Please step up your game bros. Guy, i know a lot of guys that live off women. Have you asked yourself how they accomplished that feat? Ladies run to them. The worst thing you can do is to whine. It's possible that she is still in love with you but you have to be a man.

Don't ask her anything. Pretend as if you don't even notice her. Don't allow your countenance to betray you. Don't ask her stupid questions like; who are you talking with on phone? where are you going to? where are you coming from? Who are you seeing? etc. Don't check her phone.

This is the right time for you to work on yourself. Devote your time to job search. Even if she leaves you, just step up your game and she will still crawl back to you as if she is your prisoner.

A woman who refused chemotherapy to save the life of her unborn baby has died of head and neck cancer.

The moment Stacie met her baby daughter, before passing away three days later
Stacie Crimm, 41, was told by doctors she would never be able to conceive - so discovering she was pregnant in March seemed a miracle.
But over the months that followed she began suffering from crippling headaches, tremors and double vision.
After being diagnosed with cancer she refused potentially lifesaving chemotherapy to save her baby's life.

In August she collapsed at her home in Ryan, Oklahoma, and was told the tumour had begun to grow around her brain stem.
Shortly afterwards the baby's heart beat began to drop and Stacie's own heart stopped 90 minutes later.
It was then doctors decided to resuscitate Stacie and deliver Dottie Mae by caesarean section, four months early and weighing just 2lb 1oz.


Her brother Ray Phillips, now caring for Dottie, told NewsOK: "We would show her pictures and she would cry and she would want to hold her baby.
"It was quite the ordeal. I felt helpless. I wanted to help her, I wanted to do what I could for her - we all did - but they had told us it was impossible for her to see the child."
However, nurses eventually managed to transfer Dottie to a capsule-like ICU so she and her mother could finally meet face to face.
She was laid on her mother's chest and the pair stared into each other's eyes.

Ray told NewsOK: "Nobody said anything, it got real quiet.
"It was the perfect moment, that's what I called it."
Stacie died three days later on September 14.
Dottie now weighs 5lb and has been allowed to leave hospital to live with Mr Phillips, his wife and their four children.

I am really disappointed in some of your posts above.

Bhati Airtel bought Zain Africa for $12 billion dollars or so. Bulk of their profit last year (around 60%) was made in Nigeria. Airtel gave Zain the condition to sack over 2,000 staffs last 2 yrs and outsource all their network operations to Telecoms vendors before they will agree to buy the Coy and Zain complied.

Airtel outsourced all it's network operations to LM Ericsson and Huawei. IT services was outsourced to other Coys.

Severance package for these affected staffs was nothing to write home about. They were really short changed after many years of input to the growth of the company.

NLC did the right thing. I am happy that they intervened. How many Nigerians are doing menial/odd jobs in UK and US? They are uncountable? Why? Because the Labour law of those countries.  

As i write, most of the Jobs we do in Nigeria has been taken over by Indians through Global Network Operations centre (GNOC ). This is the brain-child of Indians. They monitor Network equipments from India. This issue is affecting USA too. Many lost their jobs because of this same issue.

60% of salary reduction is evil and wickedness. I am not against foreign investment but there should be laws that will protect indigenous jobs.

I went to one Police Station in my village to get a police escort and what i saw there made me weep. To tell you the truth, I could not take the seat they offered me at the DPO's office. The furniture in that Police post were all torn to shreds and dusty. The whole place looks more like a Shrine than a police post.

I could see frustration on their faces. There is no difference between the detention Cell and the Police front desk. The Police men were looking haggard and hungry. The question is: Is the Federal government really funding Police or is it corruption that is eating deep into Nigeria Police Force?

Recent events in the North shows that Nigeria Police force is a failure. Corpers ran into a Police Station in Bauchi and still were lynched by irate Mobs. That shows the level of decay in Nigerian Police. The safest place to run to for safety became a cementary.

Facts have emerged on how Tomisin Teide, a corps member, was lain in the violence that rocked many states in the northern part of the country following the recent presidential elections.
Tomisin, 24, was posted to Giade Local Government Area of Bauchi State by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for his primary assignment after the orientation exercise at Wailo Camp last September.

An indigene of Osun State, he was among the 200 other corps members recruited as electoral officers by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to cover the 20 Local Government areas in the state. As it turned out eventually, those of them posted to the northern parts of Bauchi State like Katagum, Darazo, Giade, Dambam Jammare became the biggest casualties of the senseless riots that trailed the presidential polls as many of them were attacked and killed.

The Batch C, 2010 corps member ran to the police station in Giade to seek refuge as their lodge in Giade was attacked. The rioters attacked the station and overpowered the policemen on duty before setting the station on fire. They brought out Tomisin, a graduate of Computer Science from the University of Ilorin and about six other corps members and killed them. Daily Sun learnt from reliable sources that the female corps members among them were allegedly raped.

The discovery was corroborated by one of the rape suspects arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command and paraded among the 67 other suspects by the Commissioner of Police posted to the state for the general election, Mr. John Abakasanga in connection with the post-election violence. The suspect confessed in an interview with Daily Sun that he saw some of the female corps members being raped in Giade but did not participate in the act. A female corps member who miraculously escaped when the lodge was attacked told Daily Sun that she ran and climbed a tree where she hid before the police came and rescued her.

“It was a horrible thing to witness,” she said. “I will never wish even my enemies to meet this kind of death,” the corps member who also pleaded anonymity told our correspondent. She said that while Tomisin and some other corps members ran to the police station, she ran inside the bush. She displayed to our correspondent pictures of Tomisin which she took shortly before the police and other security agents came to rescue them. The horrifying pictures indicate that the deceased was inflicted with several machete cuts on his head and body leading to his death.“I ran out of my room barefooted in my underwear. I did not run to the police station with Tomisin and others.

“When I saw the crowd coming, I shouted and ran out and had to climb a tree. Somehow, they did not see me and I almost fainted on top of the tree,” she said. According to her, the news of her colleagues’ death shocked her beyond imagination.“He was a very nice person and carried everyone along. He did not deserve to die.”

Many of Tomisin’s colleagues and friends were shattered over his death and the killing of their colleagues.
According to the story, Tomisin was preparing a meal of beans when the attackers stormed the Corpers’ Lodge that Sunday afternoon. “They were carrying big sticks, machetes and chanting Sai Buhari, Sai CPC,” one of the corps members who was rescued by the police said. But Tomisin and six of his colleagues made for the police station to escape being lynched.

His friend and colleague who had been evacuated to Port Harcourt shared with our correspondent on phone his last moments with Tomisin. The deceased friend who pleaded anonymity said: “I spoke with him that morning and asked him to come to Bauchi to spend the weekend with me. He usually came to Bauchi to spend the weekend with me. I asked him to come to Bauchi as usual. I waited for his call but he did not call which was unusual. I tried his number but I could not reach him.

“I went to ECWA church in Bauchi to see a friend when another friend now called me to inform me that Tomisin had been killed in Giade. It was like a joke to me. I was told that he was at home at the lodge cooking beans when the mob attacked them and he ran to the police station. The policemen tried to disperse the mob but they refused. They even fired tear gas at them but they did not run. They now set the place on fire and killed Tomisin and the other corps member. I don’t know the number.”

He described the death of his colleague as shocking. He said: “We met in camp last September and became friends. He was a very lively person. Our last discussion was that he was coming to Bauchi. His dad was even trying to get him a job at NNPC. He also told me that he wanted to go for his post graduate degree after the service.”

Tomisin’s friend said he was posted to both Giade and Bauchi, the state capital as an electoral officer. “I was surprised to see two postings in my name so I settled for Bauchi since it was nearer and it is the capital. I never knew that it would become a killing field.”

Tomisin’s friend said that the parents were devastated by the news.
“I can say that the NYSC is a good scheme but the implementation is very bad. Corps members are just posted to places to serve but there is, in most cases, no careful plan for their welfare and security. It is very sad. As for me, I am through with the service. I am not going back to Bauchi for now. I will only go to that state to collect my redeployment letter or certificate.”

Jonathan suspends Interior minister

President Goodluck Jonathan has suspended the Minister of Interior, Emmanuel Iheanacho.

Mr Iheanacho has been directed to hand over to his counterpart in the Ministry of Labour, Emeka Wogu, who will, in addition to his present portfolio, oversee that ministry.

This development may be connected with the protests in some parts of the country after Mr Jonathan was announced winner of the presidential polls. It may also be seen as the beginning of an imminent shakeup of his cabinet.

The Imo State born minister, a retired Navy Captain, was appointed substantive Minister of Interior on April 6, 2010, when Mr.Jonathan, as Acting President, announced his new cabinet

A statement by the spokesman to the president, Ima Niboro, said that the suspension comes "as a result of a number of lapses in the political leadership of the ministry traceable to his personal and official conduct. For now, his continued manning of the ministry is not in the interest of the nation."

I forgave her but she repeated it again with a different guy. It used to be painful. A guy might cheat without attaching any emotion to it but there is no way a woman will cheat without putting in everything.

Presidential polls: Buhari meets Ciroma group today

Presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) General Muhammadu Buhari will meet with members of the G15 consisting of Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, Malam Adamu Ciroma, Atiku Abubakar and Gen. Aliyu Gusau, among others, in Abuja today, in furtherance of his efforts to expand the horizon of support for Saturday’s presidential elections.

Director General of the Buhari campaign organisation Alhaji Sule Hamma confirmed the meeting to Daily Trust yesterday but did not give details. “Yes I’m aware that they are meeting him [Buhari] today in Abuja to put heads together in order to ensure the emergence of a competent leadership with capacity to reform and to salvage Nigeria’s democracy,” he said.

A source close to the G15 also confirmed that the group is meeting with the General Buhari today to discuss the way forward concerning the elections. He also indicated that the Presidential candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) billed to meet with IBB in Minna any moment from today for talks on the elections.

The source who does not want his name in print also disclosed that former chairman of the Board of Trustees of the PDP Chief Tony Anenih has launched another attempt to get members of the G15 back on the negotiating table with President Goodluck Jonathan. He said Anenih had expressed regret that some inexperienced politicians close to the president were responsible for the initial misunderstanding between Jonathan and northern leaders.

After a meeting on March 24, the G15 and the Igbo Political Forum formally withdrew their support for the president, citing what they called his deceptive attitude in the series of talks held to find a common ground before the presidential elections.

The two groups were particular about the president’s failure to give a definite commitment on the issue of his exit in 2015 and where the presidency will shift to, saying it was an indication that he was not ready to quit in 2015. The meeting also set up a nine man technical committee to talk with presidential candidates willing to work with members.

G15 had met shortly before the botched National Assembly election of April 2 in Abuja but adjourned discussions until the first round of elections were held, Daily Trust learnt. Similarly, a series of meeting started among the three northern presidential candidates, General Buhari, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau of the ANPP and Malam Nuhu Ribadu was said to have been called off until after the legislative polls.

I am not a politician but i must say this: GEJ has done a great job. He has shown his credibility. He promised a free and fair election and he has done it. I will not be surprise to see people voting him massively for breaking PDP and it's godfathers. If you look at the result, you will see many parties without presidential aspirants winning some federal constituencies. The recent threat by Special Duties Minister, Navy Captain Caleb Olubolade (rtd), that the Federal Government may revoke the Abuja light rail project calls for concern by all stakeholders. The Nigerian government had signed a deal worth $840 million (about N133 billion today) in 2007 with the China Civil Engineering Construction Company for an intra-city rail system to solve the rising problem of traffic congestion in the federal capital and ease transportation between the city, its suburbs and satellite towns.

Funded jointly by the Federal Government and the Ministry of the Federal Capital Territory, the rail project is planned to connect the city centre, the districts and satellite towns with high-speed light trains ferrying thousands of commuters to and from their places of work, business or recreation. It is expected that, when fully in operation, about 1,000 persons will be moved by the rail coaches every few minutes.

The project, despite being dogged by the usual controversy over costs, processes and delays, is a worthwhile venture and should not be abandoned. Abuja certainly needs it to tackle the chaos that has crept into its transportation system. The existing facilities have proved inadequate to handle the population influx as road transport in the territory is gradually replicating the nightmare in Lagos, the former federal capital. A large and still growing urban conurbation needs a diversity of transportation modes and careful planning. Instructively, the original master plan for the FCT had envisaged a light rail project in anticipation of massive population growth.

Begun in 1976 and located in the central area of the nation, Abuja was carefully planned to be a well-laid-out urban centre. Abuja’s population grew from a few thousands in 1980 to reach about 403,000 in 2003 according to the United Nations while the 2006 national census put the population at 778,562. Experts even say more rapid migrations to the city have brought the figure to well over one million persons. Rapid population growth and increased commercial activities have since put tremendous pressure on the city’s buses, taxis and commercial motorcycles.

The Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology, Zaria, reckons that thousands of vehicles and one million passengers commute to Abuja daily from the satellite towns, suburbs and other states of the federation. Official sources say the real figures could be much higher. To tackle the problem, the FCT administration under a former minister, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, in 2005, banned commercial motorbikes (okada) from the city, restricting them to the satellite towns and suburbs; brought in over 600 buses in partnership with the private sector and launched a taxi cab system, while laying out plans for trams and the light rail system. But poor maintenance and funding have reduced the fleets. Traffic gridlocks are now common and residents commuting to and from the outlying areas face considerable hardship.

The ostensible reason for Olubolade’s threat to review the contract is that Nigerian engineers are allegedly not being employed by the contractor, CCECC. Head of a committee assessing federal projects, Alhaji Ibrahim Bunu, complained that the company had 1,500 persons on its payroll of which 100 were foreigners. Bunu and the minister were however irked that no Nigerian engineers were involved in the project. The 10 Nigerians described by CCECC as “engineers” were found to be artisans.

But was this clause built into the contract? While it is desirable, indeed, officials should insist, that Nigerian professionals be allowed on-the-job experience, it does not constitute sufficient ground to delay the LRT project. The government had already spent N27 billion on it by February this year and the money should not be allowed to go down the drain. Any issues or grey area in the execution should be decisively resolved with the contractor. The appropriate agencies should supervise and monitor the project to ensure that CCECC adheres strictly to the terms of the agreement.

The government should avoid repeating the grievous error it made with the Lagos Metroline project in 1984/85. Conceived in 1980 by Lagos State government under Alhaji Lateef Jakande, the $700 million Lagos Metroline contract was awarded to a French consortium and was planned to drastically ameliorate the Lagos traffic problems.

It was planned to carry up to 40,000 persons per hour to and from the suburbs and Lagos Island. But in a fit of arrogance, the Buhari-Idiagbon military junta that sacked the civilian government in 1984 finally terminated the contract in 1985. That avoidable policy somersault cost the Lagos tax payer $78 million in judgment debt and three more decades of prolonged traffic pains in the metropolis.

The Abuja LRT project must not go the way of the Lagos Metroline project which now requires $3 billion to complete what $700 million would have accomplished in the mid-1980s.

I thought BB said that NTA, Radio Nigeria etc are GEJ's property.

Maybe, BB has been advised rightly. Not attending that proposed Debate/Manifesto/interview was a great mistake on their part. The harm has been done.

I am not condemning any aspirant but i think GEJ should be given a chance.
