I need a sound minded Muslim to give a logical reason or reasons as to why Islam followers love to obstruct and hinder people's movements by blocking major roads especially on Fridays all in the name of prayers.

it's not our plan to do that, it's just a circumstances we found our self in that causes that. we apologize for any discomfort cause to you, but u will do the same if are in our situation. as a matter of fact I have seen in different locations were Sunday worship in church also cause hold ups.

the truth is dis....... our Friday prayers is obligatory and the most important of all prayers just like Sunday worship in church. but unlike Christians who have specific churches to attend their Sunday worship that's is not the case with Muslim, Quran instructed us to gathered every Friday in a bigger central mosque in our area, which means we all in that area have to leave the small mosque in our street and go the central mosque in the area. which is why u always see the smaller mosque in every area closed every Friday, bcoz everyone is going to the central mosque. now imagine all the Christrians have to leave their church in an area (let's say agege) and gathered in one church in the area and worship at the same time, am sure no matter how big the church is it wouldnt be able to take 40% of the Christians in that area and the remaining 60 percent would be left outside.

that is the dilemma we are facing as a Muslim it's not our wish to cause traffic. same thing happened to me yesterday, I dnt like been late for Friday prayers bcoz I like to pray inside the mosque, but unfortunately I was late yesterday ,so inside the mosque is full, the remaining space around the mosque is full and I had to pray on d road.

First of all, the population Christian and Muslims in Jo's is 60/40%. Secondly, there are so many mosque and churches like this in the north.
Thirdly, the amount of churches in the north cannot be compared to South. If u haven't been to d North dnt just assume statistics dat u dnt know.

Well, actually its all a combination of my knowledge of the word of Allah in the Torah, old testament, my life experiences and other peoples experience, it says in the bible that we should resist the devil and he will flee from us and that the righteous is as bold as a lion, from my past experience in Christianity it is generally believed that when you are afraid of the enemy, they get stronger and you give them strength over you and fear is actually lack of faith in Allah, you are afraid Allah will not keep His promises to protect you and that may lead to what you fear happening because you cannot walk with Allah without faith, its actually an insult to God if you are afraid of things you can pray about, its doubt in Allah, also I have had to ward off the enemy a lot because I hear spiritual voices a lot and the enemy has threatened to kill me several times but I always counter their pronouncements with the word of God such as psalm 118:17 , ishahia54:17, prov26:27etc, sometimes the enemy tell me if you do this you will die, I just reject it with the word of God and do that thing like when I left the church where I spent 14yrs after I discover its an evil church, the enemy threatened to kill me if I live and I saw spirit of death following me around, I had to pray and received psalm 27 then to counter them, note that the word of Allah anywhere is powerful either Torah, injeel or the Quran, and a well rounded Muslim must read the bible regularly now I'm cramming the Quran fast and also reading the English version to know what Allah says, if you read the English meaning of that suratul nas you will understand its appropriate and powerful, also lakadijakul, its very powerful and all these surah works, I'm actually writing a book now explaining things like this to help new converts and any one that need help, you know the Quran is purely the word of God throughout, no sentence in it from any man, its very powerful to cram and use, even your soul can never be touched by evil if you feed on the Quran daily and cram it, my sister Islam is a treasure I found and I'm basking in the joy of it, its total deliverance and eternal blessing that's why with the illiteracy and backwardness of the north they will always lead us, Islamic nation is the richest in the world, the lowest cancer rate in the world is an Islamic nation, shaitan knows this so he created all those terror group to discourage people from Islam, Alihamdulilah mercy found me.

I have been following u since u converted to Islam, and u have made a beautiful progress. It's amazing the knowledge u have acquired during this short period and u are willing to learn more. May Allah guide u more.....

We know that Allah created the Jinns and we can't see
them in this world. Most Jinns are Kuffaars (disbelievers

Since we can't see them how can we be sure of whatever they tell us. There are many instances whereby Jinns lie to Raaqi. Since the Raaqi can't see them, how can he be sure of whatever they tell him.

For example : A Raaqi whom I know very well(Alhaji Isa Akindele) once said "while he was performing a Ruqyah for someone, the Jinn told him that he has been alive from the time of Prophet Sulaymaan(Alayhis Salaam).

After few months during another Ruqyah session for another person, Alhaji Isa asked the jinn how true the claim of the former jinn is concerning their(Jinns) life span. The Jinn replied that the former Jinn is a liar that Jinns don't live long like the claimed life span. He also told him how long the oldest of them usually live. "

There are many occasions whereby Jinns will claim to have left his victim's body, but he hasn't. Shaykh ibn Taymiyyah said they can be deceiving to the extent that they will hide in the toe of their victims and the Raaqi will be reciting the Ruqyah up there while he doesn't know that the jinn is not close to hearing what he's reciting.

No raqi will tell u that they believe 100% watever jinn tells them, it's not only jinns that are liars humans are too. Wat we do is to deduct whatever make sense and throw the rest in thrash. There's no way u can perform a ruqyah and say u will not believe whatever they say, it's better u dnt do ruqyah then.

If u r intelligent there's a way u catch them wen they lie. Eg wen a jinn say he is a Muslim, there are questions u ask him to verify that, and u will recite the verse of hypocrites burning at the lowest depth of hell fire, he will burn and confess.

So u have no point their, we all know jinn are liars it's not a breaking news.

And please if u have not performed ruqyah pls show respect to raqi's its not an easy job they are risking everything dear to them to help pple. Including family, children, jobs, life everything.

That's why when Sheikh AbdulQadri Jilani (ra) encountered Jinn during his journey of "tassawuf", he would say to shaytan who disguised as God "auzubillah mina shaytan rojim" and he disappeared.

When it comes to dealing with Jinn, it should be only those who are firmly grounded in know of fiqh. Knowledge should proceed everything. There is no way a Muslim especially devoted ones would not encounter shayateen through their journey of ihsan.

True, at some point in ur spirituality journey u must encounter shaiytan perhaps it's a test from Allah to test ur resolve, an many has failed d test.

Also am not sure if auzu bilahi is sufficient anough all the time, because some of those jinn might be a hypocrite Muslim sometimes.

Babs87,may Allah reward you abundantly. The topic JINN is one I'm very much interested in. I have read many texts and listened to enlightening lectures on it. I still have the cassette of a very educative lecture on JINN titled THE WORLD OF THE JINN delivered in New York by Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips, the Jamaican-born Islamic scholar. The lecture exposes many things about the world of the JINNS.There are other books on it.
In fact, my knowledge of the world of the JINN strenghtens my faith in Islam. I have had a personal experience. A very close family member was attacked by JINN. The Jinn appeared to her in dream and told her he was God. He told her many things things, including not to observe 5 daily prayers again; that five daily prayers have been overruled. Also she was told by the creature(telling her he was God) that Qur'an outlived its usefulness and should not be followed again(may Allah save us from this).The story is very long but I'll cut it short because it makes me cry whenever I recount it. Unfortunately, the creature was able to convince her, and she now believes she's a prophet,that God spoke with her. We noticed change in her attitude to and speech about religion, but did not know what was happening until around August 2002.
I will not mention the relationship between me and this person, but we lived under the same roof while I was growing up. It was a very pathetic story.
I was the first person in the family to know that the problem with this person was a case of JINN attack. It was in 2002 and I had just read the book FUNDAMENTALS OF TAOHEED(ISLAMIC MONOTHEISM) by Dr. Bilal Philips. In the book he described briefly how JINNs operate to mislead people. His description was exactly what I observed in this person. I raised alarm in the family that the person was under JINN influence. I was just a small boy of 20 then, and a 200 Level OAU student, they all thought I was saying rubbish.
Alhamdulilah, through recitation of Quranic verses on this person, she got better. But I must say that incidence spurred me to do research on the topic JINN. I read many Islamic texts and listened to schloarly lectures on the topic. It exposed me to many things, and I must say it sealed my faith that Islam is indeed the true religion. Tears usually flow from my eyes whenever I'm discussing this topic, because iI wonder how my life and belief would have been if I'm ignorant of this JINN. I came to know that Juju and magic work by way of these invincible creations called Jinns. I came to know that it is true that all these Christian miracle-workers, the deviant Muslim alfas and the babalawos employ nothing but Jinn. I came to know that people that claim that God speaks to them actuallyand truly see and hear something, but definitely not God. They are seeing Jinns deceiving them as God or Jesus or even Muhammad(yes, anybody that says he sees Muhammad in dream, and tell him to do something not done by Muhammad when he was alive, ahs definitely seen another thing,not Muhammad).
Babs, I'm ready to contribute actively to this thread. I've read quite widely and has experienced real-life cases to contribute to this thread. Let's educate our brothers and sisters so taht they will not fall victim of agents of accursed Shaytaan(jinns) who has promised to do all possible to mislead Muslims.

I have a very limited knowledge about the spiritual world.
I have had the incident of report that Angels came to assist us in ruqya. On one of the occasions the angel said he was sent by Allah to assist us. We were confused and sought advice. A more experience brother advised we recited suratul Mas'ad, to our surprise the angel was burnt but the Surat.
My advise is that whenever we see any "Angel" please let's treat them as jinn until we are sure otherwise.

U are right, I totally agree with you, dats one of d tins I preach too, that if u deal with this creatures u have to be very careful, because dat realm is a deceptive world, anyone can take a form an claim something to u, not just jinn claiming to be angels but shaiytan having d same claim. And I cannot honestly confirm what I saw is angels, in fact u can't confirm anything as fact in the spiritual realm, more so wen an angel tells u he is an angel, common sense will tell me he is lying, because from my experience angels dnt talk to humans, they dnt talk to u or explain themselves to u, they hav no business with u, they dnt even look at u. They are like a programed robot sent to do something, then leave immediately they are done without explaining who they are who sent them, why they came to help. In fact u can hardly even described them because they ar just light and so bright that u can hardly look straight at them to observe.

even so, I still can confirm they are angels, Allah knows best, i think it's better to live it at that, knowing or confirming it is not important. I believe Allah has several creation dat we can't see and once he probably never mentioned it could be any of them. Wen I see something it's easier to just refer them as what am already conversant with based on d description giving. Allah knows best.

Lastely, since I trespass in dat realm all the time unconsciously. I just narrow down my believe to, " I dnt believe anything I see their except their is evidence in the Holy book" because, like I said b4 it's a deceptive world their, so if u believe u can see angel, a jinn can come to u and say am an angel, or if u believe u can see God, shaiytan can com and claim to be God. They can read ur mind clearly just d way we read books, so they use Wat u want or believe, what u wish etc to trick u. So it's possible the raqi believe angels comes to help during ruqyah and they see dat as a weakness to trick him.

May Allah guide us to the straight path and manage our daily affairs in d best way.

The point I was trying to make from d post is nt about going to pray in d grave because most of us here have d required knowledge to knw that's shirk. But my main focus was about the pious man himself whom the jinn used and still using him after he is gone. It's a big lesson for pple who call jinn for help.

There are so many hadiths that relates what the Prophet usually say after Solah! If have evidences that are authentic bring them and not "baba sope" blind following any Sheikh or past Imam or Muslim Cleric!

I dnt follow any sheikh because I dnt trust any or even hadith except few. I adhere strictly to d Quran dat is d luv of my life.

As for iyepe tite or sand, the basic principle of that is, it is hisab (mathematics) and math is not shirk, is it?. There is no Jinn there telling them this or that unless individual is doing something else.
