I reckon this whole issue is probably a case of fostering/adoption gone wrong, or done through the wrong channels.....as with most things in Nigeria! The fact the children were known where to be found as well as the people involved in the 'kidnapping' being known.....this helps to buttress my assertion. There's a strong possibility that the parents willingly gave up the children and some purist northern moslems heard of what was happening and weren't happy moslem kids were taken to the south and being converted to Christianity!
