Izonpikin:That's exactly what will happen because they (yorubas) dont have a choice anymore than to join and fight for resource control. They have cornered themselves. This is a lesson for those who turn a blind eye to the injustice perpetuated to others while keep shouting one nigeria. |
OfficialAwol:It was obasanjo that did it when he was trying to cheat Niger deltans back in 2004 but now oil has been discovered in Lagos, it has totally backfired. |
Asari Dakubo wasn't far from the truth when he said lagos has no oil. Key points: 1) The Obasanjo government in accommodating a solution settled on the onshore/offshore abrogation bill of February 2004 (backdated to April 2002) which describes the limit of the littoral states as the 200 metre water depth isobath contiguous to a State of the Federation. 2) Instead of using the 200 nautical miles (370 km) Exclusive Economic Zone EEZ as anticipated, the bill cleverly recommended a limit of ‘200 metre water depth isobath’. It was a masterstroke by Obasanjo, the Federalist. 3) For states whose sea bed plunges sharply into the sea, the 200m water depth isobaths would be closer to shore while states with gently sloping sea beds would have a farther derivation belt. Lagos, Ogun and Ondo States’ sea bed are typically in the former category while the likes of Bayelsa, Rivers and Akwa Ibom are in the latter. 4) Lagos has now been accredited for derivation by the RMAFC but in his speech to Governor Ambode, the Chairman of the Commission noted that Lagos is only qualified for derivation on production from 4 wells out of the five in the Aje field as the last well fell beyond the 200 isobath water depth. Note that the Aje field is just 24 kilometres from the coast of Lagos and in water depth of about 100 meters — a shallow, near-offshore field by industry deep-water standards. And there also lies the problem for Lagos. Most of the future production from offshore Lagos is farther into the Atlantic. |
victorvezx:Yet you commented on a useless thread. Was a gun held to your head? |
It is now upto lovers of One Nigeria who want to continue this country's existence to pressure the government to restructure it. If not, this divide and antagonism towards Nigeria will continue to grow. |
There is a strong generational divide happening in the SE/SS and only few people are paying attention. For example, In the past, when ohaneze speaks, everyone listens. But today they are not taken serious anymore. The same with Ijaw Elders, where the Ijaw youth council openly disagrees with them on the way forward on various issues. The younger generations in the SE/SS have realized that the older folks sold their birthright in the name of one Nigeria. |
All these old men or political opportunist who call themselves "Elders" condemning Biafra today will all die soon and then you all will realize that the younger people who are now anti-Nigeria will be the majority. If you dont give these young people a reason to love and die for one Nigeria, then Biafra will surely become a reality in their lifetime when they take over from the so called Elders. This is just the Beginning..... |
Yes, this should be common sense but because of unreasonable people, I have to make this clear. There is no way any state government in the south east or south south will support Biafra. They were sworn in to serve and protect the integrity of Nigeria. So it makes absolutely no sense when people keep quoting governors statement as a pointer when most of these same governors cant even pull 1/10 of the crowd Nnamdi Kanu pulls without having to rent it. These Governors cannot afford to bite the hands that feed them. Even the soldiers that protects their lives take orders directly from the Federal government. But the good thing is that NOBODY needs their support. This is a grass root movement devoid of political elites and mostly led by young men and women from the SE/SS who have said enough is enough with the continuation of a fraudulent contraption. These young people are selfless and fighting for the freedom of future generation while some people sit on the sidelines to condemn them. They will succeed because they are fighting a just fight. |
The cost of running an airline is already high and profit margin can be slim but when you factor in Nigeria to the equation, it becomes impossible especially if you are an Igbo business man. So setting up the airline in Swaziland and servicing Nigerian market from there is the best solution. |
This is exactly what smart Igbo businessmen should do. If you feel that your business will do better outside of Nigeria, please set it up there. He can still deliver cargo directly to Enugu airport without dealing with corrupt and tribalistic Nigerian officials. He learnt from the experiences of Orji Uzo Kalu who's SLok airline was frustrated by obasanjo for mere political and tribal reasons. |
ButtCake:There are so many foreign made products and services that Nigerians horribly mispronounce their name but that never stoppend them from buying or using it. And trust me, the owners of that product dont care as long as money is in the bank. |

chukzyblingz: Aniomas are Igbos living west of the Niger river. Whether you accept it or not is your choice. |
Standing5:Exactly what I was thinking. Projects funded by huge debts. |
fergubams:Useless non-entity |
As far as the Nigerian constitution is concerned, Every IGBO, Yoruba, Hausa and everyone else has the inalienable right to live and do business where ever that they choose to. This is the true essence of the one Nigeria that was fought for. There is nothing like accommodating someone. That is pure nonsense. You didn't pay for their land You didn't start them a business You didn't pay their bill you didn't send their children to school Igbos go to a place with nothing and work hard to accomplish something. They pay taxes (whether you want to admit it or not) STOP THIS STU.PID LIES AND PROPAGANDA |
Hopefully Fulani headsmen wont pay his farm a visit before harvest. |
Enugu communities are beginning to finally fight back and I like it. But in general, I will advise Ndigbo to stay away from issues of Fulanis and middlebelters. The same middlebelters will not hesitate to slaughter you as in the case of Biafran war to keep Nigeria one. Also, Didn't they vote for buhari in massive numbers regardless of all the Fulani herdsmen slaughters they have been receiving? |
I had goose-pimple while reading the OP predictions. I am not surprised Buhari is a total disaster rather I am shocked how detailed the OP prediction was 2 years ago. |
totit:That is not true. Igbos DO NOT depend only on import and export. Plus if the cost of importation goes up, then the traders add it to the goods and the consumers pay for it. There are so many traders that also manufacture their own goods. If you go Aba, Onitsha, Nnewi, there are so many traders with cottage industries. Just because your jeans and T-shirt says made in Italy doesn't mean it is actually made in Italy. A lot of Nigerians wear and use Igbo-made products without knowing it. |
AnambraDota:The south south is a basket case. I wouldn't generalize. Some of them are very hard working like people from akwa ibom. A lot of them, both men and women come to Aba to buy good and sell. |
amc:You are free to open up another thread to discuss that but thats not what OP asked. |
The North is definitely suffering the most especially the north east and the south east is suffering the least. The south east has the following advantages: 1) Vibrant diaspora community all over the world that send money back home. 2) The culture of no room for Laziness. IN the south east, If you are a lazy man or woman, you will die. 3) Diversification of south easterners in both commerce and manufacturing. 4) Vibrant middle class that continues to grow even with bad economy (much slower now). Wealth is more spread out in the east than in other regions. 5) Proliferation of various housing estate even in a bad economy. Just this year alone, multiple housing project by private individuals is coming up in places like Imo, Anambra and Enugu 6) Local and Foreign investments from both the diaspora and local business men. Anambra state is the best example for this. |
ivandragon:true words |
The world is beginning to see Nigeria for what it truly is: A divided Nation artificially united by crude oil. |
He is the youngest king because evil fulani herdsmen killed his father in their family farm. |
Hey MOD, why was this thread quickly moved to culture section? |
Thanks again OP for another eye opener. You never disappoint. It only takes one seed of truth to destroy mountains of lies. |
At a time when Investors are running away from Nigeria, Anambra state attracted 9 solid investors just in the Agricultural sector alone. Their secret is that obiano was wise to focus on local investors and anambra indigens in the diaspora. Unlike foreign investors who run away at the sign of trouble, local investors stay the course. Obiano has given Ndigbo the future blue print on how to develope our land. All Igbo governors need to copy this model immediately regardless of political affiliation. They need to set up their own version of ANSIPPA immediately. No need to reinvent the wheel. |
Oh I forgot 1 more. Buhari is duara-dullard. He is not qualified to be the store manager of a shoprite no to talk of the president of a nation. |
