba that with their own. For what purpose?
Fashion › Re: The Best Dressed Ethnic Group In Nigeria Are The Yoruba — Artist Fave by ElSudani: 2:39pm On Nov 14, 2025
What is purpose of asking dumb questions like this? Is there a fashion competition going on?

Tinubu and so many other voluminous corrupt politicians in Nigeria have made it impossible.
No, the military destroyed Nigeria cheered on by ignorant citizens many of whom we thought had died off, little did we realize they've given birth to a new generation of even more ignorant children. Many of them are now on the internet today cheering on impunity and disregard to civil authority.

So it's now that you're realising that this hell hole of a country will never work? grin
It can never work, not with rulers like TUluMbU and Wike.
Not with ignorant citizens who are cheering on illegality because they don't like some the characters involved.

During the media parley, Wike said when Obasanjo got the memo, he put a call through to him to resolve his land issue in the FCT, ditto General TY Danjuma. These are former President, former Chief of Army Staff and former minister of defense respectively, yet they went through the appropriate channel without resorting to abusing their military privileges not resorting to physically assaulting officials of Government who are discharging their duties. Much less a retired chief of Naval staff who is less ranked feeling above the law. And even more unfortunate is the fact that some military chiefs giving the impression that being a uniformed man automatically places you above the law. That is the lingering mentality of colonialism which we must dismantle.

-Kiss the truth!
We still have a long way to go in Nigeria.

To say Nigeria is dysfunctional is an understatement. Ignorant citizens are also defending madness because they don't like the minister or for whatever reason.
I am beginning to think the country will never work.

what a stupid ignorant tyranical remark.

Is it the duty or responsibility of the military to investigate land or civil dispute?

I'm bothered by the kind of incompetent minds running this country
We are beginning to see why they couldn't defeat the rag tag boko haram for almost 15 years.
Many of these so called generals attended schools abroad, I don't know what they were taught there.
It's unbelievable the level of impunity even under a civilian government.

Infact formerly you can hardly spot two Army men standing together cos once uniform dey dere body, they can do and undo
So, soldiers are not trained to obey the constitution?
When you are all done lying to yourselves you will be forced to face the consequences of the absurdities you are supporting in the name defending your narrow interests.

He should because wike will eventually put your president into deep water, trouble, If care is not taken. He thinks everything is by gra gra. This is not political terrain, even your president and any president tread carefully within the military, you don't provoke them like you do to civilian without any action. Your president just survived a coup, another one may consume his life if care is not taken. You think everything is joke or politics, mind you, you can't get away with somethings in this life all the time
Provoke the military? By enforcing the law? You just assume everyone in the military is ok with impunity. What is the legacy of those who planned the previous coups?
People who think like you are their legacy.
Soldiers who terrorize civilians are their legacy.
Ex naval officers picking a fight with a serving minister is their legacy.
Nepotism, corruption and gross mismanagement of our country.
Go on YouTube and look at the video of Tafawa Balewa's official visit to the US and compare it with how they treat us today, that is their legacy.

meanwhile you can find the functions of the attached personnel below and see if you are not ignorant
I don't see where it says they are above the law. You are the ignorant one here for conflicting protection of property with preventing a minister from doing his job.
Who owns the land, is it the FG as represented by Wike or the retired officer?

MrDoGood:
You really don't understand how the military 🪖 system works. Even if I explain to you a billion times, you might still not get it.

The FCT Minister reports directly to the President, just like all other ministers.

But unlike other ministers, he controls a whole territory (Abuja). managing land, security coordination, infrastructure, and administration.

So, the Minister of FCT = Governor of Abuja (because Abuja has no elected governor).

If you compare by influence and respect:

The FCT Minister is roughly equivalent to a Lieutenant General in status. similar to a state governor.

However, just like a governor, he cannot command the military directly. Any military order must come from the President (Commander-in-Chief) or a higher ranked officer. You saw a video where wike called the CDS and gave the officer the phone. The CDS knows the officer is following an order! And you can't break chain of order
In a billion times yet you don't get the simple logic that a retired officer cannot give orders to serving officers especially in cases involving the government.
Is it part of your highly classified information about how the military works that a retired officer will command a serving junior officer to defy the government?
Isn't that treason?

Is threatening a military officer Mr Wike lawful duty? Wike acted on behalf of c-in-c as you claimed but you fail to realise that the officer designated to protect Ex CNS too acted on behalf of c-in-c constitutionally.
The officer was nowhere near his official duties. We don't pay him to be a security guard. He wasn't protecting anyone, he was protecting a piece of land.

Are you not aware that retired chiefs are given personnel for life?

Can he not deploy that same personnel to go and see what is going on with his property?

What is wrong with some of you?
So the personnel assigned to them are not meant for specific duties and they are meant to be their personal police to guard their properties and even defy a serving minister?
What is wrong with many of you? Do you even know your rights as a citizen?

The Military has sacrificed more for the freedom the country enjoy today, than the entity called Wike and you put together.
Wike was acting on behalf of the president doing a job that has nothing to do with the military.
The president is the commander in chief of the armed forces. You can go to court and plead your case but if you act against the minister while he is performing his lawful duties you are basically acting the president and there are consequences to that.

Some Nigerians are so mentally brutalized by military rule so much that they see military officers as demi gods who are above the law and can get away with anything.

Many Nigerians died for the freedom we have today, we should protect it jealously. Military members are bound by law as well.

This is where a lot of people are missing the point. Wike is serving at the pleasure of the president. If you stop him from doing his job you are basically disobeying the president.
All the soldiers involved in this illegal security work should be dismissed immediately.

Sarsaparilla524:
If the lieutenant's last order came from a vice admiral ,a 3 star general in the navy and a senior colleague to the present CDS, no army chief currently can overrule it. The only person who can overrule his last order is President Ahmed Bola Tinubu who is the commander in chief of the armed forces.

The lieutenant go bounce even the vice principal and senate president join.

This is not the time to infuriate the men in khakhi.
Wike should tread carefully and totally avoid them.
He was uncouth by calling the lieutenant a fool,by extension the military and everything it embodies alongside the nation
Tinubu must replace him if reelected .
And Wike is technically serving on the orders of the President. What happened today was then a rebellion and all the soldiers there should be dismissed from the service.
There's a reason the police are mandated to handle civil law keeping while the army defend the territorial integrity of the country.
The soldiers had no business doing private security work.
