TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by emeldamicheals: 1:00pm On Feb 20, 2020
Hello,
Please, should i plan for one month itinerary since I want atleast one month Schenghen visa. Pls, I need advice more on this and preferable Schenghen country to apply for though Malta is my proposed main destination.
I have every requirement excluding the fact I don't have a company statement of account. I usually use my personal statement of account for Visa's. Is this a problem?
I have had a Schenghen Visa b4 but that was in 2004 in the non-electronic passport to Sweden for just 2 weeks for a competition I represented Nigeria when I was still in my Teen age. That's why I assume it's my first time cos it's been long or do I need to mention it.
I have vast travel history to other countries over years like Dubai × 2, India, Ukraine, UK ×3, USA × 4 and Turkey (e-visa) × 3.
I Still have a valid US visa on my passport.
Thanks

As at last year, the Italian Embassy was the Schengen embassy which issued visas for Malta.
Check and find out if this is still the case.

Schengen visas are generally issued for the duration of the proposed trip, sometimes plus a grace period, i.e. if you plan a trip of 10 days, they will either give you a visa valid for exactly 10 days, or may add a day or two for contingencies and give you one valid for perhaps 12 days, for example.
Hello everyone,
Please, does anyone know much about getting Maltese tourist Visa in Abuja. And if they give Visa's and requirements.
That's the Schenghen I want to visit but if not then I can apply thru any other Schenghen state then get to Malta. Also, is there fixed no of months given for Schenghen for first timers like one month, two months or three months.
Thanks

Full report :
https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/proclamation-improving-enhanced-vetting-capabilities-processes-detecting-attempted-entry/
*e) Nigeria*
(i) *Nigeria does not comply with the established identity-management and information-sharing criteria assessed by the performance metrics. Nigeria does not adequately share public-safety and terrorism-related information, which is necessary for the protection of the national security and public safety of the United States.* Nigeria also presents a high risk, relative to other countries in the world, of terrorist travel to the United States. Nigeria is an important strategic partner in the global fight against terrorism, and the United States continues to engage with Nigeria on these and other issues. The Department of State has provided significant assistance to Nigeria as it modernizes its border management capabilities, and the Government of Nigeria recognizes the importance of improving its information sharing with the United States. Nevertheless, these investments have not yet resulted in sufficient improvements in Nigeria’s information sharing with the United States for border and immigration screening and vetting.
(ii) *The entry into the United States of nationals of Nigeria as immigrants, except as Special Immigrants whose eligibility is based on having provided assistance to the United States Government, is hereby suspended.*

This pressure to comply may be the catalyst for the reliable citizen ID and credible census we have been yearning for.

Hello house,
Compliments and Happy New year in advance.
Pls, what are the chances of getting a visa for a 14 year old living with me. Not blood related but am her guardian. Would love her to travel with me and the kids to USA for holiday by next year if possible.
She is very nice and deserves a good treat.
How can this be obtainable?
Thanks.

You filled 6 weeks in your application and was granted. Wow! Congrats. So you can fill that long.

quote author=Vicas2000 post=84936992]Quick question....does a traveller needs to travel on the exact date that they filled on their application for the visa given and to the same destination?

i.e. Intended travel date filled in application 20th January 2020 to 3rd of March 2020 (flight from Lagos to Birmingham) while the actual travel date for flight ticket is 21st January 2020 to 6th of March 2020 (Lagos to Heathrow).

Reason: Ticket cheaper on those dates by £300 and is direct flight and less stress as traveller is an older person.

I hope this is not any big problem at point of entry. Any comment will be welcome.
TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by emeldamicheals: 10:49am On Apr 07, 2019
Good morning all, please, I am looking at applying for Canadian Visa. I and my kids have a good travel history and we have a valid US visa. My question is this. My husband has been denied Canadian Visa twice for conference. Part of the reason for denial is cos he doesn't have good travel history.
My question is if we should apply with him or should I apply with the kids only and leave him as tie at home.
Can both me and him sponsor the trip or I should sponsor alone.
Thanks

Yes it will. Current Visa will still be valid.

If they are sceptical of getting denied a renewal, have they run foul of US laws previously.

The can be denied entry at POE even with the valid Visa if there's any pending issue.
Sorry am responding late. Have been offline. The 221g letter is attached to the email sent to you from the embassy. Please, go with all necessary documents like you are going on an interview. In as much as they hardly sight documents. Its rather safe than sorry.

Hi ma’am please what and what did you take for your 221g appointment, I just got my passport back today , I’ve scheduled an appointment but only the passport was returned to me no 221g slip
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by emeldamicheals: 7:08pm On Feb 04, 2019
Use your American passport to travel to countries that are visa free for Americans. Present your Nigerian passport when you enter Nigeria. That's the advantage of dual citizenship. So your baby should have both American and Nigerian passport.

TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by emeldamicheals: 2:23pm On Jan 28, 2019
Yes, Abuja is 4 working days to 2 weeks via dropbox on the average. Mine took about one week during xmas period. So Basically it took 4 to 5 working days. It was 221G though.

quote author=ayenikunle post=75152855]

People still get Dropbox feedback in 5 working days?

Have you heard/seen anyone who got it in 5 days this year?

Just curious.
I kept checking off and on and just noticed it has opened up and i chose a date. I think they close it and open it like that. So just keep checking. Abuja has earlier dates than Lagos.
