PoliticsRe: Atiku: Sell Presidential Jets, Cancel N27bn National Assembly Renovation Fund by EmekaMD(m): 8:51am On May 15, 2020
I mentioned these as my reasons why I objected the plea for IMF to cancel our national debts.

Why should they cancel our debts when our president and his daughters fly on 10 different private jets while the leaders of the western world fly on commercial planes.

They want to spend 25b on a national assembly building that is as good as new. When our hospitals lack the basic facilities.

This is why I will never be convinced to pay taxes on my free volition.
If they catch me they should collect it by force otherwise no show for them.
I'm not interested in funding their expensive lifestyles.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Begs IMF, World Bank To Cancel Nigeria’s Debts by EmekaMD(m):
Why I think the IMF must ignore Buhari's plea and insist on Nigeria repaying the debt
1. You don't borrow to buy cars worth billions for the national assembly and be expected to be forgiven
2. You don't ride on 10 private jets and budget billions for non existent aso clinics and be forgiven
3. You don't borrow to sponsor ur expensive lifestyle while the people that lend you the monies are being frugal yet you expect them to turn the other eyes.

The only way to keep them responsible is to insist they repay what they borrowed. Imagine if they know they'd always be forgiven each time they borrowed.

Nonsense

obviously you added some new words to ur bag of vocabularies: acute and chronic. But you're yet to use them accurately.

This is why the Churches should be open...

There is Little or Nothing the Government can do now...

Nigeria has had Ebola, Cholera, Lassa fever, HIV aids, Tuberculosis, etc we didn't lock down...

No African Nation is supposed to be on Lock down.. Our Leaders just copied what the Americans and Europeans were doing..

Africa is different Continent ! We have always had a way of Sorting out these things..

The Church has been a Major Help in things like this in Nigeria..

Let's stop Decieving ourselves.... We are not Americans, Americans are not us..
why so much about opening churches ? Are you one of those fake miracles workers waiting for Corona to go so you'd start curing sickness ?
PoliticsCovid-19: How Can They Stay At Home When The Hunger Virus Is At Home. by EmekaMD(op): 8:16am On Apr 24, 2020
Two main pandemics at the moment we are fighting......

1. Coronavirus
2. Hunger virus.

Two main group of people at the moment fighting the the pandemics......

1. The Rich and
2. The poor.

The the global irony and the African outlook......

The rich is afraid of the virus.

The poor is afraid of hunger.

The rich wants the poor to stay home to avoid the spread, but hunger won't allow the poor to stay home.

The poor fears that if they stay home, the hunger virus will kill them.

The rich fears that if they also come out of their homes the coronavirus will kill them.......

What a delicate situation we have .........

Opinion:
In other to restore the world or Nigeria to it's normal social equilibrium.

The rich should assist the poor with food, so that they can stay at home.

When the rich succeeds in keeping the poor at home by providing enough food.

The spread of the coronavirus which the rich fears the most will be chased out!

This is common sense.....Yet because some people have the microphones, all you hear is ...... “stay at home”.......... “stay at home” .

How can they stay at home when the hunger virus is at home.

fight coronavirus
fight Hunger```

Politics41 Books Every Nigerian Historian Must Read by EmekaMD(op):
I've only read a couple of these books. About 10 or so and trust me they're very compelling.

Read these books and I guarantee your views would change on both divides.
The pro-Biafrans would understand that war is not an option after reading these, and the pro-one Nigerian groups would see reasons why the Biafra struggle is a valid one.

Maybe only when we start reading and learning our histories that we would start being more tolerant to our varying opinions

In my opinion the worst mistake the Nigerian academic system ever made was removing history from the curriculum.
There's an old saying that "he who does not where he is coming from would never know where he is going "

I think that lack of proper history has robbed us of the true reflection of what really transpired and so each divide tells their kids only the part of the story where it favors them. Almost every country had had their moments of civil wars but one thing they never did was try to conceal the true stories.

An old saying "when we're talking we are not fighting, but its only when we stop talking that suspicion and mistrust sets in". That's actually when we start fighting.

Maybe we'd have been more tolerant of one another if we knew our history and the things we did wrong in the past.

I hope we do have a good read.

Readers are learners they say

Have you read any of these beautifully written accounts ?

PoliticsRe: Coronavirus: Don’t Extend Lockdown, NLC Tells FG by EmekaMD(m):

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram: Shekau Ready To Surrender - Military Says by EmekaMD(m): 3:09am On Apr 22, 2020
Litmus:
Or, quite simply, Boko used to hide in Chad but since Chad no longer wants to protect them and indeed chased them back to Nigeria, Boko has nowhere to hide, making it possible for Nigeria to catch them. Indeed, what makes this idea more salient is the fact that Nigeria only pushed for the establishment of Multinational Forces approach with neighbouring countries, precisely because, earlier, Boko used to flee Nigeria to take sanctuary in Niger, Chad and Cameroon and Nigeria was unable to pursue them there because of international territorial sanctity laws .

Without international support, which Chad and others ignoring the presence of fleeing terrorists in their territory is part, Nigeria would long ago have defeated Bokoharm.
you also forgot to add that Nigerian government is busy granting them amnesty and giving them lots of money without further tracking the activities of the ones they release. This would only mean that they'd go back to rejoin and kill more and more soldiers
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram: Shekau Ready To Surrender - Military Says by EmekaMD(m): 3:06am On Apr 22, 2020
NigerianSage:
Chad supporters always forget to tell us that Chad was sleeping on duty and couldn't repel when BH attacked and slaughtered 92 Chad soldiers, but they want us to rejoice and celebrate because lazy Chad that couldn't repel the attack that killed 92 solders finally decided to pick up their guns and do their job.

Nigerian soldiers are not lazy and useless like chad soldiers because they fight and kill BH everyday, they didn't just wake up yesterday like the useless people in chad to confront BH.

And these are the unpatriotic and ungrateful people our brave soldiers are sacrificing their lives for.

Ungrateful lots.
it took Chad only the death of 92 soldiers to wipe out Bokoharam almost.
Do you wanna know how many Nigerian soldiers that have died in this war already ? Probably a thousand or more yet there're still releasing their killers to keep killing them more and more.

My problem is with the top generals and the ruling northern elites. Not even an ordinary soldier who is being killed day in and day out. I sympathize with those
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram: Shekau Ready To Surrender - Military Says by EmekaMD(m):
Brutai and his men have been fighting Bokoharam for many years without any traceable improvements.

Chad soldiers pushed one major offensive and Bokoharam got dismantled.
Then Brutai immediately relocated to NE.
And today Shekarau wants to surrender, something that wasn't foreseeable until now.

My verdict is..

1. Chadian army has disbanded and weakened Bokoharam, and so Shekarau is at the verge of being captured. And his capture would exposed many grey areas including the sponsors to Bokoharam. So Brutai quickly goes in to do the capturing himself and make sure all that needed to be concealed are not exposed .

2. Another option is they'd have Shekarau turn himself in and be given first class treatment and eventually released as a repentant. We've seen lots of these already.

3. Worst case scenario he'd pretend Shekarau wants to surrender, and orders his soldiers to cease fire for negotiations. This would offer Shekarau more breathing space to recuperate and reorganize again. After all Bokoharam is a business venture Brutai and the elite north would never want to lose.

If you think I'm being pessimistic wait till time proves me wrong

Sounds more sinister to me.

Yesterday Chad massacred Bokoharam
Today Brutal relocation to Northest.

To do what exactly ? To regroup Bokoharam and arm them better?
