Yes changing it in Benin republic will favors u because the exchange rate will favor u compare to changing it in Ivory Coast that would not make naira to have much value to cefa ( I don’t know about the current rate)


Yes to carry such money is safe because the road from Benin republic to Ivory Coast is not like the one in Nigeria ( I don’t know about now because am no more there)

But i will advice u to carry like 300 to 500k then once u get there u can go to the market to search for those Nigerians who do this business of sending and receiving money from Nigeria ( although there are charges to pay)

But u can still carry it along with u if u are not ready to pay charges to receive it

The other options is your master card GTB or ECOBANK , but no put mind on this please because it may not work out when u get there
