RealityShot: Stock market will boom with this ban.
but i wont join them (mago mago full there both on companies side and NSE itself)
its money market fund or bond time.
if none of the above works.. Dump it in savings account till Emefiele retires.
WHAT IS so WRONG with individuals choosing to loan govt their savings so govt can use it for the development that is making it go abroad and beg for loans ?
that CBN gov has lost a nut! he NEVER expected to return there.. perhaps, this is Buhari's worst mistake in this next level. Money market rates has dropped significantly |

QuickStandard: Hmmmmm!!!
What a title!
"Your broke husband"
He should just let you go, so you can marry "Your rich husband"
From your title it's obvious you have no regards for him cos he's broke
That been said, I hate lazy people, that can't think out of the box.
He should hustle at least to put food on the table, pending when he gets the big break.
You can encourage him.
But calling your husband broke and insensitive is degrading.
My 2cents It was the moderator that changed the topic to that. That was not the title she used initially |

Jejebabaa: https://punchng.com/cbn-stops-treasury-bills-sale-to-individuals/ Guys serious trouble is looming as from Nov 29. If you have opportunity to lock your fund now for longer terms above 10% please do so asap. Treasury bills might go lower to single digits rate if care is not taken with all these CBN monetary policies. I never expected Emefiele to go this "low". Stopping sale of treasury bill is an all time low. Yeye country |

prekumohtim: Don't waste your time on it. It's nothing to write home about. I once invested but the interest is very low and it could still wipe out at any time. For about 6 months I was only able to realise about a #1,000. Look for something better to invest your money I am guessing u had less than 100k in the MMF at that time. MMF interest makes more sense when u have at least 100k there. For instance the interest for 3 months on 100k should be about 2700 naira with a daily rate of 12% |

ositadima1: The insurance company is not father chrismas, they are there to make profit. Do you know what they do ?
They estimate the chances and rate of an accident occurring, they calculate expected loss PA for each customer category and bill you higher.
For example if ur expected loss per month is 5k they will bill you 6k. Effectively they are recovering what ever they paid you plus profit over time. In short, you pay more over a longer period.
If you can absorb shock it is always better not to insure.
By d way, if you keep having accidents they will revise ur premium upwards why is that? But what if ur expected loss is 5k and u lose 10k? |

freeman67: The words of our elders are truly the words of wisdom. A little research on Nairaland will reveal that the caveat inserted in post up and down is just a smoke screen..
Ordinarily in a discussion on a forum like this if someone is countered the evidence should be there for those reading after the discussion to learn from but I just discovered that he has other motives.
His own is just to woo investors with very high interest rate to part with their money irrespective of whether it is feasible or not. So where his argument is not convincing enough he will delete them inorder not to deter the intending investors. You are the 4th person to call him out on this. I initially thought that he had some haters but when more than 3 people are saying the same thing (on different threads), then there is a truth to it. |
