Bro sorry to say this but country is dead. Everybody is just picking up his bags and baggages. We are just postponing the crashing date, there is no lagacy to leave in a flight that's about to crash. The best that could come out of it is that the pilot tried to keep the plane afloat with one engine.

I still maintain my position in this debate that cyber crime is better than kidnapping and armed robbery. At this stage, it impossible to eliminate crime and in fact its going get worst since, economy is getting worst. I tell you, cyber crime is a more peaceful crime that other beasty kind of crimes, let us just face reality.

Again, about short cut and working hard... Every road has a short cut even success itself. In Nigeria, the leaders have made it difficult to succeed by hardwork that's why they stick to politics and never want to leave power. Imagine going from Lagos to Abuja on gear one alone, you will end up burning all the fuel and you won't still get to Abuja that's the environment our leaders created. They did not even give us the option to change gear unlike, where you just board a flight and within 1hr you are there... That's the short cut.

They enjoy how we worship them because, they steal our money and intimidate us with it. On the other hand in order not to worship them, of course I have to make my own money and since there is no environment for that, I will have to look for shortcut. Since, I don't want to carry guns or Robb people I will still look for another short cut and just like that it goes to cyber crime. I am just emulating the mind of a yahoo boy... Why we found ourselves in this mess.

Like you said, no justification for crime.. But if you watch natgeowild you will see that God created animals to survive by all means irrespective of the consequences. Crime is crime but some crimes are much better than others

to be honest you made a very strong arguement here. granted..

But can you imagine a society where everyone has given up on doing legitimate jobs? Where everyone has chosen to resort to "lesser crimes" as you put it? What would the fate become?

You see many people have succeeded and are still succeeding in Nigeria.. eg check out the hardworking guys in the music industry, comedy, Nollywood. The honest traders in main market and alaba intl market. The numerous enterprising young Nigerians who despite all odds didn't give up on legitimate earnings..

You can give up on Nigeria, I won't blame you for that (I don't even have any faith in Nigeria too) but don't give up on doing what is right. Don't give up on legitimate means of livelihood because that is what that endures.. that is the wealth that lasts.
Like I said success is built one block over another.

And don't forget that the people Yahoo boys scam are humans too. They have feelings and they bleed too.
Some of them lose their life savings and commit suicide as a result. So you see the Cascade of reactions that could results from a supposedly simple internet scamming may end up taking lives and more
