Good response from IPOB, Simple and straight to the point. They are becoming more strategic.

Igbos just want get out of Nigeria. Not interested in presidency. There is a curse on that seat.

Personally, I think that the biafran agitation should exclude people from the middle belt. We might end up in a Trojan horse situation if care is not taken. Let them fight their own battle and leave igbos out of it.

This news is from May 14th, 2010.

Naija9090:
Exactly. The biggest threat to Northern agenda is Igbo. They have realized that Igbo leaders and monarchs have zero control of Igbo youths/young men...same challenge that colonial whites encountered which posed a significant, unforgiving delay to the expansion and control of all Nigeria territory then. That's why Igboland was the last place to fall to colonial whites...took 12 yr war to finally make inroads...bring in missionaries, and Britian has never forgiven Igbos for this!

In one book I read, a white colonial master wrote the Igbos are made of steel; difficult to convince and implacable to subdue! LOL. The reason he gave was the yorubas had Obas, Hausa-Fulani had Emirs, Binis had Obas which made it very easy to control...simply go to the Obas and Emirs, and the rest was history. However with the Igbos, they didn't have such indirect leadership structure...there was nobody to go to, they had direct/transparent leadership structure...meaning if you had something to say to them you must bring it to the village square, in front of the Ezes and the people...they will all deliberate on it in the open! Lol!
Igbos have democratic system of government ingrained in our culture. We practiced democracy before the Europeans adopted it. The ekwumekwu war actually lasted for almost 3 decades. It was in the 1930s that the british finally subdued the anioma igbos. This made them angry towards igbos because we resisted their supremacy.

PoliticsRe: ‘it Would Be Difficult For An Igbo To Be Nigeria’s President’ by Emancipation: 3:46am On Mar 09, 2016
CandyDiamond:
Since all this years that Nigeria have not produce an Igbo president, have Nigeria become paradise on earth or has Osun,Ondo,Borno,Sokoto,Zamfara etc becomes better than other states in Nigeria, if you hold other people down out of envy, you are also holding yourself down
Yes in their minds, Nigeria is paradise, and thats why nigerians fill up in every embassy looking for visa to get the hell out.

The bolded is a common proverb in Igboland. Thats why Igbos dont waste time envying each other. Instead, they work hard to surpass each other. But myopic and envious outsiders see it as Igbos trying to dominate. The only way their limited minds and uncompetitive nature responds is to tilt the scale with cronyism and backward policies.
PoliticsRe: ‘it Would Be Difficult For An Igbo To Be Nigeria’s President’ by Emancipation: 3:32am On Mar 09, 2016
Sunky200:
being the president of this country shouldn't be about what a region/tribe will benefit from his or her administration but the country at large
So basically in other words you are saying the same thing I am saying. Igbo presidency will not do shit to improve the daily lives of Igbo people. An Igbo president will have to appease and favor the north disproportionately in order for peace to reign... So please have the God damned presidency. It is meaningless especially in the current system of the federation.

I will choose an Igbo Businessman or Governor with vision over useless presidency anytime anyday. They are the ones that have the most impact on Igbo people lives.

Sunky200:
well said my brother, you understand their failure in national politics.

the worst being their refusal to accept their wrongs and yet forcing their regional philosophy on others
Name one important thing Igbo presidency will do for Igbos in the current system?
PoliticsRe: ‘it Would Be Difficult For An Igbo To Be Nigeria’s President’ by Emancipation: 6:49pm On Mar 08, 2016
jahsharon:
Mr Chairman, you are wrong; it is not difficult but impossible. No Ibo will ever be Nigeria's president. Ibos will be president of Biafra on paper.
Northerners have ruled for over 40 years, has the north developed? In fact they are poorer today than in the 60s

Look at south west. What did obasanjo presidency do for them? Compare south west today to the east.

I will pick development 1 million times over useless presidency. The East is developing at a fast pace. What I saw with my two eyes still shocks me. So to hell with the useless presidency.
PoliticsRe: ‘it Would Be Difficult For An Igbo To Be Nigeria’s President’ by Emancipation: 3:11pm On Mar 08, 2016
Just seeing what Jonathan went through even though he is not Igbo, then imagine what an Igbo president will go through. In fact this time the north will open borders and invite Isis to come in.

This is assuming that he makes it to presidency somehow by chance.

But I don't care about the presidency. What has being president done for any region? Look at the north today.
PoliticsRe: Dear Brothers In South East by Emancipation: 1:30pm On Mar 08, 2016
NuhuIbrahim:
Sometimes I read newspapers and online news I do see my Ibo brothers complaining bitterly about our dear president that he is not working and I wonder why. In the first instance, did the East actually voted for PMB? if no then why complaining? I urge them to stop complaining because there did not vote for him and they should allow us to do the complain because we voted for him.
Oh really. This is the best example of the hypocrisy we are dealing with. What happened with you guys and criticisms when Jona was in power?

You never voted Jonathan to begin with yet he did most of the federal projects in your land. Go and look at the electoral map in 2011.
Hypocrite.

BermudaTriangle:
A resounding yes. You can deduce that from his posts.
And majority of yorubas want it too. But what we hate and cannot understand is the hate directed at us by Nnamdi Kanu.
Much as the yoruba want out of this fabrication called Nigeria, we are very mindful of the leaders we follow.
When the right leadership emerges, we know what to do.
The Op has only advised that the strategies used be reappraised and i don't see why that should instigate vilifications except from people with low cognitive wisdom.
Nnamdi Kanu needed to be controversial in order to draw people's attention. Do you know that radio Biafra has been there since 2006. How many people listed before Nnamdi Kanu. If you minus his hatred, he spoke the bitter undeniable truth with facts to back it up and that the main reason people were drawn to him.

As for the op, he started out good but just as expected started to use divide and conquer strategy. I am glad I am not the only one that noticed it.

None of those have anything to do with their support for biafra.

The oba felt disrespected and did what oba does. Ariyo didn't ask for genocide on igbos. He said something like, "the same reason they were killed in south Africa is happening in Lagos now, and if they are killed". I'm sure it was when he saw the way the Oba was being slammed by your people.

We had no reason to believe that Buhari was behind the killings. And we had no choice than to vote for Buhari when Gej marginalised the SW and didn't perform. It was a case of choosing the lesser of two evils.
Well I respect your opinions but I disagree although I commend you for taking a stand and not running around the bush.
PoliticsRe: Biafra, Sincerity, Strategy, Justice And Mechanism by Emancipation: 12:49pm On Mar 08, 2016
ycat:
Now those are two different things.

I can support you to get biafra, and still say something like you just said on a thread where Yoruba are being bashed.

Believe me, only lunatics want to remain in Nigeria as it is. Nothing works, and we are just delaying the inevitable. But until then, we don't even have to get along, all we need to give each other is respect.
I understand but you have to realize that the average person with no bias sees it as hypocritical. That's all I am saying.
PoliticsRe: Biafra, Sincerity, Strategy, Justice And Mechanism by Emancipation: 12:41pm On Mar 08, 2016

I support you to get your biafra any way you want without dragging us into it. I don't support Kanu because he was calling for Yoruba to be killed and insulting us, when we are in no way in his way to biafra.
But oba of Lagos threatened Igbos to be killed in lagoon

Dr. Ariyo in America asked for genocide on Igbo

Even Buhari was voted for massively in Sw even though both Yoruba and Igbo youth corpers were killed in 2011 after his threat.

So is safe to say you support Nnamdi Kanu and Ipob? Yes or No?
Ycat the reason why I am asking you this is that I have seen so many Yorubas on this forum with the same moniker go on one thread and say " I have no problem with Biafra, they can leave" then the same people will go on a different thread and say " kill all this Ipob bastards and hang Nnamdi Kanu".

So is safe to say you support Nnamdi Kanu and Ipob? Yes or No?
PoliticsRe: Biafra, Sincerity, Strategy, Justice And Mechanism by Emancipation: 11:41am On Mar 08, 2016
Why does Yoruba people want Biafra to fail so much? I opened a thread about this and got banned.

You complain that Igbos are your problem, yet you can't let them go. Most of the anti Biafra media propaganda is led by them.

I wish white men would just use nuclear weapon to wipe out the useless black race. We are our worst enemies and they know it.

We kill each other in order to protect their racist legacy. A racist white man ask his girlfriend to name you after drawing a line on the map.

Looking at your profile, I'm not for a moment surprised you support things like this. It is very typical of you lot. You imagine every single thing in life revolves around tribe and religion. You imagine hating and stumping another man is the best way to getting everything you desire in life including some miserable dream of a useless country. Even within your own tribe, all you do is hate one another, as you consider some from a articular state superior to others.

Shame on you lot.
I support freedom of speech. Simple. Why don't you counter with facts instead of your ultra emotional outbursts to shut down other people's freedom. #commonsense.

Lalasticlala, Seun, Mynd44, what sort of nonsense is this?? Why should some people's religion be turned into a thing of joke and mockery?? Why is the forum allowing this inflammable trash thrive? If I were a Muslim I sure as hell wouldn't find this thread funny. I don't see Muslims open threads to mock Christianity, why are these people allowed to do so unimpeded??

I suggest this thread be taken down and the Op given a lengthy ban for denigrating a people's religion on purpose.

Thanks.
Shut up. They are simply using present day facts to project what will happen in the future if certain conditions occur. Disprove them with counter facts if you disagree. Nobody is making fun of religion of peace.
