He may likely play as a midfielder, behind Mateta.
That will be great.

“Understand a fee of around €20m is being finalised.🦅”

@BenJacobs
I see him fitting in the Palace team seamlessly if they play him as a midfielder.

This has gotta be the most uneventful, uninteresting, and uninspiring transfer window involving Nigerians in recent time.

Walahi, that week he ran riot against Tottenham was the same week people were trending the narratives that he wouldn't perform in the Premier League. He scored three goals in 9 minutes against them, with one disallowed 😂

Sofascore still showed he missed 4 big chances, which in truth were great goalkeeper saves. He say he been dey vex after the match say he no score 5 😂
That's lad is built differently.

Monster mentality he's got.

🤑 Osimhen will receive a net wage of €15m plus a €1m loyalty bonus and €5m for his image rights. 🇳🇬

That's €15m base salary + €6m bonus = €21m... Now, that's what he's worth!
Funny thing is, Napoli had 100% of Osimhen's image rights.

They'd have gotten more than the $75M Galatasaray paid, if they had accepted PSG's offer a year prior.

Nonsense and Tinubu. grin

Ajax has informed Chuba Akpom that his services are no longer needed. Akpom got this information via a WhatsApp chat along with six other players.

As long as they are still under contract in Amsterdam, they are "no longer welcome" on the club premises during professional team activities, according to De Telegraaf.
Ajax has become an unfavorable place for our lads in recent times.

Bassey then, Akpom now.

Hopefully, he finds his footing elsewhere.

Honestly, I can't understand why Osimhen is stubbornly refusing to take a small pay cut and play for the big European clubs. It's not like he won't still go to Saudi when he reaches 30. It's not like he will be earning peanuts in Europe. Why not cement your legacy and go for the dough later?

Well, poor man no dey advice rich man for Naija.
Mention the European clubs that are serious about getting his signature.

Ofcos it wont affect his Super Eagles performances. Osimhen will always be Osimhen... but as long as he leaves Europe for Saudi in his prime then he can kiss goodbye to his Iron-clad world class legacy. It wont stand in the land of Bin Salman.

All Osimhen will have is the NT and I will always support our Number 1 striker no matter what. Even when I disagree with a decision.

Financially, yes... 45M euros (40M + 5M bonuses per year) is insane to turn down.

Footballically, yes... turning your back on a chance to cement your world class legacy/name and take your game to the stratospheric level on the highest stages of football is also insane.

In the end, it is his life. My only concern here is the Super Eagles. But I must bear my mind as one who is an advocate for ambition and legacy over money alone. I would be betraying my mindset and principle if I say picking insane money over the chance to truly attain world class greatness (which also comes with money) is the right step in your prime years.

But IT IS WHAT IT IS. I dont agree if this happens but Osimhen will always have my support. EOD.
I support Osimhen 💯.

He wasn't greedy with his demands; match my current wages. Are these clubs trying to tell us that Napoli were nuts for paying him that?

Asking him to lower his wages at his prime is insulting, it shows he isn't valued enough.

I support his decision to go where he'll be valued regardless where that might be.

The Russians were a good test.

I loved how they progressed the ball and how compact they are while defending. But, they were too rough. Man!

Our boys did well. I like how Okoye has grown in confidence and presence at the back line. Ekong is slowly getting phased out, same with Ajayi. Osayi didn't have any support from Dele-bash at RB. uche's presence wasn't really felt until he left the pitch.

Boniface should never be played as a 9 again, and I'll love to see more of Tolu.

Good game, overall.

Okoye has very poor ball distribution
That's a minus we can tolerate.

I don't like how Nwabali puts his defense under pressure by attempting to being a ball-playing GK.

I like this Chelle's new list as it provides us with the opportunity to see what Onyedika and Uche can do together in the midfield.

Onyedika as DM, Uche as CM, Bashir as AM.

Frank Onyeka should be rested.
Really don't know why Dessers wasn't called for this.

Man! I know Akinsanmiro is of same style as Uche, but, I'll really like for him to be given a runout with the Eagles.

He's got what it takes to excel. He has the same trait I admired in Yaya Toure.

Dessers has scored 4 goals in 8 games (if you count the unofficial game against Algeria). Yet, Boniface has nothing to show for his superior number in appearance.

Una get time to dey debate Osimhen matter...

1 loan season and he became a LEGEND.

Highest scoring FOREIGNER
League highest goal scorer.
Turkish cup highest goal scorer.
Ranked no-1 (7.99) out of 267 players in The Super League.
Goals, Goals, Goals... All type of goals. Header, 1v1, wrestle with defender, acrobatic, flying nodding. 🤷🤷

Let nobody debate this guy again. Otilor.

A world 🌍 class striker is playing and making waves in the Turkish retirement league, are you satisfied with that 🤔

He needs to leave that league and compete with the best of the best and EXCELL consistently and continuously in a top league to be called world class.

What's the reality on the ground ❓ Premier league just talk nobody yet so far ( there is still time) Seria A and La Liga are not saying much, however there is still time.

Football is a short term career , there is no time to waist . However, if it's money 🤑 he wants alone then he should go to Saudi.
"No time to waist indeed."

Talking about how he needs to leave the retirement league and bla bla bla. As if you were oblivious of the circumstances that led him there in the 1st place.

I shouldn't be engaging people like you who feel they're better than everyone else but can't find the right words to express themselves. Shame!
