HELLO GUYS...

i wanted to update today on where i stop on my last topic yesterday, and how bobby finally made it..... But i want to give people today to digest it and have some reflection on the stories so far, because i believe some people may just start making decisions on what have be writing on this thread.

And please am here to use my "sweet/bitter " stories to elevate people who are down and thinking it is all over.

Also please guys am not comparing " Ivory coast " economy to any where in the world. But if u truly followed my thread from page 1 to 9, you will find out how i stated the challenges i had gone through but patience made me a winner ( no place is easy even america)

Please guys let pick on the positive that can make us want to try than to pick the ones that will make u doubt yourself and God

Like i said tomorrow by 11 am i will continue from where i stopped.

Stay tuned guys...

Thanks.

so do u mean if u have good social skills and make good friends, u can get accommodation, job n etcetera
Yes but remember you must have a good heart and again if your purpose is same with God then everything becomes smooth.

You can get job in any country u found your self if God approve your journey and your heart is clear.

Good friends are made from heaven.

Is easy to adapt in " ivory coast " the only issue with people from English speaking countries is just " French " but if you are good in communicating u will adapt . but French is easy to learn if u really want to learn

Good evening everyone, like i promise to update on a different topic away from my self. And am here to talk about my friends in Abidjan and one of them in particular called "Bobby."

If u followed my thread from page one u must have learnt that i am also using this thread to motivate people who feel they are too DOWN to go UP. So i am here to motivate u to start from anywhere.

His name is " Bobby " he is in his late 30s if not 40 now. We are all 4 friends and i am the youngest, in fact i did not come close to their age but because i am smart and intelligent that was why i was able to move with them. and the 3 remaining guys are in their early 30s then.... Now let get to why we are all here.

I remember how i went to a sunday church and after church service i went to "tea and bread shop* owned by an Ivorian. The owner of the shop is called (Barry) .

Then i never knew i will come in contact with a Nigerian not to talk of even meeting 3 Nigerians at one spot. i went into the shop and as i was eating i had someone speaking " pidgin" then i turn around in a haste to know where that is coming from grin then i saw 3 guys arguing ( that is normal Nigerian characteristics) then before u know it then i joined with our popular way of greeting in pidgin " oboy how far na.... " then 3 of them replied and said " oboy how far? we dey happy to meet you ooo "

Then they continue insulting them self 2 of them were telling Bobby to reduce the way he was womanising, and bobby is telling chidi to stop dating school girls then Isioma is like pastor. Then we introduce our self.

Luckily for us we stay close to each other. from the church were both of them stays is like 5 to 10 minutes on walking to where i stay with those Ivorian family. They told me to meet them later in the evening in a bar that is close to them.... But this 3guys hide in doing anything that the church dnt permit, like going to the bar, and drinking or even seen with a woman. They must show good example outside, because they live in the church. in fact Isioma later got employed to work in the church. But Bobby and Chidi are opposite of what the church want them to be outside the church . then i went to meet them that evening after taking my bath and i know what i pass through from my Ivorian damsel that evening to go out and meet this guys. When i got there they already waiting for me. This guys are the first people that told me about ivory coast and the advantage and disadvantages.

They told me how does first to third set of Nigerians that came to "ivory coast" mostly, those guys that ran with ojukwu during Biafra. They told me how sweet and virgin Ivory coast was. They also told me some of the Nigeria guys and member of their church who got married to ivorian women at that time and how the government was responsible for the wedding expenses at those years( things has changed ) grin

Then they jokingly, told me how some of their church member wanted to move to Europe or France from " ivory coast" at that time, but the beauty of Ivorian ladies and the sweet life made them change their mind then they got married grin ( remember i warned u people reading this)

I remember they told me, how a ship in a sea in Abidjan was taking people to France but the moment Nigeria start moving to Ivorian coast they start taking advantage of it and that link was stop ( trust Nigerians they are opportunist) grin

i will try and make this story Short then keep updating it as day goes by so that people can digest it easily.....

So, back to the story...,

I remember this day and it was one of my emotional moment in ivory coast. We all sat down in a bar and i was telling them about my story and what God has done for me but i never knew bobby life story was deeper and crazy than mine.

After i finished telling them my ordeals/ stories. Bobby laughed with "cigarette " in his hand like a man who has seen it all ( yes, bobby is a smoker ). He blew out the smoke from his mouth to the air,

Then he said ( emeka if i tell u my story u go think say na Nigeria movies) one thing i knew about bobby is that...." his never serious" with anything apart from money. Then i continue mocking him how he likes eating and women also not ready to work hard.

Surprising to me, he said in pidgin " mad man done give u clothe to wear before? "

I was like what the f*ck is he saying and i was speechless to listen why he said that.

He told me how he spent 7 years in south Africa, then came back to Nigeria then move to Ghana. he said in pidgin " emeka na Ghana i travel na trouble make me enter ivory coast ooo " just one week he entered Ghana.

He said, my guy dnt ever go to ghana ( am sorry if u are Ghanian reading this) he told me how he was monitored the moment he told them he's from Nigeria at the hotel he was lodging. He told me how his ordeal started when he slept with a Ghana girl and the next day the Ghana girl came and told him she was pregnant and she needed money cheesy ( na wa oo) then he told his Ghana friend at the hotel about it and the Ghana guy told him not to give her any money, because that is how some Ghana women behaves

He said to me that is how he ran away from Ghana and entered ivory coast which is neigbouring country to ivory coast ( 12 hours journey from Ghana to ivory coast ) because the pressure from this same Ghana girl was too much. Then he told me how he entered ivory coast on Xmas day and it was raining and he has no place to move too or where too sleep. Then he had no choice than to stay " under the bridge " where he met a mad man ( yes a mad man. believe me ) how it was so cold out side that night and this mad man look at him said in his heart " am better than this guy " cheesy and the mad man gave him his jacket for cover against cold. Please dnt get me wrong am not saying the mad said so, am only saying how Bobby thought when that mad man was looking at him.

i have to stop here to enable people to read it easily.... then update it tomorrow to continue how Bobby made millions of naira before he left ivory coast to another country

Stay tuned guys tomorrow another update. Thanks

Please bro I want to go to ivory coast this christmas and maybe spend one week, how much should I budget for flight, and maybe a 4 star hotel accommodation for 4 days? And how much for food too like a rough estimate, I would really appreciate you reply
For the flight it should be from 100k for (return ticket) but still confirm online.

For the hotels i believe is good to go there because they have a lot for u to make a choice, but 40k is enough for u to stay or even lesser because of naira strength Agaist cefa.

In ivory coast, food is almost free you can hold any reasonable amount unless u want to depend only on Nigeria food that is when u should be thinking of taking like 20 to 30k , since u are going during Xmas time. You may just find an Ivorian lady that would not mind eating Nigeria food with u grin

Awesome thread.
My nysc is what is still holding me down from moving to abdijan.
Plz bro, how lucrative is spare parts business over there and which brand of cars does ivorians majorly deal on and again, like how much would a flight from Nigeria to Abidjan cost especially if one does not want to take the road route.
How often can I run into people speaking English knowing fully well its a French speaking country, and having heard some amazing things about there ladies, won't be bad to settle down with one.
God plz take away this stupid corona from the world. Let me go explore Abidjan
Firstly, spare part is like oil business over there. Among my 3 friends 2 of them work in a spare part shop, and one of them told me their daily sales is 15 million naira after converted to naira. Am not saying this too make anyone despirate, but remember it must have took the owner hard work to build his buiness and the surprising things is that 99.9 percent of spare part shops are owned by Nigerians .. So is left for u to work hard and think like business man

* they mostly deal with same type of brand of cars will have here. So is left for u go in there find out more as business man

For the flight i believe anything from 100k but u can make ur research on this is easy to do.

Yes i know Ivory coast is a French speaking country but communicating will be easy for u if u are good in communicating with sign, but if u want to come across Nigerians or any english speaking country then u find them at "adjame" market

coucou monsieur,i love your story, cest tres agreable, please am asking how about thier agriculture and livestock sector for a prospective veterinary doctor to do business
Agriculture is there major sector after COCOA, you are good to go but to me Abidjan is not the right place for u unless is just for " veterinary doctor " then the others like livestock should be done in another state because there is enough land to farm and things are cheap but the most important thing u will be supplying those livestock's to Major cities/states like Abidjan. And one of those state too move too is "bouake" they are others developing state u can try also

Okay bro I thank you for your response.. pls do you have any idea how shop rent might cost and how to get the residence permit....if you don't mind we can talk on email... ezeanijude1@gmail.com
Your best bet is move to there because they are different ways of renting. And remember this is a foreign country u may just go there and change your mind then u start looking for a space to start with and to save cost before getting a shop. But everything still depend on what u want to sale. But if u know ur business need a shop then move in with enough cash but if u dnt then look for space in the market where u will be paying only TAX.

I am a fabricator, I build machines and I also make very good, delicious and crunchy popcorn, what are my chances there,? I am also a professional photographer
So what part can I go to do business and make it?
Since u are a fabricator, your best bet is Abidjan and a popular market called ( ADJAME) market but u can still try other market, but why i choose adjame market is because is where u see " spare apart shops " "fridges " and all types of machine. So i believe the locals already knows this for such.

And for the pop corn business, your best bet should be Abidjan because is a major city in ivory coast

Okay brother i want to ask you few things about business there.. I'm currently living in Mauritius island but I want to leave here by the end of this year and I already have ivory coast in mind as my next destination but it's to do business and it's going to be phone accessories... So my question is what are my chances of making it there and do you know how much to rent a shop will cost me and how can I get their residence permit
Your chances are bright, but your best state is called* bouake" am not sure of this spelling u can check it to confirm the spelling but Abidjan is also good, but that state is where to do that buiness because only few people do such business there and phone accessories are very cost over there and that will enable u to "catch out " quick grin. And the added advantage is that house is cheap but light bill may be high compare to Abidjan
TravelRe: My Sweet "Ivory Coast" Memories by EMEKUSBOY9(op):
i want to use this time to thank everyone who has taken his time to stay tunned on my thread starting from page 1. Thanks guys.....

Now to continue from where i stop.

I remember how me and my 3 friends were flexing Abidjan. The joy i have after i remembered how i started from nothing to becoming something. The night life is so sweet to an extent we dnt need to visit any bars because only the sight of those Ivorian beauties and how they smiles at u can even kill any depression ( yes, believe me some women can kill any types of depression, i found that in ivory coast)

Now back to the main topic why we are all here....

My first try on getting a team was not really successful. On that faithful day i went to church and after the service i decided to visit the pastor wife after a friend told me to try and see her as a Nigerian , because we are only 2 Nigerians in that church.

After i went inside and she asked where am from I told her from Nigeria and she was so happy and she keep asking me about churches in Nigeria. From there she asked me why i came to ivory coast, i told her i came to search for a team then she was marveled and the next thing i know she asked me about my age and called a powerful sport journalist on phone and she told me to wait for her till after church service. grin ( God is really Good), at that time i know my case was just matter of time.

After Church service i was called by her personal assistance to come to her office, then i went in.... then she told me we are going to the man house ( it was like am dreaming and my heart start beating so fast ) cheesy When we got to the man house, this nice pastor wife told the man " this is my son i want you to give him the oppurnity like any footballer" shocked then the journalist told me when i will be taken to the team. My brethren i could not sleep that night because it was just like a dream to me, and i started thinking what if i never went to church that Sunday, because i dnt go to church that regular, but this Sunday i just decided to move.

Then she called me on phone to know how i was preparing to travel to the team. this team based at outside Abidjan. The following week i am ready to travel and she gave me enough money for my trip ( i could not hold back joy and happiness)

To cut the long story short i went to the team but the agreement between the journalist and the club did not go well and after some weeks with the reserved team because the league was already on session and i came back( i was not really happy because i wanted to make the " pastor wife " and the ivorian family that brought me into their home to be proud of me. Even my own mum)

But i never knew God was using that to prepare me and to prove to me that his God Almighty.

One faithful day i was eating with my Ivorian guys who are in charge of transport in that country. And my main guy ( LASS) who is their chairman asked why did i came to ivory coast. And deep down in me i know is high time i tell him everything.

i told him i came into ivory coast to get a soccer team..... My brother that was when i know how influential this people are. They started screaming and telling me i should relax that i already got team grin ( just like that ?) This was what i said to myself when i had it.

My brethren, it got to the next morning they told me to get prepared that we are going to ZOKORA agent who is a coach to a second division team( this is not a joke i mean it) anybody who watch soccer knows who ZOKORA was and how popular he is. Then they started ranting and boosting that if they dnt sign me war will be the next thing grin and this moment i remember this Nigeria terms " Power chop" and they were all happy that they have someone they could go and watch every Friday or Saturday league match. This guys love soccer and they are ready to do anything to make sure i represent them to an extent they told me if i dnt get signed no player will be signed. i know why they are all saying this is because they are the real fan of that team and in fact one way or the other they helped the team manager and also is their friend.

It got to that day i will be going to meet the coach at where they were training preparing for the league match. i came very early as 6am and waited for them. Then they came and make some calls to confirm if the coach was already present ( this guys have people everywhere cheesy) then the person ask them to start coming that the coach is already present.... Then we all left to where the team was training. i wish i can demonstrate how this guys were behaving approaching the field cheesy i was just laughing and telling them to calm down

They got to the field and respect every laws and also gave the coach the respect he deserve. They told the coach am one
of their own and they want me get signed and i should move into the camp that same day grin my brothers and sister i was just surprised.... and that moment i remember a saying in my heart that goes this way " if God is for you people will fight for u even ur enemy will fight for u"

The coach told them he's not the owner of the team that i should come the following week. This people did not agree and they said the coach must sign me. But as a footballer i know how things are done and i called their attention and told them the coach was right.... Lolz, that was how i was able to save the coach from all this guys and we all went back home.

To cut the story short i went there next week and i was training with them not knowing God has something very big for me. while i was training with them i got in contact with coach in a very low division and i saw the interest he has for me and plan he also have for me after some few time with the division 2 team, Then i stop training with the division 2 team, and i start training with division 4 team. can u imagine?

i never knew that was the only character i need....., to get favour from God

i started training with this team and i was oppurtune to be among players going for an open trials in America, a team called " LA GALAXY FC" if u know soccer teams u will find out this is the same team zlatan Ibrahimovic plays...

So for some people that was wondery why did i left Ivory coast.... This was the only reason i left there to Nigeria to secure my visa but the sad thing was that i could not get the visa to go for the trial because of how our brothers over there in american were moving to canada using america visa and also is because is an open trial and they are not sure if i will be coming back to Nigeria if did not make the trial( this was the main reason i could not be granted)

But am still greatful because now i dnt need to look for a club my self i already have agent working for me and his helping me in any way he can. So for now i just wait for his phone calls then i pack my bag

CONCLUSION - if you follow towards the last paragraph you all will find out how i stop training with division 2 team to division 4. That is what people called " HUMILITY " so i advice people to start from anywhere they found peace and joy no matter how small it is.

Thanks guys my next update will be on a different topic all together.... So get ready and stay tunned!

Is easier to get visa in ivory coast than Nigeria, but as Nigeria passport holder i believe u need to have working permit or residence permit.

Also if u want to get Ivorian players to Europe is easy but one thing i must say is that Ivorian players dnt really believe paying an agent to travel because, French clubs always scout there.

I know a Nigeria guy who left Nigeria and went to ivory coast and luckily for him the first day training with the soccer academy in Abidjan, scout from Lyon came and saw him and took him to "Lyon Fc" in France. Although this happened long time ago
