I'm very experienced and I still Google, even in the presence of patients. Medicine is incredibly broad and it's impossible to know and remember everything. Sometimes, I need to confirm dosages, side-effects or possible drug interactions. Even diagnoses need to reconfirmed if they're not the common ones. If you watch medical series, the doctors are always pulling research, especially when they're not sure. A doctor who claims to know it all is a very dangerous doctor. |
Stephen0mozzy:Does PHCN give you discounts when they don't supply power? |
Chachalogo:I actually served there about 20yrs ago and we were on a rotating 12 hr schedule of light on, light off. Of course, we had to use lanterns to attend to patients when there was no power. |
Glimpsetv:Na today? Would we leave the person to die because there is no light? We even operate on emergencies in the dark. |
"Egg" in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Only 10. |
The purpose of baptism is to bring the person, child or adult, into the family of Christ. It washes away the original sin of Adam which everyone is born with. This is the reason for infant baptism in the Catholic Church. As they grow, they are taught more about the faith. At the age of reason which is about 7 years, they get to go to confession and then partake in Holy Communion through which they are sanctified. Jesus made it clear that we are to confess our sins to one another and whatever would be forgiven on earth would be forgiven in heaven or vice versa. In Acts 10, Cornelius and his entire household were baptized. Jesus also tells us to suffer the children to come unto me. It's all biblical, though subject to interpretation. Personally, it's all my early childhood indoctrination that carried me through until I actually built a better relationship with God. |
Peller was having an emotional breakdown. He needs medical assistance first before punishment. Go deal with the spoilt rich kids involved in reckless car-racing in Abuja first. |
No adult can be forced into rehab under any circumstances. It must be a personal decision. The so-called rehab is not even in Nigeria and she will need the support of her loved ones if she is to go through the process. If Ned was truly doing this in her best interest, he would not be doing everything in a way that alienates her family. I will say that in the beginning, Ned and Regina really seemed to be enamored by each other. It seemed to go beyond his wealth. He was very attentive and she was very supportive. What seems to have gone wrong now is an attempt to enforce a skewed power dynamic. Ned being older and more established wants to flex his damaged ego to get what he wants by any means possible. Marriage is not by force and you cannot threaten or beat a woman back to a marriage, even if you have successfully done it in the past with Laila. Regina is too popular for that. He should let her move on. She's not his personal property. If it were me, I would quietly flee the country and seek asylum because once someone turns you to a punching bag like this, you're never safe again. |
I guess you can tag them "Gazelles". |
I'm fortunate to have that information on both my maternal and paternal sides. |
duduade:Why wasn't he screened at the airports? Such a person shouldn't have been able to cross borders in the first place. |
Does it operate with only WiFi? I would have loved to get one. |
JustSayHello:As I said, yes, there were bad elements in USAID management, most especially at the local levels. In the area of contraception, I can absolutely say as a matter of fact, USAID gave us top-quality products and support. I also witnessed a lot of support provided in malaria prevention, HIV/AIDS, and TB. |
JustSayHello:Not true! I personally worked with USAID on contraceptives for several years. They were top quality. Of course, some of our local people are criminals who have diverted funds and activities for their own gain and other nefarious activities, but the supplies were real. Not only did they provide contraceptives, they also equipped several government and private hospitals in Nigeria and paid their staff stipends. |
For over a century, the South has consistently generated more revenue than the North, largely due to its superior transportation access. |
Congratulations and well done! The sky is your stepping stone. |
Lovely! Nigerians deserve their own wedding too. |
Asaba is 100% Igboland, so the Niger Delta people can make all the noise they want. They should blame IBB for choosing to make it the state capital rather than Warri, but it is Igbos that own that place. |
The true GOOOAAAT! You just have to admire his drive. |
Softmirror:Try am, if na beans!!! |
HajiaNotu:It's not only at teaching hospitals that doctors are overworked. Even after NYSC, most of the private practice jobs expect doctors to work schedules like 8am - 5 or 6pm everyday then do 48hrs straight every alternate weekend. Ask for how much? 350k - 500k, after 7-8yrs of studying and practicing. When on night, it's 5 or 6pm till 8am and still alternate weekends. The working conditions are very stressful. Some doctors with young families or many dependants have to take up 24/7 jobs just to meet up. |
It's better to cook and serve small food in your parlor after the wedding than this local restaurant set-up. I wish them the very best of a happy married life. |
Bylaw:It's most common during the compulsory post-training period, known as housemanship, or early in residency when you're training to become a consultant. The fact is that the hospital must be manned at all times, and if you don't do it, you can be prevented from moving forward in your career. The problem lies primarily with understaffing, and even then, rosters should be drawn up more fairly. Doctors need to be excused from work the day after calls, and calls should not exceed 36 hours max. |
Bylaw:What I described is the reality of a 72hrs call. Even the bath, if you have time, it's like a 5-10 minute shower. Not every shift will be so busy, but often you won't get the time to go off. If you take time to go far to do those things and any emergency happens, you get blamed for it by both your bosses and the patients and their relatives. Why do you think it is so exhausting that someone could die from it? |
Bylaw:Yes, that is the job. The most you can do is doze. If patients come, you get up. The first call I did, I dozed for only about 15 minutes on the 3rd day. It was an extremely busy shift. That is generally the nature of medical work. You can't sleep properly while on duty, and whatever you meet on shift, you handle it as it comes. In a teaching hospital, there are usually no slow periods. It is the last bus-stop for the worst cases, so no breaks. Even eating meals is difficult so I usually carried biscuts in my pockets because there was no time to leave to go eat. sometimes, you're on the toilet and they're looking for you. |
creolehunt:How many of your graduated doctors are practicing? If they don't japa, they go into tech or business. I see the job boards everyday. There are still several unfilled vacancies. |
Bylaw:Yes, it's 72 hours straight. I have personally done it several times. If you have to make time to sneak out and clean yourself, but really, no one cares. Officially, you are on the clock and responsible for all the lives and cases brought in. |
Neither is acceptable. Don't do to your spouse what you don't want done to you. Some people are susceptible to verbal abuse, as it can cause depression and lead to suicide. Physical abuse is intolerable. Simple! |
I agree with you. Getting traffic is the most important thing, especially if you're into affiliate marketing or sales. If you have a good and effective method, please share it with me. Thanks. |
AngelSlay:Look for another online hustle instead. What if you're at work in the restaurant and your remote boss needs you? |
Angie30:It won't work. The credit is specific to each meter. |
Mathewrichard99:The only use I have for them is to medicate addicts like yourself. |
