maishai: I currently stay in a remote village ,Imagine Giving out a bike on higher purchase to deliver #3000 daily, before 8am in the morning He has paid #900 in all manner of tickets, The least he gives Police daily is #300 and on market days VIO must collect #500...............Can You now tell me this poor bike man is not paying his taxes.........On the best day of his life riding he makes about #7000
Now He is a regular on this route, woe betide him that he tries to evade this taxes and he does not pay the next day........ That Bike is Gone
All I am saying is that You cant function commercially in this country without paying a form of tax or the other, Government just has to become more accountable for the ones they are collecting Those individuals collecting that sums from the bike man are not revenue collectors and such can't be termed as tax payment . This is simply the corruption we are talking. We need a system in a place to tackle such , but don't know how it can be achieved as there would still be loop holes . |

But this is what I did around last year December . I had to leave lagos by 2:30am to beat most of the law enforcement checkpoints. I arrived Osha exactly 8:30. Within those periods most are in recess or the checks are not rigid. |

Everest9: Hello Guys, I have been following this thread from page one but never commented because there are 3 categories of people viewing this page.
1. People that really want to buy a ride but looking for real value for their money. 2. People that are getting close and almost ready but not yet sure which ride to go for and as well looking for a better offer. 3. People that don't even have up to 200k but playing to God to pick their call or should I say working hard to see if they can own their own car.
Obviously, I belong to the third category, I really need a ride not actually for fun but you need to take kids to the school, go to church and other things but it starts by watching pictures and working hard to be able to make up the funds so don't blame those of us that watch the pictures and price.
Fuel economy debate!
I have seen what you guys had to say about whether we should consider fuel consumption as a priority before buying a car or not. I want to chip in something. None of you are wrong but we must know something very important.
Life is level by level, there are some people who have outgrown fuel problems, there are also people who change cars yearly or every 2 years and their problem is not actually how the car consumes fuel because it can't consume what they cannot afford.
On the other hand, what about those of us who cannot afford even a Nigerian used car at least for now, what makes you think it will be easy for us to spend let say 5k to 10k weekly fueling a car. My brother it depends on your level, I will rather stick to a ride that will take lesser fuel for now but my problem is that any car in that category is always expensive compared to some luxury rides.
I will disagree with my guys saying that going for a fuel economy car is poverty, that's not true. Trying to live above your level will actually do more harm than good, a wise man will always leave according to his level not actually buying a luxury car that you can't even fuel and maintain comfortably.
Finally, the choice is always our's go for any ride that pleases you and to be honest, I have seen some Acura SUV at 1 million + here that made me shake my head and say God when but am always confused to see this Corolla 2004-2008 at the same price or even above. When it comes to the physical look and luxury those Corolla is nothing to be compared to the Acura SUV am seeing here but since I don't know anything about cars maybe some expert will know the reasons why Acura SUV is this cheap.
Oh! I forget to say that I am planning to buy my own ride but my pocket is still blind and watching this thread and what you guys are saying will help me make the right choice.
Thanks to you guys especially madman, you must be spoiling business for some greedy niggers. One love. |

QueenieDar: If you submitted all statements and explain the fund well in those 3 accounts ,. Then ECO saw something he is not convinced about. Maybe apply again PS if you write 'additional income' be it business put your business info, if it's side business(non registered without tax) that would be difficult to prove. I think they view 200k above a good salary enough to visit UK if you have no family members or friends there, I hope you have luck next time . Thanks. I wait then since my pay is small |

QueenieDar: They meant aside your salary account with total closing balance 342k , how do you explain funds in the other accounts with over 2m with proof, not just writing letter Sorry sir, how do you mean proof? I submitted the statements and relevant cover letters from the respective institutions stating the sole funds are mine and can be liquidated at any time apart from the fixed deposits by September. If they are asking origin of funds, that means i would present my bank statements since inception as i have been working for over 4 years. |

My employer did not state.
So i want to apply again.
My employer gave me an introduction letter but did not state this other deposits in my account as they did not think it was necessary since other payments narration shows it emanates from them.
If they explained the deposits, would that suffice ? |

NIGHTLIFE100: Truth is those investments are not considered are readily available funds. Readily available fund is your closing balance. What was your closing balance? closing account balance was 324k |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by emadamysy: 7:25pm On Jul 12, 2019 |
NIGHTLIFE100: I usually advice and consider a salary of 200k above to be minimum anything less would put you in the range of spending thrice your monthly income. Or at least 150k disposable income, also there should be no lump sum or unexplainable funds. (eg) If you net 150k monthly and you have a closing balance of 5m I see it as red flag Am not sure that is the issue. I have a money market account , 1.5, pension, 1.5, fixed deposit 500k. I submitted all this docs |

I mean documentation Bonus, commission, data money. I explained this in my cover letter as i dont have documents to back this up. Those payments are from my employer and it is stated in the payment narration |
