TheSuperNerd: Yeah. I trust if the lad is Grade 3 or Grade 4 MRI-cleared then we won't have that problem. It is lads who are grades 5 and 6 now that bring worry.
Oh! They're in grades.
However it is, it'd be great if he's able to show his talent on the global stage, he deserves it.
Icon4s: Congratulations to the Golden Eaglets. At least we have a crop of yougsters to follow their development.
That WAFU B U17 Competition is the toughest those boys can play cos the tournament is tougher than the group stages of the AFCON U17 and FIFA U17.
Thank God that CAF has developed sense by increasing the AFCON U17 to 12 teams and so two more slots were given to West Africa.
How more difficult can it be to battle for tickets against Ghana, Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso at U17 level. I still see this as injustice because Nigeria along side those three nations are typically good enough to fly Africa's flag at the FIFA U17 WC with even two of these teams playing in the semis and Final.
In 1985: it was Nigeria and Guinea playing each other in the semis.
1987: Nigeria and Ivory Coast got to the semis while Nigeria played in the final
1993: Nigeria and Ghana played the final
2001: Nigeria and Burkina Faso played against each other in the Semis
2007: Nigeria and Ghana in the Semis and Nigeria played in the final
2015: Nigeria and Mali played the final.
West Africa is no doubt the Power house of U17 football as the Cup has come our way a total of 7 times (Nigeria: 5 and Ghana: 2) yet those clowns in CAF are restricting us with this their useless WAFU A, WAFU B Zoning formula.
Once again congratulations to the boys because they have done well for their future not just for Nigeria. Meanwhile I still dey wait to see who go call these kids over aged.
Good evening house. I know it's been a while I posted here. Na activities here and there plus that useless WCQ heartbreak. I still dey vex
Good morning!
So, how many teams in total would qualify from Africa to the WC.
elyte89: I am not after d scoreline.. All I am after is aw we play...WC we played well,we possessed well. .b4 someone come here to say na weak team..let's remember a certain CAR NOT ONLY POSSESSED US BUT ALSO DEFEATED US IN LAGOS.
So I believe he really wants our team to knw aw dey can play with d ball wout losing it to d opponent
is it 2023 already?
You said, you weren't going to watch any of our games till next year.
That 3-5-2 formation is rubbish. The Mexicans practically used us a training cones throughout the 1st half. Things changed when we went back 4. There was more bite then.
Beating the high press from the Mexicans, I appreciate that we didn't have to resort to those aimless long balls, but, playing and dribbling out of tight spaces which was effective.
Our forwards didn't get much services, but kept on pressing, impressed by their work rate and also that of Iwobi, he was my man of the match. He was just everywhere.
Dessers deserves a shout for that thumping header. Hopefully, this makes him cement his place in the team.
TheGoodJoe: I need to add what I noticed watching Osimhen against Barcelona. The young hitman needs to change his playing style and adopt a different approach to the game. He takes a reactive kind of play, instead of a proactive one. Over and over again, Osimhen cut himself off from the team's play, expecting them to find him in space always. I get the manager wanted him to exploit the Highline of the Barcelona defense but, Barcelona had a plan of restricting the midfield from giving him service.
Osimhen (same with Iheanacho) needs to play in a different manner by going for the ball. If the team has the ball on the wing, they need to help build up plays through the wings which will draw opposing players to them and give room for them to exploit.
Dries Mertens replaced Osimhen and played it perfectly which lead to a chance. I expect Spaletti to work on that aspect of Osimhen and he can get more from the Nigerian hitman.
Below is a clip of Harry Kane doing this. Watch how many times he dropped deep, went to the wings to help build play.
One reason why Ebuehi is loved is his technicality, he takes the simple decisions, rarely makes things complicated for Myself and the team, positions himself well, tidy, fast and surprisingly rugged.
TheLoneCitizen: He actually did make some valid points. Dennis was an inconsistent player at the time he made that post.
He wouldn't buy a player who only turns up for big games. His performance against Madrid was a fluke, washing the lad down as though his efforts were nothing. Well, it's a good thing Watford FC never thought same else he'd still be at Belgium, while Danjuma who he was better than at club brugge would continue to get better deals.
The problem with Komekn is his short-sightedness. From the first time I watched Dennis At Ukraine with Zorya, I knew already that he was destined for bigger things. He was also taking in them numbers in Belgium.
