FREQUENT MASTURBATION REWIRES YOUR BRAIN Yes, porn does affect our brains—and it’s not good. The cravings experienced by someone hooked on porn can be like the cravings of a drug addict. With repeated exposure to porn, the portion of the brain responsible for decision-making and willpower actually begins to shrink. The chemical pathways of the brain designed for sexual pleasure are rewired to seek out porn instead of real sex. So if you’ve ever felt like it’s hard to quit porn, there’s a good reason: it affects your brain! Let’s dig deeper into the science of porn use and the effects it has on the brain. What Happens When We Watch PORN? Your brain is an incredible biological computer, with billions of neurons processing countless bits of information, maneuvering your body, and shaping your emotions. It houses a whole pharmacy of chemicals, which work together to give you the experiences of pleasure, pain, and many other feelings. Your brain is also designed to adjust and adapt to different environments and stimuli. In The Porn Circuit, the various hormones and neurotransmitters involved when someone views porn and how each ingredient in this neuro-cocktail contributes to the problem: When having sex or watching porn, dopamine is released into a region of the brain responsible for emotion and learning, giving the viewer a sense of sharp focus and a sense of craving: “I have got to have this thing; this is what I need right now.” It supplies a great sense of pleasure. The next time the viewer gets the “itch” for more sexual pleasure, small packets of dopamine are released in the brain, telling the user: “Remember where you got your fix last time. Go there to get it.” Norepinephrine is also released, creating alertness and focus. It is the brain’s version of adrenaline. It tells the brain, “Something is about to happen, and we need to get ready for it.” Sex and porn also trigger the release of oxytocin and vasopressin. These hormones help to lay down the long-term memories for the cells. They “bind” a person’s memories to the object that gave him or her sexual pleasure. The body releases endorphins, natural opiates that create a “high,” of pleasure throughout the whole body. After sexual release, serotonin levels also change, bringing a sense of calm and relaxation. This system works the way it is supposed to work when you’re having sex with your spouse. Together, you can experience a high, an alertness of sexual pleasure, and a deep calm afterward (norepinephrine, endorphins, and serotonin). With each sexual embrace, you are emotionally bonding to this person (oxytocin and vasopressin). Over time, a craving for sex is transformed into a desire for one another (dopamine). Something very similar happens when your brain is “on porn.” Porn activates the same pleasurable chemicals in your brain that make sex so enjoyable and meaningful. But porn isn’t real sex, and it actually short-circuits the system with disturbing side effects. In this short video, Matt Fradd talks about our brains and the chemicals at work when we look at porn. I HOPE THIS HELPS... Laz |
Celebrating Rt. Hon. Dr. Davematics David Emmanuel Ombugadu(Yaro Mai Wanka) a selfless leader @ 44 Dear Ombugadu, you have demonstrated an uncommon and uncanny wisdom and exemplary leadership and it is on this note that I joined the rest of your teeming supporters, family, friends and associates in wishing you a happy 44th birthday accompanied with peace, good health, happiness and wealth. Your birthday coming at this time has to symbolize the genuineness of your personality and the greatness in you. To be honest, you are one of the people whose concern for humanity is second to none. You are a source of inspiration and blessings to so many households. Your genuine concern for the plight of the common man, necessitated your foray into the murky waters of Nigerian politics. And against all odds, you have performed exceptionally well. You are a man like no other, standing above your equal with an amazing quality, style, and a touch of excellence which made it possible to always see the best in people and you know how to harness young people’s potentials to get the desired results. In fact, you are a bank of ideas! The People's governor... A cursory look at your trajectory gives a chronicle of exemplary service to humanity and a profile of leadership and pure patriotism from an individual. You could have chosen to live your life as an ordinary man, or at best be content with your name in the history book as one of the ‘boys’ (as you are occasionally referred to by the older folks) who have done so well in the political sphere but you choose a different road to travel as to make more difference and serve humanity. You are indeed M. A. D (Making A Difference)! Indeed, to those who know you up close and personal, Davematics is an enigma: humble, self-effacing, industrious, practical, efficient by nature, diligent, always thinking about things he needs to accomplish or how to get ahead on his next assignment, a complete Capricorn, if you care to assess him by his Zodiac sign. But in plain terms, he is a case of a man who set out to always make a difference wherever he found himself. Not the kind of difference other men pursue to grandstand, but the type that impacts humanity and makes life easier for people. And of this, his track record is unassailable. We are so proud of you Sir and we wish you a happy birthday and more greater days ahead as you continue to make impacts and touch more lives. Nasarawa State is indeed blessed to have an illustrious son like you. #NasarawaStateProject2023 Salaki Lazarus.

There's nothing wrong in that theme. If you carefully perused through the banner, you'll discover that It’s an interactive session on relationship and subject of discussion is marriage. So many married couples are going through a lot. So many homes are broken because they lack proper counsel. This is an avenue for them to bare their minds. This is publicity. This is a pidgin rendition that will capture the attention of the youths especially the newlyweds and intending couples. |
It was an overwhelming Yes, as Orogu's campaign train lands in the western zone Ahead of the November 7th Congress of the People's Democratic Party, Nasarawa State chapter, delegates from Nasarawa, Toto, Keffi, Karu and Kokona local governments have thrown their weight behind the candidature of Hon. Francis Osowena Enokela Orogu, to continue as the State Working Committee Chairman. Their decision was predicated on his achievements as the Party chairman. As the opposition chairman, he was able to secure seven seats in the state House of Assembly out of the 24 members. And it was during his reign that PDP came very close to clinching the governorship seat. He has always challenged the government of the day. He has ensured discipline in the party. No single member of the party is bigger than the party. This is coming barely two weeks after the delegates from across the state converged in Akwanga to unanimously endorsed him for a second term. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will on Saturday 7th November, conduct a State Congress in the State to elect Executive Members following the expiration of the tenure of the Francis Orogu led committee. Congress is expected to take place at a soon to be announced location where delegates will elect leaders for the party. Hon. Francis Orogu is the party’s preferred and adopted candidate for the Chairmanship position. The party had before the widespread of the COVID-19 pandemic, conducted the wards and local government congresses. Rt. Hon. Davematics David Emmanuel Ombugadu, the governorship candidate of the party in the last general elections, urged party faithfuls to unite and put behind them any primordial sentiment in order to build a formidable structure. According to him, this is not the time for litigations, rather, this is the time for us to heal the wound of the past. This is the time for us to build and bring our ideas to the table for us to move our beloved party forward. We should be building bridges in this state and not burning them.

Nasarawa State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended former FCT Minister, Senator Solomon Ewuga and the 2019 deputy Governorship candidate of the party, Hon Muhammed Onawo. Its Publicity Secretary Muhammed Umar Bwala who stated this in a statement in Lafia said former Minister of Justice Musa Elayo was also suspended indefinitely by the party. According to him: “The State Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa state has met today, 25th March, 2020 to take far reaching decisions after a joint session with Members of State Elders Forum. ” That owing to the role of some PDP elders in sponsoring crisis within the party and engaging in act of gross misconduct, Senator Solomon Ewuga , Hon. Musa Elayo and Hon. Muhammed Onawo are hereby suspended from the party” he said He explained that they are to also face disciplinary standing Committee of the party for their actions. Our correspondent gathered that the suspended key members of the party has been having running battle with the state chairman of the party, Mr Francis Orogo who is seeking for a second term in office as chairman of the party. It was also gathered that the PDP governorship candidate of the party in the 2019 election, David Umbugadu and Senator Sulieman Adokwe are strongly supporting the return of Orogo as party chairman. Read Also: COVID-19: Subject yourself to test, Kogi PDP tells Bello Orogo had strongly supported Umbugadu to emerge the party’s governorship candidate in 2019 against Senator Ewuga. The state chairman is also believed to have frustrated the aspiration of Muhammed Onawo to pick the Nasarawa south senatorial ticket of the party in 2019 in favour of Senator Sulieman Adokwe. But speaking to our correspondent on phone, Senator Ewuga said there are processes of suspension which they didn’t follow. “It is a breach of right to fair hearing and fundamental human right of an individual, I’m just hearing it and no body has served me with a letter to that effect,” he said He explained further that the election of party officials in the state executive is not an affirmation and everybody has the right to support the candidate of his or her choice. “It is an election and not affirmation , that is what democracy is all about, it is not a military era, so everybody should subject himself to an election,” he said |

As the quest for Purposeful and Visionary Leadership intensifies... The Youths are calling on Honourable Davematics David E Ombugadu to pick up the gauntlets. The future belongs to those who see possibilities before they become obvious. Because vision is the art of seeing the invisible. Where there is no vision the people do perish so says the Holy Bible (Prov 29:18). Yet not everyone in a group is endowed with the gift of vision. “The discipline of deliberately exerting special influence within a group to move it toward goals of beneficial permanence that fulfill the group's real needs is defined as LEADERSHIP. Given the the above, one can postulate that in Hon'ble Davematics David E Ombugadu, we have found a leader. A leader whose penchant for service to humanity, has set him apart from his peers and colleagues. The Hon'ble member is someone who sees leadership as the capacity to translate vision into reality, thereby encapsulating the collective aspiration and corporate dreams of his people. A youth full of zest and gusto, with a rare drive and an all-consuming passion for the common good of humanity. He has an immense courage to dare and an abundant spirit of self-sacrifice. What distinguishes a leader and sets him apart from others in the group is his vision, his commitment to act upon the vision – the courage to dare that is also known as sense of mission, and his readiness to pay the ultimate price. The leader we need at this material time in our State is a person of ideas, a person of character, a person of principles, a person of proven integrity, a person of discipline, a person of humility, a person of truth and honesty, and a charismatic person and Hon'ble David Emmanuel Ombugadu, member representing the good people of Akwanga, Wamba and N/Eggon Federal Constituency, evidently demonstrate/possess these virtues. The only way to predict the future is to have the ability to shape it. Different youth groups across the state are of the opinion that "haven been tested and proven, the quintessential representative should as a matter of fact, move to the next level in his political career" . The honourable member is still consulting with the relevant stakeholders in the state and would soon make his intentions known. Support an idea whose time has come, support this dynamic Hon'ble Davematics David E Ombugadu for a better future for our people! #2019InGodWeTrust #2019SaiOmbugadu #MovingForward2019 #TheUncommonAchiever #NotTooYoungToRun

Nutase:Honourable David E Ombugadu is not a desperate politician. To set the record straight, he is not seeking to be a senator. |
My Stewardship Hon davematics David E Ombugadu, Member Representing Akwanga, N/Eggon And Wamba Federal Constituency in the National Assembly; House Committee chairman on AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Control and among other committees. The Honourable in delivering his own part of the social contract made with the good people of Nasarawa North, has indeed lived up to expectations. It is important to highlights some of his achievements or gains as part of his stewardship to his people. Honourable davematics as he is fondly called, has made it crystal clear that quality representation with good intentions are the hallmarks of his leadership while implementation with integrity is his core passion. It was Maya Angelo who opines that "I've learned that people will forget what you said; people will forget what you did, but will never forget how you made them feel", today the honourable member is living up to his promises. He hasn't dashed the hopes of his people neither has he betrayed their trust/faith reposed in him. The Honourable has scored so many goals, shown and displayed deft moves and passes, and as a good striker that he is and will always be, leading other passionate players in the game, he is headed for a convincing and unassailable victory, in spite of the hard opposition tackles come 2019. SCORECARDS EDUCATIONAL INTERVENTION Through the timely intervention of the Honourable member, we can all attest to the fact that the famous College of Education, Akwanga is wearing a new look and is being upgraded to the standard of a University. It was through his lobbying prowess in the house that most of the TETFUND projects were channelled to the college. No wonder the college can now boast of standard structures that can compete with any institution of higher learning in the country. The college also has a state of the art ICT unit, a thriving transport system, an e-library, a modern clinic to be commissioned soon and a lot more to come. The Honourable believes students are our most priced assets, and their future must be guaranteed today for the challenges of tomorrow by providing them with an enabling environment to learn that's why he has provided scholarship to law students as well as encouraged academic excellence with incentives. ON JOB CREATION , the Honourable has trained a lot of youths in various areas to equip them with the requisite skills for the job and the opportunities of the 21st century. He has secured jobs for some in the Nigerian army, Nigerian immigration Service, Nigerian Prisons Service, NIMC, National Tuberculosis and leprosy Centre, NDLEA, NEPA, CBN etc. HEALTH THEY SAY IS WEALTH and the Honourable member understands that, that's why over the years, he assembled a team of doctors and organised Free Medical Outreach. The free medical outreach has gone a long way in providing succour to our people who can not afford quality health care services in conjunction with the National Agency for the Control of AIDS, NACA. At the programme thousands of people were screened and surgeries performed. Intervention items to health institutions in the zone were also provided. He recently engaged in the construction of four Ultra Modern PHC Clinic across the zone as well as an Ultra Modern Emergency Theatre Complex in Alushi. Provision of eleven motorised boreholes and over 230 hand-driven ones too, to alleviate the problem of Water Supply, thus providing his people with portable drinking water. He recently launched the biggest water project in Sub Saharan Africa, tagged #ProjectWaterForAll where he intends to provide 1500 boreholes across the State. ON ELECTRICITY, through the Rural Electrification Project, the honourable member has provided respite to his constituency by procuring 15 brand new (500kva) transformers to boost power supply. More so, the Honourable member has before now, procured a 15mva injection substation transformer in Nasarawa Eggon, (The biggest so far in the State) while another 7.5MVA was provided to the People of Wamba. This is unbelievable, ridiculous and weird. It has a spiritual connotations. You seriously need to cut ties with him and seek for divine intervention I.e goin for special deliverance with a powerful man of God. |
My dear, try talking it over again in a mature way. If it doesn't work out, just pack ur things and walk away. Trust is one the most important ingredients in relationships even though it is in short supply. Remember to commit it to God in prayers. Peace. |
That's sheer genius! Nigerians are creative and innovative. All they need is proper support and sponsorship. Keep it up guy,one day you go make us proud! |
prettythicksme:On point dear. Whatever will be will be. |
NiRfreak:I am talking about the fear of God here. I am not trying to be sanctimonious but truth be told. If both parties are really committed to each other and they both fear God, then the issue is halved if not solved. Relationship is not just about sex guys. There's more to it. |
NiRfreak:I get your point. That's why I said believe in themselves. Take it or leave it, our personal believe in the creator helps a lot. |
Rapmoney:Op she's only sharing her personal experience of which i believe this forum permits. She ain't taking it personal Bro. |
GahtU:That's the bitter truth. Distant relationship is for the matured minds only. Only players kick against it. |
NiRfreak:Distance has never been a barrier in relation provided the two parties understand themselves, love themselves, believe in themselves and are mature in thinking. Coupled with faith in their creator. I am into it and I know the challenges in it. But if you can't handle the little challenge associated with it, how can you handle it when u r married and both of you are apart? |
