Nehruvia: Word on the street is that Eric Chelle is likely leaving before the AFCON Qualifiers. I've done my investigation and close sources are telling me that "you know who" are deeply unsatisfied with Eric Chelle's demands and have no intention to even negotiate, talk less of renewing his contract.
Of course take this with a grain of salt but right now I'm so livid.
cc Symphonyrad Nff don’t have a choice Dan to renew his contract…they have failed in all ramifications and the only bargaining chips Dey have to calm the Nigerian loving football fans nerve is to extend his contract .They dare not add to their woes of not qualifying for the World Cup If dem try rubbish with Eric chelle ,nobody in nff will survive the heat |

elyte89: If I were president, I would order the Super Eagles and everyone involved in the World Cup qualifiers to gather in a heavily secured conference room in Nigeria and watch every South Africa and DR Congo match ,the groups they could have been part of had they qualified. I’d make sure the disappointment really sinks in and suspend their holidays until both teams are eliminated from the tournament.
MUMU PLAYERS 🙄😏 They even deducted three points from this poor South African team, yet we still couldn’t right our wrongs. And no NFF member has lost his job for failing us. This is embarrassing. 🙈 |

We had no business missing the World Cup. If someone had told me two years ago that Nigeria wouldn’t be at the 2026 World Cup, I would have laughed and said they knew nothing. With 10 African teams qualifying, it’s unbelievable that Nigeria wil not be among them. That’s absurd. Those mumu players kept dropping points and settling for draws against so-called minnows, and now we’re paying the price. 😢🇳🇬 it’s so painful mehn |

Mk una leave Chukwueze alone, na same una go chop Madok raw with out salt and pepper if em no do well for super eagles team If not chukwueze inconsistencies ,I don’t c the hype around this zadok guy…chukwueze was far better and showed more potentials Dan him during his time, but na inconsistencies kill dt one progress |

zicky: that's the difference between us and this European countries. Leagues all over the world are on break, nothing bad asking him to join the boys even if he's not going to play, it won't cost anything. He mustn't be a Messi or Ronaldo. Europe countries are calling up very young players just to be in camp with the senior players, make them feel important and wanted. All that can happen in September..no need to rush the young man |

Why not play this match if he can secure a visa to wherever they are playing the match. Its still two days away. Settling down doesn’t only have to do with the club , what about d environment and all …abegi his presence dere or not won’t really change anything ,he’s not Messi or CR7 …the guys dere will do d job to their best ability. |

Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by elyte89: 11:16am On Jun 07 |
Danielnino00: To be fair, with regards to your second point, we can't entirely blame the NFF... The NFF doesn't own or control any pitch in Nigeria... They only make use of the ones available.. The real blame should be on the government through the National Sports Commission who have continued to neglect our national stadiums... It's shameful that we constantly have to depend on a state government owned stadium in Akwa Ibom to bail us out while leaving Federal Government owned stadiums in Abuja and Lagos in bad conditions..
Modified... The part I'll really blame the NFF on was their appointment of Finidi... Worst still, they allowed him turn the national team to an experiment ground for NPFL players during a crucial world cup qualifier... From the structure..NSC /NFf work together,Dey re like twins ..Dey need to come together and give us a 2 grade A STANDARD FOOTBALL PITCH with flood lights where we can host qualifiers by 6pm earliest ..I can bet it with u ,dt with a good playing surface under the right weather condition even if finishdi is the coach …I can say authoritatively that we would defeat any average African side at home …our poor home result in wcq since 2022 is our greatest undoing and if this pattern continues we would still struggle to qualify or might not even qualify but of course ,our nff don’t learn ..I av noticed this poor result home games since 2022 World Cup qualifiers.we need to change that pattern by addressing it ,if not we re not going to qualify for the 2030 World Cup even if pep guardiola is our coach |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by elyte89: 10:49am On Jun 07 |
Truidstarr: It's not NFF's fault. They did their best. I would say it’s 60percent nff’s fault …Dey couldn’t play the political side of the game(allowing South Africa to play us on a bad pitch ;coupled with allowing South Africa to host other countries games in our group in their home (ANY NORTH AFRICAN FA WOULD NEVA ALLOW SUCH) Number 2 …even our so called best pitch (to national stadium)🏟️ doesn’t have a smooth surface playing pitch for our European boys to excel well: we can’t compare the pitch we experienced in Morocco 🇲🇦 last afcon to uyo stadium. This number 2 issue needs to be fixed asap ,or else we might not qualify for the next World Cup ..this stadium issue also affected us in 2022 World Cup qualifiers..I have noticed the wcq result pattern (we hardly win at home due to point raised above) |

Goke7: So the players too don’t get injured when they play for their clubs? We will say the clubs are not managing them well too? Is it not injury playing for club that made osihmen miss some of our World Cup qualifiers?
This your point no enter as injury can occur playing for country or club. As the clubs protect their interests we too as a country has our interests to protect too. Atletico bought Lookman following a spectacular performance at the last Afcon. Dts y chelle is beefing up the team ,he doesn’t want anyone one to hold us “hostage”…if u Dey fine,if u no Dey,we Dey play on Most especially dt striking area ,If Deres no osimhen ,we re in trouble |
