OMG I just called and my uncle is at the scene weeping uncontrollably... Too many lives has been lost. The truck lost brake and wiped people. Total is a very busy place with too many hawkers. God have mercy!

@Emeriem did she try to re book immedately?
She has to wait either 24 or 48 hours
Thanks so much LadyG. There's a link for new appointment now but it is not accepting the old receipt number. What should we do? Who else has experienced this? I'm really hoping she is not required to pay a new visa fee

Has anyone experienced this or know the solution?
A friend filled the form Ds160 and booked an appointment. She later retrieved the application and made some corrections. The application number changed due to the correction. Yesterday was her interview but she was sent back because the appointment Barcode didn't tally with the application confirmation. This is because she booked appointment before she made the correction. She's been trying to book a new appointment but her receipt number is not accepted. Has anyone experienced this or have a solution? Also do you have any idea on how she can get a closers date for another appointment? Please reply asap. Thanks in advance

Hi mama's and papas, sorry i've just been very lazy to type. My journey was super successful. My baby arrived on 10th of April. God was with me all through. VBAC didn't work for me so I ended up with emergency Csection. My budget of 2.5m couldn't work either due to the high exchange rate. Well, I'm back home with my bouncing son...which is most important.
Thanks to everyone who advised/contributed to my success.
Modath, happytbaby, omodadi (your contact gave me clue to a very cheap ticket) etc. God bless you all. Nerf, a sister from another mother, you are an angel. God bless you!

@ Nerf... Make una help me beg Nerf say I wan see am soon o

Currently in NY , my flight was very smooth. Im so grateful to God. POE was ATL . I was only asked if i have contacted a doctor and how i intend to pay. The question even came after i have been stamped 6 months. He further asked why i allow my daughter who has a green card stay out of the US for too long.
Had a little issue with secondary inspection though ... they seized my 2 tubers of yam, indomie noodles and knorr chicken cubes. They warned me that i would be fined $300 the third time(this is the second time) i bring such items into the US. I will be very careful now.

Please beware of Zenith bank cards, I was charged N398+ per dollar today via pos. I'm so angry right now.

Love your post.

Also look out for coupons, for food, for clothes, for baby things, anything!

Ain't no shame in the game, most Americans never pay full price for anything. Register online with all the baby stores so you can get alerts for their sales and discounts as well as get coupons and offers.

Thanks dear

What did you use the card for? Have you already travelled?
I used it to pay Doctores Para Ti registration fee ($154.5) via paypal and Zenith bank debited me N52,280.49

This coming week is going to be hell for naira ooo........cos there is no direction for the economy and there is no national budget for now So the better the early, those traveling should take a trip to Ghana or Benin republic......even central bank will soon stop the BTA/PTA......and the form A cos Nigeria reserve is going down daily. Good luck to all the mamas and papas,.............leaving Chicago in few days to Nija via PH

Please where did you get this info from? I just called a brother in Cotonue and he said the rate as of now is N315 to USD1

I'm afraid of being scammed , some please advise. I'm in Ajah and she said her house is in Egbeda

Please decide on the doctor/hospital quickly (from the options people give here) so that you can apply for Form A to pay Doctor upfront @200 naira per dollar. Also check the last few pages for the banks where people bought PTA. If you pay your fees lets say N1.4M, you can then take 3,000 dollars from PTA (this is assuming that you get ticket of N500k. Really tight but God is with you.

I'm so grateful you all can help me, feeling blessed honestly. I have decided to use Dr. E of Oakbend. I will live anytime from 25th to 28th of Feb and return 7 weeks after --- by 25th of April.
Does Dr E accept direct bank transfer? Must I have a dom account to be able to do form A? I only have dom account with Zenith and UBA , i dont know if these banks do form A and at what rate
God bless you @Happytbaby
