In a country that has frustrated the development of other states and poured half of the country's major assets(which help development) into one state, Lagos has the major and most efficient seaport, every other port is either too expensive or crippled, risky and shallow too, Lagos has the country's best cargo airport, most efficient and cheapest, these two factors alone will force companies and establishments to station their head offices in Lagos, traders and wholesalers will be stationed at Lagos too, new businesses, importers and exporters will base at Lagos too, simple Economics. Watch developed countries and check if their economic assets are stationed in one spot, they hardly have a major sea port because every seaport is working in same capacity as the other....I dare the government to fix all ports to full capacity, dredge the ones that needs dredging and give SE their own port, let's watch as every region step up their revenue generation and Una no go get this stupid view again.

Candidates from other region stepped down apart from Ekwueme who insisted, but even at that, his kingsmen and most party members already made up their mind to give the ticket to the region that deserved it, reason he lost...he was the only one that refused to step down.
