Kept our passports. Your visa's are approved. Give one week then pick it up. Instructions on how to pick it up is in the white paper. Hands the white paper. Congrats and have a great trip.

NB: My observation; Most of the people given are those that have been to the US or those with vast travel history. These two we have and also God by our side.

My sister is over there so I guess I can apply since I qualify under extended family member but my question is that if I apply with my kids, will it work too. They are minors.

Pls, can someone advice me on the best hotel to choose for my parents from the govt approved hotels in Toronto that is cheaper and includes 3 meals a day, airport pickup etc. I need it urgently.
Also hope Ethiopian airlines is ok to Toronto.

It might help someone cause I learnt one or two things from this forum.

Please note I had my visiting visa since 2019 but never used it.

Firstly I have a family member so I'm be eligible to travel at this time, a family member is either immediate or extended. immediate is a parent, spouse etc. Extended is a sibling, grand child etc ( please refer to the website for further clarifications)

For immediate family members you don't need a statutory form or an authorisation letter but you do for an extended family.

I came in as an extended family member and this was my process

Step 1: Get your family member and yourself to both fill the Application for authorization and statutory declaration

this form is for family member in Canada older than 18 years old there is a different one for a minor. ( check website)

Step 2: Family member goes to a notary/Lawyer to get form signed and pay a fee

Step 3: Email form and other details to IRCC

Step 4: Buy your ticket and prepare to travel

Step 5: Call the Government approved numbers to book a hotel for quarantine

call can only be 48 hrs to departure flight. For this step I paid $1154 which includes hotel, breakfast lunch and dinner for the 3 days and two covid tests one at the airport on arrival and one on day 10 of quarantine). Print your hotel confirmation.

Step. 6: Download the arrive can app and fill in your details, flight, hotel, where you would quaint for the remaining 11 days if your first covid test comes out negative. Print your arrivecan receipt.

Step 7: Do the first covid test in Nigeria before your flight

Step 8: book for the second covid test to be done at the airport in Canada to avoid queues( my advise). you can book on the switch health.ca ( print your appointment)

Step 8: arrive on the day of your flight early because all the things above would be scanned by your airline and sent for approval( not sure who they sent it to. I flew Lufthansa), you have to wait for the approval before you are allowed to board your flight.

Step 9: Get on your flight and arrive Canada( I flew to Toronto, only four international airports are opened at this time)

Step 10: I did immigration twice because they really wanted to confirm I had family and they asked for all the above things mentioned too.

Step 10: grab your bags

Step 11: Do your second covid test at the exit of the airport

Step. 12: Use an airport taxi/shuttle to get to your hotel. All the hotels are around the airport.

Step 13: Start quarantine and wait for your covid test. I came in on a Saturday so didn't get my result till Monday, if you get a negative result earlier you are allowed to check out and go and continue your 14 days quarantine at your preferred location.
I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, they delivered breakfast, lunch and dinner but they were all oyinbo food so I struggled with that.

Step 14: Checked out on my last day and proceeded to my place of quarantine using an uber.

Step. 15: You have to report on the arrive can for the 14 days so they know if you developed any symptoms or not( quite straight forward)

Step 16: Do your third covid test on day 10, they provide a covid kit at the airport and its picked up at your location. all the instructions are in the kit.

I finished my. quarantine few days ago.

Hello everyone, my parents applied for TRV last year September. My PR sister applied for authorization for them. it has been approved. My dad's passport has been requested. Waiting for mum's request of passport.
Now my questions are:
Firstly, do they necessarily need to bring their passports to Abuja themselves since they applied in Abuja or can they DHL it to VFS or something.
Secondly, is it possible not to approve my mum's own. They applied together and she is even the most important person that needs to visit self for child visit (Omugwo)
Thirdly, is there a time frame to travel since there is a letter of authorisation on sympathy grounds.
Fourthly, can anyone help me with VFS Canada Abuja Phone no. They ain't picking the one i have .
Lastly, Can I and my kids apply to go visit my sisters 1st child. My nephew and their cousins. Is it a valid reason now and can she also apply letter of authorisation for us. For family reunion or sth.

They cancelled all March and April appointments. However, you can reschedule for them.

Pls, is it a problem if your interview date is 6 months to your stated travel date in the ds 160. Though u chose no specific plans.
Also, how many times can you reschedule your appointment?

Well, it depends on how much that has entered the company account. That will determine how much u will pay. I think there is an advantage if u have used it for any government contract and the money was paid into that account.
I have a business name and a Limited Liability but I only pay tax on my biz name cos am also scared of how much the LTD will cost me at this point considering its been years. Truth be told, I only pay my yearly tax cos of visa purposes.
Usually, there is a 3 years free tax clearance or so given b4 you start paying tax but that is if u haven't done any transaction or started your biz but the tax clearance will carry NIL NIL NIL. I don't know if u can use such tax clearance for visa purposes.
Whatever the case may be, it can be worked on.
Just get an auditor. If u don't have any. U can go to FIRS in your area and see if they recommend any to you. You may see auditors there self. They are the ones to advice you better.
If you are in Abuja, I can give you my auditor's Number.

It's lowkey to your advantage that your personal bank account statement is the string one with transactions going in and out. The fee for visa and biometrics is c$185, apply with your personal account, but submit your company documents too in the business owner documents section. You should fill the education section, it's compulsory.[/quote]

1) How much is the current visa fee and biometrics for adults and kids for visiting visa.
2) Must I apply with my company statement of account or can I use my personal account. I have my company documents and tax clearance but I don't have a company account. I use my personal account.
3) Must I fill the education section of the application form or is it for students?

Processing time has come down to 186 days for Nigerians. Just checked their website now.

For my father application i did not even use any tax clerance,i just use the business registration with letter of explanation of the nature of the busines because you can also use both depening your well explanation approach in your letter so far it a legal buiness ,an idividual can have more than one business...if am in same situation l will include both document and explain more my nature of business back with my bank account[/quote]

Please, I need an urgent response. I have two registered companies LTD and Biz name but I pay tax on only the biz name.
I use the LTD without Tax for USA while I use the biz name with tax for UK.
Now my question is this, which of them should I use for Canadian application or should I use both.
I intend using the Biz name with Tax clearance but I don't know If it will be a problem with the whole data sharing btw USA and Canada or should I put both but with one tax clearance.

Pls, what is the current amount of fees to pay for Canadian TRV and do children pay the same amount with adults. I want to apply with my 2 kids (8 years) and maybe my mum.
Also, is medical report and police report necessary for TRV. Someone said I should add it.
Can I submit 6 months SOA
Lastly, between Online and Paper application which is better and faster presently.
