Hello ma'am. I wholeheartedly recommend Premier Specialists Hospital, VI! I had my kids there. Dr Olaleye was my ob-gyn and he is a good and patient doctor. The other ob-gyns there also come highly recommended.

EvaMD:
been reading and still following up,

just to give update on my decision so far as per giving birth in Yankee, after careful review and timeline my DH and I have decided to just jejely born the pikin( issue) for naija, I tried registering with the hospital in dallas I chose but my contact there was so busy and with the case of applying and securing close appointment date seeming impossible I didn't wanna risk paying a hospital 1k dollars for registration then begin speak phonetics after for refund, seeing as I didn start the process on time.

so my people any mamas recommend good hospitals in lagos ( am thinking of going with premier specialist in VI, grateful for reviews)

Thank you to all who commented and adviced ( lady G and all the other commenters who showed interest and gave genuine opinions, you guys are the real MVP)

I go contact my NL again when I wan tackle this UK embassy people for my settlement visa. Fingers crossed.

thanks abunch

My sis is using Northside and she paid the hospital using Form A. However, the docs fee will be paid in cash as she does not accept wire Transfer.

davsquared:

Big Congrats on the safe arrival your LO.

Pls I will like to know if you paid cash for the hospital and doc bills. I have been calling Northside Atlanta to know if i could pay with Form A but they insist they dont accept wite transfers. This black market dollar price is giving me palpitations!

Also, how did u get your doc? Judy Furbish( who i was told handled patient -doc arrangement) has not replied any of my mails. I am due in sept and will b leaving in Aug.

Lastly, hw was ur POE experience?

Gtbank PTA is very tight at the moment. They gave a former staff just $2k at N199 few days ago.

sugah:

You are entitled to 4,000USD every quarter. So if you did not get up to 4k from Stanbic, you can make up the difference at your other collection.

Please has anyone gotten PTA from Standard Chartered or GTbank recently? What was their rates?

Stanbic, standard chat and Gtbank claims they would give me PTA but closer to my travel date next month but only Stanbic has been clear on the rates they offer.

The Constitution supercedes the MCA or MA. It is trite law that where there is inconsistency between the Constitution and any other enacted law, the Costitution supercedes.

chloe7:
read the MCA and MA very well or any material you have on legitimacy and stop saying it has been abolished , even though sec 42 has come to play, legitimacy and legitimation still stands , if you are actually in practice then you will know there is still a term called legitimacy and legitimation, where there is conflict of laws one must prevail, LadyGuinivere na my Oga she will shed more light

Section42(2) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 constitution under the heading rights of inheritance, this states that – No citizen of Nigeria shall be subject to any disability or deprivation merely by reason of the circumstances of his or birth.

The above section of the law has abolished illegitimacy in Nigeria. No child can be deemed to be illegitimate. And in cases whereby the father refuses to acknowledge the child for the purposes of inheritance, DNA testing can come to the rescue...

chloe7:
these terms you quoted are right but in Nigeria the marriage that is recognised is what I already stated before, you know different jurisdictions different laws, before a marriage can go into court for divorce it has to have been contracted, infact under legitimacy and legitimation any child born out of the three types of marriage I earlier mentioned is illegitimate and such a child can only be legitimated by the parents getting married legally and not customarily or acceptance by the biological father.
Marriage in Nigeria has to be contracted na by force, you can't be living in the same house and assume to be married or enjoy legal rights, protection and obligations

chei!!! shocked shocked shocked

There could have been a number of reasons... Impossible to say without knowing a specific case. That being said, it isn't illegal to get a cash discount, but it does raise suspicions when you have applied with the intent of going to one location and then suddenly change it at the last minute. CBP will sometimes turn people around and give them 5 year bans just for showing up in the wrong city...[/quote]

Omobendel24 that picture attachment is obviously an old policy of emirates, they reviewed their baggage policy after 2014, I want to assume they don't have different baggage allowances to different countries, but this information is clearly written on his ticket let him just check it, that's all tongue

I used Emirates to JFK in October and it was 23kg*2bags. My son was charged full ticket too and his baggage allowance was same.

Pls which of these 3 airlines ( emirates, british airway and delta airlines ) will u consider best to fly with, in terms of the air craft maintenance, entertainment and good history.

I have flown both Emirates and Delta and I think Delta is a learner when it comes to entertainment and taking care of passengers! As per aircraft, Emirate planes are definitely newer! I know nothing about BA.

OmoBendel24:

Shebi that route dey sell for less than 300k (KLM) as at today so na? Well, Book a New York return ticket (Delta) for less than 200k currently. The flights are going to ATL first before JFK. USE YOUR NUMBER 6 FROM THERE. Worse case scenario, buy a JFK-ATL return (local flight) for less than 200USD just in case issues are inherent in disembarking at ATL (I doubt though) on the international flight. It all comes to 250k tops via this style

You are right. I got my LOS-ATL-JFk for 193,000 3days ago. Its now 205,000 on wakanow. But if u book it and vamoose at ATL, how will you handle the return leg? lol....

Pls has anyone travelled with Qatar airways here before? What's the experience like especially for a family of four. I like to know cos it appears they have the cheapest offer. I know in many cases cheap things come with their shortcomings. Your views especially from experienced persons will be appreciated.

ETIHAD is the cheapest right now. Flew with them last year and it wasn't a bad experience. The journey long sha especially the return leg!

Thanks. I am yet to fill their forms but I was told that I will have to fill their forms separately.
Pls house, do I need to link their form to mine as dependents.
Desperately waiting for a response.
Is it compulsory I go with their dads data page?
Thanks guys

For my son, I created a new profile for him because I had a visa already and I felt it was easier that way. At the interview, I wanted to show the VO my husband's passport data page. The VO asked if my husband had a visa. I said no and the VO said there was no need to show his passport. So, I can safely say that It would be nice to bring along your husband's data page to the kids' interview if your husband has a valid US visa.

Pls my people, any tip on reasonable hotel in new york?

Try booking.com. I use them every time. On cheap hotels, Unfortunately this season isn't the season for cheap hotels in NYC. The season for cheap hotels is January to March as that is the 'dead of winter'.

you may want to read part 1 of this thread to see how visa interview transcripts are posted. One of the reasons for detailed transcripts is to enable aspiring applicants gain one or two cues.

I have read Part 1. My interview was rather short. The VO didn't ask any of the usual questions. he was only interested in the following
1. If I already had a visa
2. Where I was going to stay
3. Who is paying for the trip
4. What my hubby does.

Dasall!

Hey ma'am. Congrats, but this is not a transcript.

A transcript should be detailed, we're not interested in your name and work place. At least occupation, designation, monthly wages, duties and responsibilities should be included. No one will code you by so doing.

What I wrote earlier was all I was asked. He didn't ask me any of the questions you stated. Nothing about monthly wage etc. The VO simply wanted to know where hubby works and was satisfied once I mentioned the name of the company.
