Career / Re: Doctors And Lawyers, Who Speaks Better Grammar (photos) by Emary(f): 12:32pm On May 20, 2021
I'm a doctor and I agree that lawyers have a broader scope of language than many people in the medical field. The legal profession requires a basic knowledge of Latin which is the root of most European languages. This gives them an easier ability to grasp the meanings of words. A lawyer must grasp a basic knowledge of every possible field in order to properly defend his/her clients who come from all works of life.

However, some of us outside the legal profession have a vast vocabulary due to our wide scopes of interest.

Please, NCDC should never stop reporting cases for now. It was over-confidence that caused the Indian outbreak and very few Nigerians have been vaccinated. Help us stay alert, please.

This was the reason I refused to join the forces. Many of the men intimidate their female colleagues and sleeping with senior officers is expected. Even in NYSC camp, I was harassed.

Family / Re: How Do I Instill Boldness And Confidence In My Daughters? by Emary(f): 5:23pm On Apr 30, 2021
Hemanwel:
Good morning dear nairalanders!

I have two daughters: one will be 3 years old later in the year and the other will be 1 next month. I noticed that my first daughter is too timid. She gets easily frightened by her peers. She is quiet. She will allow just anybody to carry her - even those whom she is older and bigger than - without any resistance.

I really don't like these attributes about her. I want her to have the boldness to resist some of these things. I want her to be aggressive. I want her to grow up having confidence in doing things her way.
I also wish to instill that in the second child. Thank you!

No Itsnt ,maybe u are still a student, the figure for gov hospital is very wrong

It's either you're not reading correctly or you're purposely being antagonistic. He mentioned entry levels and minimum wages in all areas. He also didn't specify if it was federal or state. If you had an odd case who entered at higher levels, it doesn't mean you should generalise.

And for your info, I have been a doctor for a long time.

Lol, Itsnt as bad as this in Nigeria, the person that wrote this rubbish should at least do some research

I can confirm that these abysmal figures are correct which is why many of us don't focus much on practice or run to NGOs or go abroad.

Food / Re: Which Is Better For A Household? Bags Of Sachet Water Or CWAY Bottle Water by Emary(f): 10:22pm On Mar 23, 2021
ChefDominiq:
Hello friends,
I'm trying to cut cost these days trying to compare some stuff due to APC wahala and inflation
one of it is water.
Now, a bag of sachet water cost N150 while CWAY bottle water cost N550. which one is better to save cost for a household.
moreover how many bags of sachet water can be found in a CWAY bottle water.
Thanks

A bottle is 19litres which is just short of 2 bags so it's much cheaper to buy the bags. It's however much more hygienic and discourages wastage when one is using the bottle with a dispenser.

She’s a woman now, no extent of rehab can help her...That’s her fate, unfortunately.

If she was strong enough to stand for her faith initially, that person is in there. No one is beyond redemption unless there are given the chance.

you're 100% right. but have you ever protested to the government to rescue the girl? i know you have not, which means you're sick and depraved too for being selfish and refusing to acknowledged the truth like our leaders

No. The only sick and depraved person is you who is having sexual thoughts about an abused girl in captivity.

Thanks for this very informative thread. Apart from Sarah, I didn't know that so many Africans rose to prominence in recent European governments and even intermarried in Europe. So many of those claiming to be white today might be descendants of these great people.

It was 35k for a single room and 60k for the suite/night but it's negotiable for groups and corporate organizations. The use of all the facilities is included in the price excluding food and drinks.

I have been married for quite a while now. Tried TTC, went to specialist fertility hospitals. I and my husband did all fertility test it was all normal. We decided to go for IVF. DR saw our test and said i will be placed on stimulant immediately after seeing my results. After day 10 of stimms with several scans. I had more than 20 follicles. After the trigger shot. I went for egg retrieval and 5 days after 4 eggs were transfered for me. This is my day 3 after transfer. Waiting patiently on God

God has surely answered your prayers and perfected all that concerns you and your family in Jesus' name.
