It looks like a very beautiful city, but could you please talk about their attitude to foreigners?
Are they nice/hostile when they see black people? |

Profgordons: Are you sure the study route is harder than French or you mean it’s more expensive? It's quite expensive and I also think it's not as straight forward as French Please correct me if I am wrong but most people who studied in Canada are eligible for PR under CEC and PNP. Some students who studied the right courses in the right provinces can easily get PNP but those who are unable to get PNP, will have to apply for PR under CEC draws. The challenge here is that some of them don't have high scores for CEC. The CRS for this category is around 521 or so and some can't meet up with it and have to go back home to get foreign experience or learn French to qualify for French based draws. This why I said it's harder than french. |

pepe1: A beginner just about to start French classes.
Please, I'd like to know the chances of success through this French pathway for those of us in our mid forties.
Appreciate an honest response. Thanks Bonjour 🙂 Learning has nothing to do with your age. It just boils down to your level of motivation. I would advise that you check your eligiblity and calculate your CRS to include your future french scores to see if it will be worth it. If your CRS is less than 399 with the french scores, I think you should explore other options as French would get more competitive in the future. |

smartkester: We are entering 2026, please I'm genuinely asking, Is Canada Express entry still feasible for us looking to migrate without having to write French?. The CRS scores keep increasing everyday. The older one gets the lower the chances. Please who can honestly give some words to this. It's actually tiring at this point. So much money has gone down doing WES and IELTS and yet nothing.
Please don't mention French o Bonne année 2026 🙂 You can try switching careers to one of the occupations eligible for the category based draws or explore PNP. Entry to Canada is becoming more difficult with each passing day so I would advise you to act fast. If the above options don't work for you, you can explore the study route but that is much harder than learning French. Je vous souhaite le meilleur. |

Favouralltheway: Hey guys, I currently got ITA for health category draw. I used my banking experience back home for foreign experience and my current work experience in Canada in NOC 42201 which got me the ITA . Now I’m confused, am I supposed to also provide reference from my foreign work experience in Nigeria or can I just use only my work experience in Canada while putting in my application? Please advise the best way to go about this as I’m a bit scared that my work experience in Nigeria the job description might not fit the NOC code I selected Your question is not really clear. Did you use 42201 as the NOC for your banking experience in Nigeria? Also, how many years of work experience do you have in Canada? If you remove your Nigerian experience from your profile, would your CRS fall below the minimum score for your round? Answering these questions will help people guide you. |

Hazereal: Hello everyone,
Please, I need advice.
I submitted my passport through VFS Lagos on November 10, and it was received by IRCC on November 11. So far, my application has not been updated and I have not received any message about passport return. My program is scheduled to begin on January 6, and I’m getting concerned.i have submitted many webform speaking of the delay but the tracker shows they’ve received them . But still nothing
For those who have experienced something similar: • How long does it usually take for IRCC to update passport details? • Is this delay normal? • Is there anything else I should be doing at this point, or should I just keep waiting?
Note : i called vfs but the said it’s with iccc
2. Called ircc they said there is no update yet on my passport but they agreed to receiving it But ircc Ottawa said they can’t give me Much info on my application since it’s made outside Canada
Any advice or shared experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. IRCC Ghana office takes an average of 6-8 weeks to process passports for visa. Some have had their passports returned under 2 weeks while others, 2 months. There is nothing else you can do but to be patient. |

NwunyeAlberta: Hi All,
Happy to share that after nearly 1.5 years of studies, I cleared my 1st (and last) TCF at Alliance Francaise Lagos and received ITA yesterday in the French draw.
French took my CRS to 508 which was way more than the CRS needed for the draw, 446. I am truly grateful to God.
I'll be back to share tips and advice but first, a big shout out to all the OGs who made this thread such a valuable resource. Each time I was discouraged, I would come here and read stories of people who had made it.
N.B. If TEF is showing you shege, TCF might be a source of respite. Don't sleep on it. Congratulations! 😀 |

Spits! 😪 Just because your candidate did not win doesn't mean that the results are fake. APC has a stronghold in Ogun State. I am sure the LP votes came from areas where they had universities and a lot of young people. Think of rural areas in Ogun and Ekiti State. How many of them know Peter Obi? Most of them are not enlightened |
