Governor SIM is waiting for FG. If FG template will wait for 5 thousand years to come out. Our dear SIM will wait for the same 5 thousand years or more.
I keep saying that all politicians are the same. Don't be surprised the new minimum wage would be paid by January 2025 by governor SIM.

It was a mistake from FCMB. They're mixed up organizations salaries.

Please can you redo the calculations using the current 70k minimum wage but at 20percent level being the consequential adjustment for the 70k. Thank you.

Please my honorable colleagues, how much supposed to be our salary range if given 20 percent instead of the whole 133.333 percent based on consequential adjustment as it was in the previous minimum wage of 30k.
Those that are good in mathematics should help us calculate it, please.

It was reported in the National Dailies that 27 states are yet to set up a minimum wage committee. Rivers State was not in the list. There's every possibillity that Fubara will pay us the new wage this month. So let's keep our fingers crossed

Ok. However, the paper I read, Rivers State was neither among the states that haven't set up minimum wage committee nor those that have set up the committe. As you can see below.

Twenty-seven states and the Federal Capital Territory have yet to set up committees to implement the recently approved N70,000 minimum wage.

The states are Plateau, Kebbi, Sokoto, Nasarawa, Bayelsa, Delta, Osun, Ekiti, Zamfara, Benue, Enugu, Taraba, Gombe, Kogi, Enugu, Adamawa, Niger, Anambra, Imo, Ebonyi, Oyo, Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Katsina, Kaduna, Cross River and Yobe.

However, seven other states — Kano, Kwara, Ogun, Borno, Jigawa, Ondo, and Abia — have set up implementation committees. Only Lagos and Edo claimed to have started paying the minimum wage.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu signed the new minimum wage into law on July 29, 2024, after meeting with leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria.

Just know that Rivers State is paying min wage this month.Got the info from a reliable source at ministry of finance that the calculation is already done.So let's wait and see before you conclude

Hmmmm, a Nigerian politician, Bread and Buttered in Nigeria will pay the new minimum wage without broadcasting it all over the media houses? Well, let me watch and see how possible that can be. Month ending is almost around the corner.

All Nigerian politicians are the same. They can't do people any favour if there's nothing they will benefit from it.
The new minimum wage is no longer in the lips of our dear governor. Remember, he said that he will key in IMMEDIATELY the federal government concludes with the negotiations.
Now what's happening? I guess the FG is still discussing about the new minimum wage with labour unions. Right?
Hmmmm! No politician from Nigeria is a saint. All are selfish and self centered.

If Rivers State government failed to pay at the end of August, payment of the new minimum wage will not exceed the month of September. The governor made the promise that as soon as the template is out, he will pay, and now it's out.

Inasmuch as we have to be positive, don't fail to acknowledge the vagaries of human being. Human being is dynamic and the governor is a human being who can change at any point in time. Hence, don't bank on what he said.

Breaking: Senate Passes New Minimum Wage Bill Into Law
The Senate has passed the new national minimum wage bill into law, following the request by President Bola Tinubu.
The lawmakers in the upper legislative chambers passed the bill on Tuesday, 23rd July and will now wait for concurrence from the House of Representatives following a letter asking for such from President Bola Tinubu.

The bill, when active, would pave the way for the payment of the new minimum wage of N70,000 to Nigerian workers.

The newly passed bill also has a new provision for its review after 3 years, unlike the former provision with a 5-year review period.

this assumption of 70k as basic salary of level 12 is very much on the high side . Presently level 13 step 7 earns only about 57k as basic salary

Based on 30k minimum wage currently.

Now it has been established that the new minimum wage is 70k. Those who know how to calculate it should please tell us what we are expecting as our new salary when implemented. I mean Level 12 step 4. Thank you.

The Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC), on Thursday, shared a total sum of N1,208.081 billion April 2024 federation account revenue to the Federal Government, States and Local Government Councils in the country.


The revenue was shared at the May 2024 meeting of FAAC, held in Abuja.

The balance in the Excess Crude Account (ECA) was $473,754.57

In a statement on Thursday issued by Bawa Mokwa, Director (Press and Public Relations), Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) said a communiqué issued by the Federation Allocation Account Committee (FAAC) revealed that the N1,208.081 billion total distributable revenue comprised distributable statutory revenue of N284.716 billion, distributable Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue of N466.457 billion, Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) revenue of N18.024 billion and Exchange Difference revenue of N438.884 billion.

Total revenue of N2,192.077 billion was available in the month of April 2024. Total deduction for cost of collection was N80.517 billion; total transfers, interventions and refunds was N903.479 billion.

Celebrating Easter without salary is an error. Government didn't try at all for this one, except if they are planning to send it together with Palliative.

Easter without salary. Na so, the thing dey take start. From small wickedness it will graduate to former governors name.

If it were that time Governor Sim hasn't gotten judgement from supreme court. He would have paid the wage award long since but now he has gotten his two legs strong on the ground. We shall see the real him in terms of his own level of wickedness.

Easter activities is on the corner and a so called Christian governor is yet to pay salary up to now.
But immediately the Muslims are about to celebrate theirs, boom, he would pay three days before the D day.

That's why i say that all the politicians in Rivers State and Nigeria are all the same in terms of wickedness. It's just that the level of their wickedness differs in hierarchy at a particular point in time.
