Folks praising lookman aggravates my mood. Where was this Lookman form during the World Cup qualifiers. If it weren’t for Victor Osimhen Nigeria would never have made the playoffs let alone the World Cup . Anybody that watched him during the early qualifiers phase could see the lack of chemistry between lookman and Victor boniface. I could care less how a player performs in Europe. Mine is just do well for Nigeria whenever you are called up.
One of the major reasons we didn’t qualify…Lookman was off form almost all thru the qualifiers most especially the later stage ,no thanks to his former club

How did we miss out on olise. Such a good footballer. I remember when that guy was in QPR. The NFF should be very prompt and fast in doing things. Catch this guy's when they are still playing secondary school football before they blow. I watch the guy yesterday, I was flabagasted.
If not for inconsistency of chukwueze and d downfall of nacho career ,we no suppose Dey miss all dis guys

Club doctors have developed a protective suit for Osimhen's right arm. Made of carbon fiber, the suit is five times stronger than steel but as light as a feather. This will prevent Osimhen from being affected by blows to his arm. The suit will comply with FIFA and league rules. FIFA does not allow the use of devices that could injure opponents or players. Osimhen, who became a phenomenon with his iconic face mask, will transform into a true superhero with the suit on his arm. Coach Okan Buruk plans to field the star player in the starting eleven for the derby against Fenerbahçe, even if not for the Gençlerbirliği match.

Ok

I don't understand the issue of player scouting. We are discovering players in our football academies everyday. Ok yohanna zadik, Ebenezer akinsanmiro, suleiman Muhammed, benjamin fredericks, Moses usor et. As per foreign born, we cannot force them. The ones that want to okay for us will play for us. We can only ask. The lack of world cup qualification was due to the fact that we could not get a replacement on time after peseiro resigned.
Did you watch the Eritrea vs Eswatini qualifiers? Eswatini’s squad now includes players recruited from Denmark and other European clubs. It shows how countries are expanding their scouting networks globally to secure the best talent. Even top nations like France and England do the same so Nigeria should also embrace this approach to stay competitive.”

It’s that ego and pride that’s killing us. Countries like Morocco despite all they are achieving they keep scooping up talent from anywhere in the world even into their under age teams. We had better wake up before countries like Eritrea start becoming difficult to beat!

The Ivory Coast in this last Afcon was stronger than the one we met in 2023 just because of the addition of players like Amad Diallo who migrated to Italy at the age of eight!
National teams are now operating like club sides, with structured systems and extensive scouting networks to identify players who best fit their style of play. This is why many countries have strengthened their coaching staff, assigning specific roles such as player scouting to support the head coach. With this level of organization, African football is becoming increasingly competitive, especially in AFCON and World Cup qualifiers. The next round of qualifiers will be particularly tough. While other nations are advancing in scouting and recruitment, Nigeria is still debating whether to include foreign-born players.

Another Asian team is supposed to replace Iran in the event of them pulling out, but we know FIFA politics will probably give the slot to Italy...isn't that bald headed crook Gianni Infantino of Italian descent?
There’s no law in FIFA that states a team that withdraws from a World Cup competition must be replaced by another team from the same continent…hence my prayer den say make Italy 🇮🇹 and Denmark 🇩🇰 win deir playoffs ,FIFA can use deir discretion to replace the team from any continent.. and from rumors earlier I heard they are looking at the highest ranked team in FIFA ;wc happens to be Italy 🇮🇹
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by elyte89: 5:08am On Apr 02
Nigeria has now missed out on two consecutive World Cups (2022 and 2026). This is a serious setback, and if we are not deliberate and strategic moving forward, we risk missing out again in 2030.
To avoid repeating the same mistakes, we must begin preparations well ahead of the 2030 qualifiers, which start in March 2027. Two critical areas need urgent attention:
1. Stadium Infrastructure and Home Advantage
We must prioritize building or renovating at least two standard, world-class stadiums with top-quality facilities. These stadiums should meet international standards comparable to what we see in countries like Morocco.
Additionally, home matches should be scheduled for evening hours (6pm or later). This will give our player many of whom are based in Europea more familiar playing environment in terms of weather and pitch conditions, thereby maximizing our home advantage.
If achieving this within the required timeframe is not feasible, then the NFF should formally engage CAF or FIFA to approve an alternative home venue, such as Morocco, where we can benefit from better facilities and playing conditions. Recent qualifiers have shown that we perform better away from home than on poor pitches domestically this must be addressed decisively.
2. Professional and Independent Team Management Structure
We need to establish a competent and independent Super Eagles management team focused solely on off-field operations. This body should handle logistics, player welfare, match bonuses, travel arrangements, and overall coordination.
By removing administrative inefficiencies and ensuring timely execution of all operational matters, the team can focus fully on performance. This management unit should work directly with the government to ensure proper funding and accountability.
This is a call to action. Anyone with access to the NFF or relevant authorities should help ensure that these recommendations are heard and acted upon. The future of Nigerian football depends on intentional planning and decisive leadership.

The way dis countries clear players with ease ,sometimes make we wonder if our administrators are doing the right things…if we re to clear just one player , it will take years b4 it gets done while some African countries clears deir intended players with ease, so tey dr Congo invited players yet to be cleared and eventually got cleared a day to their match

SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by elyte89: 10:59am On Mar 28
A rumor suggests that the NFF is exploring an unlikely alternative route for the Super Eagles to qualify for the World Cup. The scenario estimated at around a 2% chance depends on teams like Italy, Denmark, and Turkey winning their playoffs to qualify directly, followed by Iran potentially withdrawing due to the ongoing war. In that case, it is speculated that FIFA could select the highest-ranked available team, possibly Nigeria, as a replacement, based on the assumption that there is no strict rule requiring a withdrawn team to be replaced by another from the same continent.

Yeh, who throw me stone 😩🥲🥲😢😢
