lexyman: Jokes apart, if Maduka Okoye had consistently impressed in the Super Eagles jersey, the performances, statistics, and results would naturally speak in his favour. The evidence would be there for everyone to see. What we need is for our players to be at their very best when representing the national team. In goal, I want a true shot-stopper — a goalkeeper whose primary responsibility is preventing goals, not one judged by appearance or popularity. Okoye has shown quality with Udinese, and that deserves recognition. However, what fans want to see is that same confidence, authority, and reliability translated into the Super Eagles jersey. If I c anybody talk about this okoye fine boy matter again when we have a pending verdict with FIFA , u will be in trouble 😏😏😏 |

caprikon: FIFA's disciplinary committee must be at some crossroads coming to a final decision on the DR Congo case. There are precedents but it appears this case exposed some lacunas in their current statutes on Nationality switches...which might actually favour DRC. I foresee amendments to their statutes at the end of this case. But Dey shld be fast with deir decision |

The NFF raised a critical issue in their petition, questioning how DR Congo could call up players who had not yet been cleared by FIFA to participate in the World Cup qualifying matches. This raises serious concerns and could potentially constitute a significant breach of regulations.
First, how can a national team call up players who had not been officially cleared by FIFA at the time of their selection? Some of the players reportedly included in the squad list submitted on November 1st only received FIFA clearance just a day before the World Cup qualifying tournament began on November 16th. This timing raises questions about whether due process was followed when the squad was initially submitted.
Secondly, why was FECOFA so confident that the players who had not yet been cleared at the time of the call-up would eventually receive FIFA approval? Such confidence suggests that the federation may have anticipated or assumed clearance before it was formally granted, which undermines the integrity of the eligibility verification process.
These concerns deserve thorough scrutiny. If proven, the implications could extend beyond the current dispute involving Nigeria and potentially reveal a broader issue regarding compliance with FIFA’s player eligibility and clearance procedures. |

Napoleon55: I don't think any Nigeria football fan would really want us to lose the case if really there is any case, including Bluelf even Afobear.
Personally I don't think FIFA is going to rule on anything,I don't take NFF and Shehu Dikko serious on this matter, and so does FIFA .
What NFF should focus on is making sure we don't miss out on next edition, and returning our youth football back to how it used be. Ur second paragraph makes d whole write up a fallacy ..FIFA must answer to the petition, whether positive or negative; it’s prerogative on FIFA to answer their members (NFF and FECOFA) |
