@OP, my advice for u is to look for little startup business (if there is fund), go into teaching or improve your CV through skill acquisition and other professional courses while applying for various jobs that might favour u. You activated the find my phone feature and probably rebooted it. So it failed to boot. There are two possible reasons it failed to boot:
The old user flashed a different firmware for the device; and
The old user did not completely remove root.

Solution:
Boot the phone to download mode, by holding the vol+down+home key.. the model of the phone will be displayed on the phone. Search for the firmware on Sammobile.com or updato.com

If you have a pc, download Odin version 3.13 and flash

If you have any question kindly leave your phone number I will message or call u.

I'll suggest, before buying a phone, be physically present and manoeuvre it to your satisfaction. Make sure you are satisfied and ask the seller to give a warranty for it.
