We've lost a true veteran of television in Nigeria, a consummate professional. Bitrus from Cock crow at Dawn and so many other dramas as well as our prolific newscaster. Rest in peace, Sir.

Politics / Re: FG To Sell Oil In Naira To Dangote Refinery by Emary(f): 1:11pm On Feb 28, 2021

So the price of crude oil in USD converted to naira exchange and paid in naira doesn't mean selling cheap to dangote refinery...The focus is on strengthening the naira, part of the problem we are having currently is that our currency is weak

I agree on strengthening the naira. The issue will be with conversion rates. The refinery is likely to get the crude at the most competitive bank rates but after refining locally, they plan to sell to us at international rates leaving a wide profit margin already.

You can go build or design your own. The owner of house and money has done what he likes your liking it or not is of not consequence or importance.. It's your opinion yes as the house is not yours or has anything to do with you why not keep it to yourself.

You could also keep your own opinion of my comment to yourself but you didn't. Kettle!

So the plan is to sell this man our crude at cheap rates, only for him to resell the refined products to us at even higher rates than importers currently do? Real monopoly. Well, at least after this, we should hear no more about subsidy.

It's very unfortunate how mannerless children like you have become. I have absolutely nothing to prove to someone like you who can't even write properly. The reason you only have bad experiences with Nigerian women is that you have nothing to offer them yourself, no personal value or prospects.

Beautiful but way too minimalistic for my taste.

For those attacking me, the reason I don't like the interiors so much is that it feels too empty. There are no flowers or pictures of any family, not even Don Jazzy himself. It's a beautiful structure but it lacks a homely touch.

Religion / Re: Can A None Catholic Go To Confession? by Emary(f): 9:25pm On Feb 25, 2021
Any baptized Christian may go to a Catholic priest for confession - or any Catholic minister for spiritual advice or pastoral counseling - anytime. ... For sacramental absolution, any Christian belonging to another church with valid sacraments (mainly Orthodox churches) is welcome anytime as long as it is of their own free will. You must be in the Church or have a desire to be in the Church to participate in the Church's sacramental life.

An unbaptized person cannot receive valid absolution from a priest. Likewise, a baptized Protestant cannot receive valid absolution unless they are in danger of death. This is because the sacrament of reconciliation/confession restores one to a state immediately after baptism.

Why don't you try ordinary kabu kabu without ac for a while and gather the funds before enslaving yourself by dropping the vehicle's particulars? There's no guarantee that the person will give them back to you easily without milking you dry first.
Education / Re: Why Is Dentistry With Medical Council In Nigeria by Emary(f): 2:59am On Feb 20, 2021
Cetacean419:

I mean podiatry is a specialise kind of Medicine of the feet which has been carved like dentistry over the years but Both are in separate associations independent of Medicine but here in Nigeria Dentistry depends so much on medicine. Ok ma please answer my question on number of admitted. In my Bro class there are only 36

I'm aware of what podiatry is, sir. We don't have a separate school for them here. All the medical students admitted for the same set will eventually split up into so many specialties after graduating.

The low number of admissions is a function of the school's capabilities to train the students. Dentistry is very hands-on, patients to properly practice on are few because we generally don't prioritize our oral health in Nigeria, and again, the dental chairs which patients sit in cost millions of naira each so they are few to train with.

I could say that of podiatry but guess Dentistry in Nigeria is just so dependent on medicine. The profession in Nigeria can't live up to expectations like other climes.

We don't study with podiatrists but you're entitled to your opinion.

But it is not Same in the us,uk, canada, ghana, egypt, south africa. Those countries have separate councils unlike Nigeria .

I'm aware but it's all formalities. Essentially, we do all basic courses together here and only separate for clinicals. Even then, we still have many shared courses.

But why are you people in the same association?

I just explained that we are all doctors despite the difference in names. Dentists, Paediatricians, Surgeons, Gynaecologists, etc, are all doctors despite the different names so we are all one body.

We train together and we are all medical doctors. A dentist is a doctor of the structures of the oral cavity including the teeth and jaws. They are not necessarily paid less as some dentists are extremely successful. It's just that people are less interested in preventive health here and are often unwilling to part with money for their teeth unless they are in pain.

Hello Nairalanders,

For those who have not been following my previous thread. There is a link for it below.

I thank everyone who encouraged, insulted me, advised me and lend their voices in the previous thread. You are all appreciated and God bless you all.

The last few days have been a total nightmare to me as I lost concentration and became uninterested in everything I normally do daily and lost confidence and half my of my weight.

I took the test because I wanted to be sure she is a changed person, have peace of mind, migrating my family abroad this year of which DNA evidence will be required of which I wont want to disgrace myself publicly. Despite the fact that none of the children bears any resemblance with me which was one of the many reasons I took the test.

After waiting for several days for the results to come in, they finally arrived. It is with gladness and joy in my heart, I announce announce the result of my paternity test. They all came back positive. All the children are mine with a 99.9% probability.

I became so happy that my family thinks I just won a lottery. I am a happy man today. As for my wife, I no longer care what she did in the past but for the fact that they are my children, I will love her forever.

I wont be able to talk further because she must not find out what I just found out she is a Nairalander. Peace-out and God bless you all.

The bank cannot keep your funds. They can only close the account and return your cash in full.
