zendy:Everything that you said is true and I already know it. I opened this thread because I have given up on them. If your father and mother have raised you to hate igbos, how can you overcome that? Very few strong minded people do. Like I said earlier, there are so many non Igbo nigerdeltans that cling to Nigeria because they rather have igbos in check. That's why I prefer a more homogenous movement that is devoid of confusion and backstabbing. |
Onenaira1:Oh really, I see. At least I tried my best to give him the benefit of doubt. So nobody will say I didn't try. |
Proudlyngwa:Lol...Nigerian unity is negotiable and even honest northerners are beginning to say it talk less of an Igbo man like you where your people have been on the short end of the evil deal. |
Igboid:I agree with you that we should leave the door open but we should only do it in such a way that make them understand that we do not need them. If we actively seek out their support, it makes us look desperate and they begin to see it is wanting to dominate them and their resources. Let's just keep the door open. That's it. |
Proudlyngwa:Point noted but it still doesn't diminish the right to self determination. How it is interpreted or implemented is purposefully left open. The existence of that right will always make the unity of Nigeria negotiable. |
Proudlyngwa:In paragraph 1 of the United Nations 1941 Atlantic charter: " All peoples have the right to self-determination. By virtue of that right, they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development." The requirement for self determination include distinct langugue, culture, and peoples agreement expressed in referendum. Study Catalonian case against Spain. And finally it is both along ethnic and geographical lines. I don't know what you mean by that question. |
Proudlyngwa:I already explained above but in summary, I am in full support of a people's right to self determination. But I think there is so much distrust towards Ndigbo among some the non Igbo niger deltans. Because of this, I think is better for ndiigbo to redraw the map and go for it alone. it is just my humble opinion. |
Also some Yorubas and some non-Igbo Niger deltans welcome Fulani dominance and see it as a way to keep igbos in check. Although this hasn't worked out so well for them because to their surprise, igbos came back stronger 20 years after they were left for dead. But this mentality still endures and they continue to pass it down to their children. |
Proudlyngwa:Your opinion is highly welcomed. |
The major advantage is that it will increase the chances of the movement succeeding since we speak with one voice. And no propaganda of igbos want to dominate you will succeed. You cannot blame the non Igbo Niger deltans 100% for their anti Igbo stance. To them, You will always be one of the big tribes and that makes them nervous. They feel like they might be replacing one oppressor to another. |
Ndi Igbo umu nnem, especially Igbo youths, Please listen to me. I am proud of us as a people. We have done so much with litte. We have overcome so many adversities as a people. And trust me when I say that the future is very bright for us regardless of the problems we endure today. But please can we focus this bia fran movement thing to only Igboland both in SE and SS. Meaning we should forget about including non-Igbo Niger deltans. Please only intelligent response will be engaged. |
Lordave:He is an impostor. So many ikwerre indigenes have exposed him in the past. |
kropotkin2:The United Nations is the answer. They did it for south sudan even though Bashir had all the weapons in the world to stop it. If UN approves a referendum and the nigerian government refuses to cooperate, then sanctions will follow and Nigerian economy will crumble. IPOB has been working hard in the background lobbying the UN. You will wake up one day with a big shock that a referendum has been approved by the united nations. |
kropotkin2:Speak for yourself and family only. You cannot know what is everyone's interest without a referendum. Thats why IPOB and NDA has called for it. As for using the threat of bloodshed to silence the agitation for biafra, it doesnt work and it will never work. The more IPOB protesters are shot, the more they gain support in SE/SS. The most tragic man made disaster Africa has ever faced is slavery and colonialism. It has played a huge role in our backwardness and it will be hard to find any other man-made disaster to surpass that. |
kropotkin2:Why is nigerian unity non-negotiable? |
There are many igbo communities in the Nigerdelta. IPOB and so many like minded Igbos will not sit back and allow the Nigerian military massacre civilians in the name of fighting militants . |
WOW I mistakenly ran into this thread. Ndigbo ekenem unu o. Jisienu ike ka anyi dozie obodo anyi. United we stand. Divided we fall. Dalu nu o. |
Nigerians need to tell themselves the truth for once. The 36 state structure needs to be scrapped and replaced with 6 geopolitical regional government and equipped with fiscal federalism. Nigeria will never develope at this current pace. It took china only 30 years to go from one of the poorest countries to one of the richest. |
mysticgal:Both states (Anambra and Abia) has the highest concentration of economic activity in the south east. They are undertaxed in my opinion when you consider this fact. Ebonyi is the smallest in population and business activity yet they still generate so much revenue. |
There is no reason why Abia and Anambra shouldnt be ahead of Enugu. Abosulutely none. Even small ebonyi state is flexing hard. |
Lalasticlala over to you. |
…may take up arms and join Avengers if… By Nwabueze Okonkwo The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu has stated that it has disowned those it identified as well-known turncoat who are claiming on the pages of Nigerian newspapers that they do not support their fellow freedom fighters, the Niger Delta Avengers, NDA who IPOB regarded as their kith-and-kin. Kanu was arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS, on his way into Nigeria from UK IPOB maintained that it is solidly behind the Avengers who are fighting for the freedom of the people of Biafra from the enslaving Islamic Republic of Nigerian Government, adding “We want to place it on record that IPOB under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has no connection with those groups who are criticizing the avengers that are calling for the release of Kanu, the detained IPOB leader” In a press statement issued yesterday and jointly signed by their spokesmen, Emma Nmezu and Dr. Clifford Iroanya, IPOB warned that should the Nigerian government send its troops to the oil-rich Niger Delta land to fight the Avengers, as intelligence report is suggesting, it would direct its members to join hands with the Avengers and confront the troops head-on. IPOB said it is making a reference to a particular group which is a well-known turncoat and their leader who has been bribed with oil blocks allocations in the oil-rich areas of Biafra land, adding that this same compromised group is known to have started the ugly incidence of kidnapping in Biafra land and their members often used as thugs and hired killers for politicians in Nigeria. IPOB recalled that the Avengers have consistently stated that the release of Kanu is a precondition for any discussion with Nigeria, adding that it is quite unfortunate and disgraceful that the incompetent and intellectually challenged Nigerian Government has swept this demand under the carpet while magnifying the notion of amnesty payments and resource control as reasons for the NDA‘s actions. “For the avoidance of doubt, the Avengers are fighting for the freedom of the people of Biafra and not for amnesty payment or for resource control as some commentators would like to believe. When Biafra is finally liberated from the bondage called Nigeria, resources shall be controlled by the owners of the land where those resources are located. The perennially incompetent Nigerian Government should stop deceiving the entire world into believing that what the freedom fighters of Avengers are demanding is resource control”. According to the statement, “Amnesty is associated with criminality and a people who are fighting for their freedom should not be unjustly termed criminals. The notion and talk of amnesty for our own freedom fighters (the Avengers or NDA) is a misnomer and should be taken out of any discourse. On the contrary, amnesty should be granted to the Nigerian Government especially to those from the criminal class masquerading as elites who unjustly appropriated oil and gas wells and other resources in Biafra land to themselves and their cohorts to the detriment of the masses. These robbers should be associated with amnesty for their economic criminality not the Avengers. “Ironically, the statement further added: “most of the leaders of the compromised groups are speaking against the great work that the NDA are doing. These shameless scavenging Hausa-Fulani sponsored slaves in Biafra land have placed the needs of their stomach and their families above the overall national interest of the liberation of their people who are under the enslavement of the Nigerian Government in concert with the British Government who have never supported the liberation of any christian country in the world. “We reiterate that IPOB is totally and absolutely in support of the NDA as they march towards the unconditional liberation of our people from the evil grip of Nigerian Government. We plead with the Avengers not to be discouraged by the comments and antics of these so-called leaders of these compromised groups and some other charlatans who parade themselves as freedom fighters. “The Avengers should know that the only ally they have now is IPOB under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu. IPOB is warning the extremist Nigerian Government of Buhari that should they invade any part of Biafra land, as intelligence report indicate they are planning to, then IPOB will order every youth in Biafra land to join the Avengers to defend Biafra land.” Read more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/06/biafra-ipob-disowns-anti-niger-delta-avengers-group/ |
Hate him or love him, this man Nnamdi Kanu has sparked a fire that will consume everything on its way. |
Stupid arguements. Simple referendum will solve all these nonsense. Ipob is smart enough to know that there is still resentment against igbos by some minorities and that's why they have been calling for a referendum where everyone can say yes or no to Biafra. Nobody is forcing anybody. |
irunoobo:Chai...See mouth action. Is this the best you got. |
Sweetlemon:So you want us to stay and continue to be 5th class citizens Stay so you can continue to use our resources to develop your region Stay so that we can feed crumbs with you from your fulani masters Stay so that herdsmen can continue slaughter me and my people like goats Stay so I can continue to depend on your ports for economic survival There is a reason that Nigerians and their government result to violence instead of intellectual debate when the issue of referendum is brought up. Look how many innocent human beings were slaughtered on May 30th in the name of keep Nigeria one. |
Yampotatocarrot: I am an ANIOMA man and will never support South east leaving without anioma people. We dont believe in the imaginary niger delta republic. |
kanu needs to just relax. The fulanis will unknowingly finish the job he started. His God is alive. |
Nnamdi kanu predicted these things 2 years ago and people condemned him. Agwu people tried o fight back but 72 of them were arrested by police. This has gone past political correctness. It is now survival mode It is clear that in order for Nigeria to remain united, human lives has to be constantly sacrificed |

OP I asked you the following question on the other thread BUT you never responded. Instead you ran and opened another thread to spread your propaganda. I need you to answer these questions truthfully: 1) What state, local government and village are you from in the south south 2) How did south south come into existence? 3) Are there Igbos in the south-south? If so who are they? 4) What else unites the south-south people outside of oil? |
