Brendaniel: Hiked and the leaders were blamed, so why should Tinubu be exempted ? Agreed and that is why I said it wasn't about Tinubu specifically. This happens all the time whenever there's an opportunity to do so. |

Brendaniel:
People just hated Tinubu after he was sworn in and started hiking price, just like how people just loved Yaradua and started lowering price after he was sworn in?
Continue deceiving yourself Right, and what about those periods when neither Tinubu nor Yar'Adua was president? Prices were never hiked? |

DeepSight: Its interesting that you are silent about the contract being awarded to someone convicted of fraud in two countries and the fact that procurement processes were not followed - and I should add that the funds were not appropriated as required by law. Those points are moot since the project is already ongoing. The only reasonable option you have to stop it and make sure it is not completed is if you can get a court injunction based on the evidence of corruption at your disposal. That I cannot argue with. |
Politics › Re: 30km Done — Just 720km To Go. Tinubu: The Initiator And Actualizer! by ElSudani: 2:29pm On Jun 02, 2025 |
DeepSight: By antecedents, I refer to their corruption and guile.
The significant towns are all reachable by road currently, I dont know if you are referring to every last hamlet. Let us assume they are corrupt like you said but there's no record of any project they started and then abandoned midway. Therefore, there's no valid reason to believe this road will not be completed in 50 years like you said. The significant towns are all reachable by road currently. You should ask the people in the coastal states. |
Politics › Re: 30km Done — Just 720km To Go. Tinubu: The Initiator And Actualizer! by ElSudani: 2:06pm On Jun 02, 2025 |
DeepSight: It is still public by whatever measure, even if there is an alleged component of private investment. Mind you N1 Trillion of Public funds have been paid upfront - and the so-called private component will probably be a ruse, going by the antecedents of the contractor and his partner in crime, the president.
Because there are already existing roads to all of those places. What are these antecedents? What are the projects they abandoned midway? "Because there are already existing roads to all of those places."This is not a valid argument at all, it is impossible to have one road connecting everywhere. |
Politics › Re: 30km Done — Just 720km To Go. Tinubu: The Initiator And Actualizer! by ElSudani: 1:47pm On Jun 02, 2025 |
DeepSight: The Dangote Refinery was a private project, this road is public. The Dangote Refinery was handled by proper contractors, this road was awarded to a convict in two countries - Gilbert Chagoury, convicted in the USA and Switzerland for fraud. The Dangote Refinery was necessary, this road is completely unnecessary. The Dangote Refinery went through all regulatory and compliance processes, this road was awarded without reference to Public Procurement Guidelines. The Dangote Refinery has no conflict of interest, this road is riddled in nepotistic corruption. The road is not 100% public my friend. Get your facts right. A road connecting several states is not necessary! By what reason sir? |
Politics › Re: Tinubu’s Aide Blames Nigerians For Hiking Prices To Make Govt ‘look Bad' by ElSudani: 1:46pm On Jun 02, 2025 |
Actually, the hiking has nothing to do with Tinubu. Nigerians will use any opportunity to hike prices. Returning to your base after Christmas becomes a problem because commercial drivers will increase fare. War in Iraq and garri sellers will increase prices, this is just the way it works in Nigeria. They didn't do it to make Tinubu look bad. |
Politics › Re: 30km Done — Just 720km To Go. Tinubu: The Initiator And Actualizer! by ElSudani: 1:38pm On Jun 02, 2025 |
DeepSight: Can you not do basic math? If it takes 2 years to do 4%, dont you realize that you are looking at fifty years to complete the project? Just like some of you said the Dangote refinery will not be completed in 40 years. This road is obviously going to be completed before the second term of the president. The terrain is difficult but some sections are going to be faster than others. |

IGBOPROMISE1: You would be doing your children an even bigger favour if you can put similar energy into ensuring they live in a separate country from those you feel are not ‘good enough’ to marry from!
If your sentiment is the overwhelming sentiment of the generality of your kinsfolk, then it means they’re hypocrites and two-faced because they’re still championing ‘one Nigeria’ and sharing from the oyel and gas of others! What has one Nigeria got to do with it? There are 250 others to choose from, what if I prefer tribe A over B or Y over I? Is it by decree that my children must marry from a certain tribe simply because we are in the same country? |

Brendaniel: When you want to know that both Tinubu and the people supporting him are not normal, just imagine a president commissioning a bridge like 3rd mainland bridge when he has only completed 4% of the bridge If the 4% is useful it can be commissioned. Perhaps for people who may want to jump off it out of hatred. A road and a bridge are not the same even when both require construction. |

There are things to be said, but I am just to tired to say it.
Russia has fought and is fighting an enemy that is very deceptive, very disingenuous, and very snakelike. That enemy is the collective west who are using Ukraine as a proxy.
I will be a realist and admit, Russia will not be able to win. Not because they don't have the ability, but because they don't have the will.
A lot of things that Ukraine has done, if 1% of it was done against the USA, nuclear bombs will have been released a long time ago. I guess the scales are falling off gradually. We told you from the onset that this is a war Russia will not win. You all kept on shouting superpower, mother Russia, grandmother Russia. |

We can see how they always come all out to defend Tinubu even when they know he is incompetent
Wole Soyinka who has always been very active in criticizing Presidents outside his tribe is suddenly a sucker for 30km of 750km proposed coastal road(4% of the total road) It is evil for a Yoruba to say he will encourage his children to marry Yoruba? How is this anything to do with you? surgical: you are just a blind supporter ,who can even support Satan if he were to be on earth No value just support anything in power How is the decision, that of a visionary, a visionary would have weighed the pro and cons of a decision and take decision in the best interest of the people but this decision is not meant to achieve anything and it will not achieve He is just punishing Nigerians for being foolish enough to make him president What is he going to achieve to the benefits of the people when he removed subsidy and increased all prices, which brought increased revenue to government, which is the intention anyway but What he did with is at variance with your submission, he invested the pain of the people on austentatious spending like buying yacht, limousines, bogus airplane and pampering of the elites and othe wasteful expenditures These will not be the focus of a visionary leader, personal agrandisment That's why bwala said give him 30 years he won't achieve anything Satan! The use of hyperbole and silly exaggerations is the reason why Nigerians are not taking the so called opposition seriously. Tell us what you could have done differently, tell us what you want to do and back it up with your records either in public or private sector. All these exaggerations aimed at tarnishing the image of the current administration is not working, seriously. |

AMINDA: Touché. Beyond all the false sense of magnanimity, one can easily tell that Tinubu has a very fragile ego. You can only work with him if you agree to bend the knee, wear the infinity logo cap and sing "on your mandate we shall stand". Even that is not good enough because he would throw you under the bus to preserve his own interests. Shettima and Gbajabiamila would be the next victims. This is why he cannot work with strong and highly opinionated individuals like Elrufai. He feels threatened by their strong presence.
It's not a coincidence that he changed deputies three times in 8 years as governor of Lagos, clashed with Fashola, clashed with Ambode and now attempting to clash with Sanwo-olu. The low self esteem is palpable.
The Yoruba race are labelling all their contemporary technocrats like Fashola, Osinbajo, etc. "betrayers" in favour of an Octogenarian who is fast reaching the end of his shelf-life politically. Pathetic! Kwankwaso contested against Buhari and even decamped multiple times but he still remains regarded as a leader in the North even by Buhari himself. Yoruba race? So, the Yoruba had a meeting where they told you all these things? |

I feel that we take the easy way out when we just blame whoever is at the helms of affairs. The way we are going, we may never get any leader that we will celebrate as successful until after they leave office. Think about it, most of the challenges bedeviling us in Nigeria present opportunities to any creative mind; from food to security etc.
It just seems to be that we probably need to be more responsible. God bless you. |
