I have always been a long time admirer of Kloop style of play. Same with Guardiola. Not just the results but how they play. They believe in putting the ball on the ground and elaborate use of brain and not just strength which Mourinho is always tempted to go for at any slightest opportunity. It has been proven over the years that depending on brain is always better than strength.

Another thing is that Mourinho's team always have one problem or the other. Every team he goes to, he always have running battles with some of his players, the press, referee etc. From where am standing we don't need all these baggages especially that of the referee

And finally the teams he coaches always collapse just before he leaves or immediately he leaves. I wanted a system that could be maintained even after he's gone.

I hope with these few points of mine I have been able to convince and not to confuse you that Mourinho wasn't first choice for very important reasons.
