actually it's the other way round. the Se need Nigeria more than Nigeria needs the SE. you can tell this in migration patterns, the SE are the only ones who predominantly leave their zone to make a living...which means they cannot survive economically in their zones.

whatever businesses the SEterners have in other parts of Nigeria can be replaced by others but the market Nigeria provides for the Ibo businessmen cannot be replaced in the SE. Understand something, if you have no market for your goods, you have no business or at best a smaller business.

Answer these questions...where are the jobs in the SE, why are Seterners migrating every day to get jobs outside the SE, why do Se businessmen not invest in the SE, why do they have to go outside the SE to thrive? Why are all their investments especially property outside the SE?

The population of Lagos Colony was analysed into 'Yoruba' and 'Non-Yoruba' tribes:

1. Eko tribe had fallen from 57% in 1872 to 23.6% 20 years later.
