No coach will give you a good team with 2 days of training! International football is more about understanding one another not neccessarily calibre of players!
Boniface and Onuachu couldn't understand each other cos they had less than a day training. Who do we have on the bench? nobody!

See it above. Certainly not good enough.

I’m not against a foreign coach. But if u gonna get one get a proven one.

A proven one will cost us more …I doubt if nff can go for any coach dt will demand above $50k monthly

Conceicao is a $50k monthly coach

My brother, it matters o.

Even in our different professions, a talented undisciplined staff will not last long while a hard-working disciplined though untalented staff will go a long way in the industry.

Honestly, most of these players are not disciplined at all, they behave as if there is nothing at stake. If they don't qualify for world Cup, na them sabi, it's their CV that's is affected, not mine.

Our team is even much…discipline doesn’t exist in our team ..I pity d next coach sha

Coaching is not really the problem of the Eagles. The team has been on a downward spiral from the last days of Rohr and no coach has seemed to get it right.

The previous coach had a score of 2/6 in WCQ while Finidi finished with 1/6.

I don't expect any miracles from the next coach as the team is very low in confidence.

Meanwhile...

The new coach would need to be a bit strict and brutal ,

If I were to b d new coach,I will make sure all dis content creators we parade as players need to sit up or Dey re shipped out of d team; reduce / eliminate unnecessary interviews(camp rules will b tightened a bit)

Search for more dedicated players that re ready to spill deir last sweat on d pitch(we av so many players inching to be invited to showcase what Dey can offer)…presently we av too many comfortable, unprofessional and unproductive players in our team. That needs to stop 🛑 .

✋🏼 Italy manager Luciano Spalletti has decided five very strict rules to his squad 🤯🇮🇹

❌⏰ NO chance to be late at meetings.
❌📱 NO phones allowed during lunch or dinner.
❌🎧 NO headphones allowed, so no to isolation.
❌🤹🏼‍♂️ NO to excessive jokes between teammates.
❌🕹️ NO PlayStation in each room, only all together.

Yinmu,if he like,he shld say his players must not sleep all through the tournament,na him know

Strict rules doesn’t win 🏆 tournaments 🏟️.I don’t believe in such .I won’t be surprise if Dey exit d group stage sef 😊

We can only hope for best losers spot. Thank goodness, our group is made up of six teams. We stand a chance if we manage to garner at least 15 points

Never ,with a good coach and good team selection we shld be able to defeat

Rwanda 🇷🇼 (home and away) 6points

Benin 🇧🇯 at uyo (3points)

Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 at uyo (3points)

And Lesotho 🇱🇸 at a neutral venue (3points)

South Africa 🇿🇦 (we shld aim for a win also, but realistically this match might end up in a score draw)

So I am expecting 16points from d so called technocrats

If we can’t beat dis teams…we don’t deserve to be in World Cup , and we shld be considered as minnows in Africa 😎

The NFF never wanted Amunike. They know Amunike's capacity and know he will domwell if given the opportunity. They don't want it. They are more interested in the business that comes with a foreign coach.

It’s looking more like a premeditated move, more like employing finidi knowing fully well dt he might mess up to create a back strong claims for foreign coach .

I hope these "technocrats" at NFF understand that not every assistant coach morphs into a sound head coach. Any local coach hoping to coach the eagles should cut his teeth first as a head coach.

Frankly, sentiments aside, Amuneke was a better pick cos of his experience as a head coach. Sad seeing Finidi learn on the job to the detriment of the int'l careers of these players.

Bro we can still qualify for d World Cup…no fear

Well, the upcoming Afcon qualifiers might be what we need to get our world cup qualifiers up the scratch.

Let's forget about the world cup qualifiers for now and focus on the coming afcon qualifiers.

Winning our Afcon qualifiers will serve as a much needed shot in the arm for the team as it will boost their confidence and give them the belief that they can win again, something I feel is lacking at present.

Also, the Afcon qualifiers can be used to tweak the team to see what formulas and players work before the next WCQ in March next year.

Is d fixtures out for afcon qualifiers?when is it scheduled to hold, I mean the qualifiers?

Do you know what the phrase "miles ahead" means 😲

Then your dig yourself into a even deeper ditch with notion it's "been proven"

This being the case taking hold of your two notions mentioned above verbatim. Can you share , what unit of measurement you used to substantiate this notion please ❓

Okoye plays in Seria A for Udinese , using your description I could say is ," miles ahead" of the South African 🇿🇦 league, anybody disagree ❓

That's not still conclusive, who is better. The depth of difficulty in maintaining a clean sheet in Seria A is not the same in the South Africa league.

It's quite apparent that it's much more difficult in Seria A than SA league. Nwabili had 11 clean sheets and Okoye had 5. Who is better still not very conclusive.

Let's look at the public gallery or market place , clubs do a lot of analytics before buying a player sometimes over several years. Club transfer interest is an indicator of quality.

Who wants Nwabili several clubs in SA as well as in the Eredivisie and Championship specifically QPR and of course there is Saudi.

Okoye wanted by Roma and Inter Milan.

I think you show your lack of knowledge and youthful exuberance more sentiment than objectivity. Below Okoye YouTube clip's again not conclusive just indicative.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoWNtc4-Q1g?si=8D8IIua3PntZfBQq

Also below clips of Nwabili

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NdngI9KNuE?si=FVa6yYuRke48qWat

No sentiment, I am going to look difficulty of execution of league and my view would be that Okoye for now has the edge, it's not a huge margin.

On the other hand I believe Nwabili in a better league, better training facilities and coaches will improve and could find himself in the EPL in the near future.

Either way win win for Nigeria two quality goal keeper is a plus for the SE.

Na dere dem go c u😏😏😏

Meanwhile d only reason nwabali is playing ahead of Maduka is simply because he was part of the core team dt reached d finals of afcon,he rescued us when we were desperately looking for uzoho replacement ,

Sentiment wise,he shld continue to man d post but quality wise,I am not sure if he’s better dan d rejuvenated Maduka 😎

Turned out the NFF never really meant to hire Finidi but was rather done to spite the more qualified local coach Amunike hence, Finidi got the job without even sitting for any interview.

Omo if you have seen the level of cluelessness when this Finidi analyzes football before the camera ehn. Shame go catch you. Dem just set this man up to rubbish him before Nigerians. Finidi isn't even qualified to lead our U17 squad.

His major policies in 2024:

- Captain arms band must be worn by the most senior player because I worn it when I was the most senior player. That is the criteria and it doesn't matter if you have the qualities or not.

- Formation doesn't matter in football. Your players just have to know when to attack and when to defend, and that is all.

- There is no formula for winning, your players just have to know if it is time to attack or time to defend.

See a coache's mentality in 2024. God! Who do us this thing? grin grin

Your first paragraph might be true ,more like we won’t appoint u amunike despite ur pr …go and do ur worst

At d end of d day…when d ministry and nff meet…Dey might meet in d middle,by allowing amunike to be drafted to the technical team(but I don’t knw in what capacity) .
