PoliticsRe: Why Are Nigerians More Threatned By IPOB Protest Than Fulani Herdsmen Attacks? by Emancipation(op): 11:54am On Mar 02, 2016
PAINGAIN:
Because the fear loosing the igbos.
That doesn't make any sense. Common sense tells me that you don't shoot at, or kill or celebrate the death of people you want to stay with you.
PoliticsWhy Are Nigerians More Threatned By IPOB Protest Than Fulani Herdsmen Attacks? by Emancipation(op): 11:44am On Mar 02, 2016
Judging from the reactions of Nigerians from the IPOB protest in comparison to the Fulani Herdsman attack; you will think that IPOB is a murderous organisation.

Here are the Facts:

IPOB (Indeginous People Of Biafra)

Armed with: Singing,Chanting, Marching, Praying

Number of people killed by IPOB: 0

Fulani Herdsman

Armed with:Machine guns, Machete, Daggers, Bows and arrows

Number of people killed by Fulani Herdsmen:
1229 killed in 2015, over 400 killed so far in 2016

So, why are Nigerians more threatened and react quickly to IPOB protest than Fulani Herdsmen attacks? Am I missing something?
PoliticsRe: Another Group of South East-originated Investors Enrich Lagos with Billions by Emancipation: 7:46pm On Mar 01, 2016
If you want to know the difference between Igbos and Yorubas. Go to port harcourt. Some Yorubas have been there for decades working for oil companies but not one single investment in housing or business or even giving back to the community. But Igbos will go to Lagos and other western and northern states and invest all their life work and sweat there. How can you invest so much of your blood and sweat in a hostile environment. I just can't understand.

The locals are just silently waiting for the day they will claim your business and property. It is just pathetic. As for me, I will invest all my wealth in Igboland. I am not looking back. I will rather expand to Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Gabon than go to Lagos or north. One Nigeria is a big scam and the people who preach it everyday don't even believe in it.
PoliticsRe: Another Group of South East-originated Investors Enrich Lagos with Billions by Emancipation: 5:31pm On Mar 01, 2016
I have faith that the upcoming Igbo youth are much wiser than the older folks. Every Igbo youth I have spoken to are very passionate about investing in Igboland. There is a big generational divide. The upcoming youth is more pro-Igbo land development. If you doubt me, ask young Igbo folks interested in business, where they plan to invest.
BusinessRe: Ifeanyi Ubah Releases Full Masterplan for Nigeria’s Economic/Financial Intervent by Emancipation: 5:12pm On Mar 01, 2016
Ifeanyi uba always tries to come to the rescue of Nigerians without realizing that the people he is trying to help will gladly take his help and quickly turn against him at the same time.

During the fuel crisis last year, when other marketers were hoarding fuel. He kindly opened up his gas station for all Nigerians. Few months later, the same Nigerians were asking for Bihari to shut down his business with efcc and accused him of all sort of crimes.

Igbos have a big heart to a fault.
InvestmentRe: Investors Moved N2.2 Trillion Away From The Nigerian Economy In 2015 -thecable by Emancipation: 7:42pm On Feb 28, 2016
At a time when investors are running away, Anambra continues to attract investors. Their secret is simple. Their government targets mostly local/indigenous investors who truly have a stake in the development of the state.

Foreign investors have no loyalty. They run away at any sign of trouble. Even the Nigerian stock market is about 70% dominated by foreign capital. Some South African businesses have already closed down this year alone.
PoliticsRe: List Of What Goodluck Jonathan Did In The South East by Emancipation: 7:09pm On Feb 28, 2016
To me, this is the most important thing Jonathan did for Igbos.

Unlike the previous sectional federal governments, Jonathan created business friendly policies that benefited everyone regardless of tribe and did not to follow the Nigerian tradition of frustrating Igbo success.

I will personally invest my hard earned money in this project if they open it up for private investors. I am going to buy land there soon. I will keep monitoring how things are going.
PoliticsRe: Ohaneze Demands Creation Of South East Development Commission -- Punch by Emancipation: 8:37am On Feb 28, 2016
AustineE1:
Ohaneze as a noble Igbo umbrella organization has actually spoken well but i must remind them that the quest for the Biafran state, goes beyond those demands they made, most Igbo youths dont see a future in a Nigeria whose foundation was built on the blood of the innocent,a nation whose leaders revels with impunity in the worst form of corruptn, bitterness, marginalizatn, nepotism, favouritism, quota system over merit, religious extremism and tribalism of the highest order.
A nation a Nigerien or Chadian who is a muslim, stands a better chance to get certain position over a fellow country man with a better qualicatn from a different religion. A nation where a particular ethnic group can move freely with arms, kill others with impunity and stay above the law.
A nation where you are judged by the God you worship, your ethnicity and nt by the strenght of your character.
A nation where some are nt expected to get much but much is expected from them,A nation where some are grouped into the unfortunate 5% and others the favoured 95% by nobody else but the president!
Ohaneze thanks but no thanks, the youths have long made up their minds.
You have said it all. Igbo youths have given up on Nigeria. Even a blind man can feel it. Nigeria has a lot of work to do in order to reverse this trend.

Don't you mean the fake drugs your people are being killed in Asia for?
Yyeye deceptive clowns!
The level of bitterness in your heart is at a toxic level. Your propaganda will not change anything. Igbos will continue to grow from strength to strength. After all, those so called drug dealers are seen as Nigerians to the rest of the world.

LOL!
Yes ignorant fool . Drug is part of our resources.

When it comes to the pharmaceutical industry, the indigenous companies are all owned by Igbo men and women. We produce most of the life saving drugs in this country and at affordable price. Thank your masters you biiiiiitccch.

Charles soludo once described Anambra as a man who drives his car hard in no particular direction, from this saying we can summarise the south east as men who drive their SUV hard in no particular order or direction, the growth of the South-East is a haphazard growth in no particular direction and no particular speed.

If the south east gets more organised with economic segmentation and organisations, little investments would trigger much growth, most of the money spent in real estate should have been spent on equities, Investments and other businesses
My brother, let me explain to you why I think that investing in real estate is a smart business move in the East.

1) Nigeria has a massive housing shortage; 17 million housing units needed to meet demand according to Ngozi okonjo Iweala

2) This housing demand is very high (apart from Lagos); in most eastern cities; with a rapidly growing population.

3) Property value in the east constantly go up due to this demand. My dad bought 4 plots of land in ABA in 1992 for N80K but sold it for N15.4 million in 2014. Do the math.

Gbam...but this is what the jew do...Group economics and igbo is modeled after jewish in term of economic diasporean and group economics...why build an army where you can buy their army...have 100% of your home economy under your grip...they said Dangote is not investing in east, who needs a Dangote where we have Ibeto Cement, Chummy Chummy Noodles and these are Igbo Firms, the money should circulate within Igbo Economy(Group Economics101)

So as you can see it is a blessing
The advantage that Igbo land has is that over 90% its economy is supported by local investors. It has Very few foreign investors. This means that even in bad economy, the local investors don't run away unlike the foreign ones. That's why I like what obiano is doing which is focusing on attracting local/indigenous investors.

exactly! And that is what the south east truly needs. 100% Control of its resources while enjoying being in a larger nation at the same time.
The South east is blessed with the most important resource any country can have- a large educated population.
Forget oil, gas, coal, precious stones or any other natural resource..the human resource in the east is of high quality and MUST be put to good use.
The richest companies in the world are apple and google. They were built with human resources. Highly educated work force. That's why i laugh at the obsession of people in this country with oil.

Japan and korea developed without oil

The JAMB, WAEC and NECO scores and ranking shows that the south east is producing the future educated workforce that will power its growth and development,

At what quantity re these resources..?

It is a statement of fact that the south east is blessed in abundance with both human and natural resources. Besides countries like korea and japan developed with no natural resources.

True! Many igbos are coming back home to invest. It's stupid having your business everywhere in this country except where you are from.
The igbos can single handedly develop their region WITHOUT federal assistance so it beats me how some of our igbo leaders like TA orji treat their states.
This is why we need true federalism. Imagine what we can accomplish if given the powers to govern our region. All this talk about referendum will end overnight.

PoliticsThe South-east Is Like A Private Construction Zone by Emancipation(op): 8:50am On Feb 25, 2016
I have been away from the country for almost 4 years for studies. I had the opportunity to tour the east for the past two months trying to setup up my business. It felt like a construction zone everywhere. The type of real estate boom happening is shocking. Places that used to be bush years ago are housing estates. I couldn't even recognize my own mother's village. The development is real and surprising considering the fact that the economy is not good.

My theory about this is that:

1)possible investment coming from igbos in the diaspora.

2) possible that igbos in nigeria have finally reversed the trend of investing outside of igboland

3) possible that Easterners on average might have stronger spending power

Finally, i think that governments in the east have to be more strict when it comes to new developments in virgin lands. They need to make sure the area is mapped out and well planned before people get permit to build so that space for road expansion can be available. But I am still impressed at the rapid developments.

The igbo ethnic group despite not being power has been very relevant.
It is not far-fetched to think the Nigerian state is a nation metarmorphosizing into some sort of pax -igboism.
I won't be surprised if foreigners believe igbos are the overwhelming majority in Nigeria.
Tell me any group on earth came back after its cities was leveled to the ground and came back 20 years later WITH NO HELP. Not one.

Europe got help through the Marshall plan from US

Korea and Japan got help

Southern US was rebuilt in 10 years after the civil war

Biafran nation was level to the ground but got no kobo to rebuild. if anything they got only 20 pounds of their own money. Yet by 1990s Nnewi a village was manufacturing things.

meaningless rants....... Last I checked the SS is the most sustainable region in Nigeria and every state can form an individual country and do very well on its own. Is it by force to go with y'all? we rejected you lots in 1967 and we'll do it times over. In the SS nobody lays claims to anybody, we give each other due respect- something you lots lack.

Our different ethnic leaders have said it all. The efik, urhobo, ijaw, kalabari, ikwerre leaders have said it. Keep living in denial until 1967 repeats itself.
Last you checked? Nigga go take a sit. You need Igbos more now than they can ever need you. That oil that made you significant in Nigeria is worthless now.

We are industrious, and well educated. We are capable of producing any goods and services. We came back stronger 45 years after the civil war. Our major villages are turning into towns overnight. Nigga dont even get me started.

Lol,there is nothing person wont see on this forum..If the yorubas are not claiming urobohos how is it the business of the igbos..The average anioma have nothing in common with the average urohobo man, they are not culturally related in any way and that's the more reason they shouldn't be together..The only tribes in the SS carrying this SS union for head are the ijaws, edos and the urohobos of cause and I wonder if they can't survive on their own won't attaching their selves to tribes like the SS ibos, efiks, ikwerres, ibibios who don't like the idea of sharing the same country with the ijaws, edos and urohobos..
I have noticed that most people who have been opening different threads concerning this SS issues are from those tribes..you are an urohobo man bro and I wonder if you won't survive on your own without attaching your self with the aniomas in delta state or the efiks and ibibios of akwaibom and cross rivers.

anioma governor just like other south east governors gave his own opinion simple, it doesnt change anything. Why would he say otherwise?
