I agree with you. But then, their stand is very dangerous too because it is like changing words of Allah. It doesn't matter what any Alfa does. That doesn't mean they have to give change the meaning.

Like I said this religion of ours is a tough one, plus we r too strong headed.

On the issue of using animal like lizard, frog. We all know wat they use it for, they use it to make spiritual ring, that one can use to fight or catch women or protection. And they use to make love charms. Basically they use it to make silly things.

But like u said if they use it for herb to cure one who is sick it would have been better. But we all know dats not it.

One of my sheikh told me that, just like praying un-obligatery prayers are very rewarding. So is avoiding the doubtful things that are neither haram nor halal.

I just don't understand how they have hard time digesting. But I know why some insist they are jinn.

They insist because they want to criticize the use of magic by some Alfa which is true. Reason for this is because, I watch argument and counterargument few weeks ago in the use of reptiles for medical benefits.

First argument said the of use stuff like chameleon, frog etc is sihr and it is the jinn they consult to get the job done and he cited Q2:102


Second guy argued that everything is not about jinn. That something similar was revealed to the angel in the same Ayah that is similar or identical but different and good. Like pharaoh's magicians and Musa(as).

But this lecture I listened to yesterday also instructed listeners to check with ibn khatir. But when I checked ibn khatir, he said the opposite which is Harut and Marut are Angels.

No doubt the Ayah was revealed to condemn sihr but it is more than that from my perceptive.


Another argument is that those two Angels were humans. That's, Angels who questioned Allah and they were sent down from heaven and then they were tried by a beautiful woman. I have learned this since childhood. This story is coming from yahud which Christians called "falling Angels". I don't believe the idea of falling Angels. This contradicts the nature of Angels because they do not disobeyed by their nature.


So correct view is they are Angels and they taught no evil. Rather, they received wahi(REVEALATION).

You know this religion of ours is a very tough one, and I sometimes don't blame some our scholars, it may be that there are group or a sect in Islam that are using this harut and marut verse to justify the reason why they do sihr, and so some scholar want to counter attack dat argument. But even then u can't use wat happen during time of suleiman to justify wat u are doing during the time of Muhammad ummah.

But i dont understand why some always misinterpret the ayah. I just watched a video just where the Ustaz preached thought provoking lecture condemning Oogun (sihr) and break it down in various forms as practiced especially in Yorubaland. I honestly agree with him. I dont even do non of the oogun(sihr) anyways. Never did.

But i am just wondering why they always say Harut and Marut are Jinn. That they were the one that thought people magic. This is wrong interpretation. I am not saying this to condemn the Ustaz. I support his message bcus sihr is too damn much in Nigeria to the point that even ogun that are fair are also considered shirk. I prefer adhkar generally. That's enough.

But in this ayah Baqarah 102 clearly said Harut and Marut were Malaikat at Babylon that Allah revealed something similar but they did not teach men sihr(magic). This is the ayah again

And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah . And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if they only knew.

U see, it is very clear, and ibn kathir also agreed that they were angels, but only came to trial the people and they didn't teach anyone until they say we're only for trial do not use this for evil.
I think most people just have a hard time digesting the fact that they are angels. Who Allah sent down as a trial for people.

as for number 10, it is correct, Jinn cannot see d angels but can hear or listen to them when they go up to steal information for the magicians and sorcerers

But how do u listen to wat u cannot see, how would u know where they are then. Jinns have hierarchy, according to how powerful they are. Perhaps there are some who can see angels.

how can anyone argue about the importants of dream, they must lack basic Islamic knowledge, haven't they heard about the dream of firouna of yusuf's time, or the two prisoners dream and how yusuf interpreted them.
it is also very well document in hadith, that the prophet use to ask his companion, if they had any dreams so that he can interpret them.
this are basic Islamic knowledge that all Muslim should know, u shouldn't argue with anyone who dnt know this tins.

weeks ago I had a dream, that I went to night party, an was chased an short at with arrow, I was worried because one of the arrows hit me. but I stop going to parties like 15 years ago so I was finding it hard to interpret d dream until the next day a close friend came to invite me to his bachelor's eve. and I already know my answer is a big NO. if I had dismiss d dream only Allah knows wat would have happened.

sometimes a short dream b4 waken up for work and u already have answers to the tough question ur boss is going to ask you.

dreams are important but understanding them urself is key, bcoz everyone 's dream has unique interpretation. but if u don't u can always seek someone who is knowledgeable about dreams interpretation.

I am only giving out this zikrs so you can see what I was engaged in that got me attacked the second time.
So I had the second dream where I saw myself and some other people shackled at the ankle with chains like those you see in slave/prisoner movies and we were put in a low row, one behind the other and ordered to walk or across a very vast expanse of land with very little vegetation, almost like a desert.
The "master" began to rough handle one of the captives and flogged her which got me riled up and so spoke up; saying that what he was doing was quite wrong and that he should not treat another human being like that. He was backing me while i said this oh! So he slowly turned around and everyone went silent. He asked who just said that and no one answered. My heart was pounding uncontrollably by this time.
He asked again, this time shouting who just said that and then the others slowly pointed at me while I raised my had up to signify that i was the one.

His eyes bulged out with rage and he said:"today, I will make an example of you so that others will learn not to do what you have just done!"
He then stepped back a bit and put his had inside hid agbada/babanriga as if to bring out something, all the while with a very, very wicked smile on his face. I could not control my heart racing anymore.

All of a sudden, I saw/felt 3 men descend from up above and stood near me. The spoke to me in a very calming voice that had a profound effect on my heart; which responded by beating at a regular pace.
The three men said to me: "do not fear this man but fear only Allah. This man cannot do anything to you.
And then they said this to me: ("Now say towards his direction": "Authu bikalimatillahi ta'ammati min kulli shaytain wa hammati wa minkulli 'aynan lamma!)

Subhanallah!!!! this is the same as #9 above!!!!

So i began to recite it but in a timid voice and while reciting it, the man got something that looked like a living breathing fireball and threw it at my direction. The fireball reached halfway and then exploded in the air!!! Totally destroyed!!!! Allahu Akbar.
Thie man had a surprised look on his face and he quickly put his had again inside his agbada to retrieve another fireball.
Meanwhile, the three men encouraged me in a very calming voice to increase my voice as i am reciting and have complete yaqeen in Allah. One of them even said to me "do not have any doubt in your heart about the power of Allah. Have complete faith in him and recite!"
So I recited the second time with my voice getting louder and then the second fireball approached my way. This one was just blazing...it looked like a moving hell! Liver failed me as soon as I saw it approaching and the men next to me were just telling me, "recite, recite, recite, recite..."
Wallahi, the second fireball exploded in the air!
Now this got the evil man extremely mad! His eyes turned dark with rage and then he bagan to incant in a very very angry and loud voice! The incantations got me terrified because it was as if they had a life of their own, subhanallah! He was pointing directly at me while incanting and then all of a sudden, he turned towards the other prisoners who were just watching the whole thing and told them to look at how he would finally end me!
The three men kept telling me, have no fear, Allah is with you, fear only Allah and keep reciting!
So I was reciting as the evil man kept chanting and then he put his hands inside his agbada for the third time and brough out even a more massive and agry looking fireball! I picked up courage and raised my voice as high as I could with that dua/zikr. I was looking at the man point blank in the eye and at this point had no more fear in my heart!
He threw his fireball and it exploded in the air. He looked in disbelief at me and was about to reach inside his agbada once more when the three men commanded me to pick sand from the floor and recite the dua on it and quickly throw in his direction.
I did this and lo and behold! The man turned into stone/compact sand, still with the disbelief/surprise written on his face.
The prosoners were all still in shock and and then they all bent to unlock thier ankle chains and fled. Meanwhile, I was still reciting as all this was going on...

Then I woke up and found myself reciting this dua in a very loud voice!!! I could not stop reciting! My husband had to wake up and ask me what was going on before I managed to calm down. I could feel the love and presence of Allah that whole day. I thanked Him for helping me through an ordeal that would have easily resulted into something else! I am not sure If the three men were angels or not, but I do know that their presence was so calming, soothing and the way they spoke to me gave me enough "liver" to face the evil before me.

This particular dua/ zikr has been a staple for me ever since that dream. That was the first time in my life that I would boldy face evil and win! All the other times, I would wake up defeated and realy sad and scared. But not this time, Alhamdilillah!

I have taken my time to narrate this particular dream of mine so that you all know with certainty that the zikrs/duas we do are never in vain! They always count for something. Detractors will remember you as soon as they see these kinds of changes in your life and do everything in thier power to stop you. They won't announce themselves, so be prepared, always.

Shaitan's tricks and plots are many and he doen't want the light of Allah in you nor does he want to see you grow spiritually; so we ask for Allah's assistance, always.

I am not so conversant with the quran like a sheikh or alim, but just someone who knows enough not to joke with the spiritual aspect of ones life. It is a daily struggle for me as one may want to slack, and I continously ask Allah to help me in my endeavours and may He assist you all too, Amin.

I understand the meaning of the dream very well. it is well, I bet if u continue with this Zikhr specially in d night, u began to see the realm of realty, an more. ur act of deed should be pure too

I'm not sure if this is the right post to tell this my story, but here goes:

Sometime in October 2017, I decided to get a bit more serious with my zikrs, ie do more of them and I did truly begin. Then a few day later, I got attacked in my sleep.
I saw a dark screen/curtain made out of smoke and could not make out the face of the person at the other end of the screen, but I could tell it was a male through his voice. He stealthily advanced from the shadows towards the black smoke screen and he had a bluish grey pigeon in his hands which he aimed at me while saying in an angry voice "This is for you!" and then threw the pigeon towards me, aiming directly for my heart. The speed of the pigeon approaching was so fast and forceful, I said within myself that if this thing enters me, then I'm in trouble.
So something told me to tilt my body a bit and the bird ended up hitting just the tip of my collar bone which made me exclaim and I jumped up from the dream to hear my next door neighbour's dog growling ferociously...this is something it had never done. It is a very calm dog and usually minds it's business on a daily basis. So I knew that it definitely was seeing something. The dog kept growling at whatever it was for a good fifteen minutes while I dashed to go perform wudu and say a few prayers.
I was somehow overcome with fear as I heard a voice within me telling me to "pipe down" on my zikrs. I though about it for a while and I knew this was shaitan at work. There and then; I committed to even increasing my zikrs while thinking that who should I fear, Allah or this thing that is hiding behind a smoke screen?
I was at it continuously (zikrs) for another 4-5 months and then another strike...

I believe u, I experienced the same thing few yrs ago when I gave life to Allah and rededicated my self to serving him, they attack me and got tired because the power of Allah is too mighty, I even converted few of them. now they can't come near any where I'm.

Shaytaan is a crafty enemy, he is keen to misguide people and to make them doubt. The more you seek the help of Allah, learn about your enemy and be prepared to face him, the more you will be victorious over him.

FACTS ABOUT SHAYTAAN

* Shaytaan has offspring. Q 18:50

* He shares with man wealth and children. Q17:64 Q55:56, Tafseer al-Qurtubi, 10/289. Some of the scholars said that Allaah created a penis on his right thigh and a vagina on his left thigh, so he impregnates himself in this manner and ten eggs are laid every day, from each of which emerge seventy male and female devils. Adwaa’ al-Bayaan, 4/133-135. Many of the mufassireen said that also included in the Shaytaan’s share of wealth and children is neglecting to say Bismillaah when eating, drinking or having intercourse; IF ONE DOES NOT SAY BISMILLAAH WHEN DOING THOSE THINGS, THE SHAYTAAN HAS A SHARE IN THEM, as was mentioned in the hadeeth. * He is the father of all of the jinn, both the believing and disbelieving ones among them. He is their origin and they are his offspring. Q55:15, Q7:12, Q18:50. * Allah commanded Iblees to prostrate to Adam (peace be upon him), but he refused and was arrogant, and was one of the kafirs (disbelievers). So, Allah expelled him from His mercy, and cursed him until the Day of Judgement. Q2:34, Q15:30-35

* He asked for a respite until the Day of Resurrection, and Allah granted him that. Q15:36-38

* He knows that his destination is the Fire, and he hopes to take everyone else with him to Hell, out of envy, hatred, kufr (disbelief) and stubbornness.

* He hates mankind, who are the children of Adam (peace be upon him), and he is hostile towards them because he is cursed and has been banished from the mercy of Allah because of his refusal to prostrate to their father Adam (peace be upon him).

* Allah and His Messenger warned us against him: “Indeed, Shaytaan is to you an enemy, so take him as an enemy.”Q 35:6. “Shaytaan threatens you with poverty and commands you with evil and obscene deeds.” Q 2:267. “Indeed, Shaytaan is an open and manifest enemy to mankind.” Q12:5. “If any does follow the footsteps of Shaytaan he will but command the evil and obscene.” Q 24:21. “Shaytaan has made their actions alluring to them and has prevented them from the path.” Q 27:24. ‘Did I not command you, O Children of Adam, that you should not worship Shaytaan (Satan). Verily, he is a plain enemy to you’ Q36:6. ‘O mankind! Eat of that which is lawful and good on the earth, and follow not the footsteps of Shaytaan (Satan). Verily, he is to you an open enemy’ Q2:168‘O you who believe! Follow not the footsteps of Shaytaan (Satan). And whosoever follows the footsteps of Shaytaan (Satan), then, verily, he commands Al-Fahsha’ [i.e. to commit indecency (illegal sexual intercourse)], and Al-Munkar [disbelief and polytheism (i.e. to do evil and wicked deeds; and to speak or to do what is forbidden in Islam)]’ Q24:21 etc

Shaytaan is present with one of you in all of his affairs until he is present with him while he takes his food. Muslim. There is none amongst you except that there has been appointed to him a Qareen (companion) from among the jinn (in another narration “Shaytaan”) and a Qareen from the angels. Sahih al-Jami’, no 5676, Sahih al-Jami’, no.5677. Iblis has placed his throne above the water and then he sends his detachments. The closest of them to him are those who cause the greatest trial. One of them comes back to him and says: ‘I did such and such.’ Shaytaan replies: ‘You have not done anything.’ Then another comes to him and says: ‘I did not leave him alone until I caused division between him and his wife.’ So Shaytaan brings him closer to himself and says: ‘You did well.’ ” Muslim. Indeed, Shaytaan flows in the son of ‘Adam like blood.” Bukhari, Muslim and others. Take a nap / siesta as Shaytaan does not take a rest. at-Tabarani in al-Awsat and Abu Na’im in at-Tibb. Shaykhal-Albani declared it hasan in Sahih al-Jami’, no. 4307

* He does not need anyone to whisper to him, because he is the source of all evil.

* He is never seen on any day smaller, more humiliated, more defeated and angrier than on the day of ‘Arafah, because of what he sees of the descent of mercy and forgiveness for sins, except what he saw on the day of Badr.

* In Ramadan, the gates of heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and every Shaytaan mareed is chained up. al-Bukhari 3277, Muslim 1079.An-Nasaa’i (2108), classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh an-Nasaa’i , Sharh az-Zarqaani ‘ala Muwatta’ al-Imam Maalik (3/137), Majmoo‘ al-Fataawa (25/246).

* He, other Jinns and humans, have free will and freedom of choice, to obey Allah or to disobey Him Q18:29, Q76:3

* The devils (shayaateen plural of Shaytaan) are the kuffaar (disbelievers) of the jinn. Shayaateen are from among the jinn. They are the rebellious ones and the evilest among them, just as the evil doers and kaafir among mankind are the rebellious ones Q6:112, Q18:50

* Every person has a Shaytaan and an angel with him as constant companions (Qareen). Muslim 2814.

* The Shaytaan inspires man to evil and calls man to evil. There are times when he has control over man’s heart and can find out, by Allaah’s decree, what a person intends to do of good or evil.

* There are also times when the angel has control over a person’s heart. He makes him incline towards good and calls him to good.
The believer suppresses his Shaytaan by obeying Allaah and adhering steadfastly to His religion, so he humiliates his Shaytaan until he becomes weak and unable to stop the believer doing good or make him fall into evil, except what Allaah wills.

* The sinner, by his disobedience and evil actions, gives his Shaytaan the strength to make him do evil and encourages him to do evil, and discourage him from doing good.

* The believer has to fear Allaah and strive against his Shaytaan by obeying Allaah and His Messenger and seeking refuge with Allaah from the Shaytaan. And he should strive to defeat Shaytaan by obeying Allaah and His Messenger and heeding the commands of Allaah.

* Muslims help their brothers among the Jinn to obey Allaah and His Messenger just as they help their human brothers by teaching and reminding other humans, for the jinn may attend the lessons of humans in the mosques and elsewhere and benefit from them. Q 46:29-30, Q72:1

* A Jinn may make himself visible in human form to some people when pointing them towards something good or something evil.

* The fate of the Shaytaan on the Day of Resurrection will be the worst and most horrible of fates Q38:82-85, Q58:19

* Shaytaan will disown his followers on the Day of Resurrection and everyone who followed him will regret it, when regret will be of no avail. Q14:22 Usool al-Deen al-Islami by Shaykh Muhammad ibn Ibraaheem al-Tuwaijri

shekina! that's d common sense dat we dnt have, any Muslim that argue against the fact that it is shirk to pray at the grave to dead, wether wasila, or wateva that person needs to check his iman ,bcoz if with ur iman u still can't distinguish between right and wrong in Islam, u ar probably not worshiping in the correct manner.

I dey shame for people arguing against the fact that it is shirk. if u want 2 pray for ur loved ones dat are dead, after Sallah u can simply ask Allah to forgive them.

Firstly, I commend your gentleman approach in answering this question. However, won't it just be more convenient for everybody if you people build big central mosques in different locations like Christians do? Churches have regional/zonal headquarters where they hold special gatherings, Muslims should be kind enough to do this too.

yea, of course that will be great, but Muslim dnt get heavy donations like churches do, so they can't afford those heavy budget project, if u manage to see any bigger mosque like d one u r referring to it's definitely donated by the government, and it's probably one in each state.

as for the ambulance and tanker spill, u are just been petty, mater of fact they have personel that controls the traffic and direct cars to follow alternative route. tragedy happens everyday, I have seen were trailer fell an burn ppl chilling in their house.
