Hello house, anyone with a similar experience and what do you advise ?

I applied for a visiting visa last year May and got a request on June 30th to submit my passport within 30 days.

I planned to go tomorrow Friday July 14 only to find out that you must have an appointment to submit your passport. Problem is the earliest date right now is august 9 and by then my 30 days grace period would have expired. What do you advise please ?

Will I be attended to if I show up for submission without an appointment?

Use courier to send it, u don’t need appointment for that.

I met a couple, the husband is a PR, she was told to wait for ircc to complete her online application, Dey can’t issue her work permit. The husband said he knew someone that was given at that same bridge last week. So I’m not really sure, probably it depends on the officer in charge.

According to the cbsa officer it doesn’t count, I will have to do an updated one for immigration purpose. Most likely in Canada, I don’t really understand him bcox someone I watch her video used iom medicals.

I don’t need LMIA job. I’ve an open work permit, I can work anywhere aside the places restricted due to my medical.

Even thou I’ve made my research on flagpole before we even applied for my wife’s study visa, it still didn’t prepared me for the stressed we went through (she followed me for the whole process, I felt for her )

I flagpole on the rainbow bridge (3hrs from my place) in Niagara Falls, I was aware you’ve to get there very early bcox Dey answer only 10 ppl daily n it’s not a 24/7 border, flagploing starts 8am.

We got to Niagara on Monday evening, stayed Airbnb n left for the bridge Tuesday morning around 5am. I got to the bridge n was number 18, i heard someone said he came 1am, aaaaah. I felt they’ll answer everyone bcox to me the queue wasn’t that much. I walked to the USA side to flagpole n came back to Canada side to complete the process by 8am. When it was time Naso cbsa officer handled a yellow paper to 10 ppl and told the others to check other borders or check back tomorrow, it was then my eyes cleared.

My wife suggested we should sleep der, that’s d only way we can be guaranteed of an early spot the next day. 10pm we went back to the bridge with two other Nigerians we met. We slept at the bridge from 10pm-8am, d cold was insane, again you can’t leave the bridge, once you enter you’ve to go back to flagpole at usa border. It was a pleasant experience at all, I felt like a refugee 😭😭😭

Finally 8am came n I was the first in line, the whole process took less than 10mins. The officer asked for my wife’s study permit, our marriage certificate and asked my job in naija, he even read the purpose of travel I wrote in my application. My work permit was issue for the duration my wife’s study permit is valid.

I did medical in Nigeria, the officer said that doesn’t count, I will need updated one. So my permit has restrictions, can’t work in strip club, Agriculture occupation n child care/health service field.

If you’re flagpoling in border that opens 24/7, it will be more convenient. You can go anytime n will be attended to. My eyes is still heavy after 3hrs+ sleep

Lol, your passport as bn stamped. “Closed” on portal means decision has bn made on the application. You’ve ntn to worry about. At this point focus on ur ircc portal not tracker anymore.

Rn all the airline choke o, I was traveling to assist someone this week, economy is around 1.5m,2m, 3m. Check klm/Air France, compare with other airline. Remember you can’t book flight having stop over in two shengen countries or USA unless they’ve visa for d countries.

I’m still job hunting, did four interviews last week n I’ve two this week, Rn I can’t give advice on job especially LMIA. It won’t be possible to convert to open work permit. I can only convert to close work permit with LMIA job offer.

They won’t need to pay since it’s Abuja they had der biometrics. If they’re picking up no extra charges, if they want home delivery Dey will pay 30k+ to vfs courier.

I need clear guidance on passport submission for visit visa for my Parents in Law. There is a link on the PPR letter that explains a new way to submit passport by either scheduling on phone, online or email but all efforts to reach them through all of these means have proved abortive! Biometrics was done in Abuja in 2018 when they got their first visa. But I am seeing some posts about submitting using Fedex. Please we need a clear submission process

Put all the documents below in an envelope and send to:

Abuja vfs address
Visa Application Centre
Sterling Bank Plaza, 3rd Floor Plot No 1083, Mohammadu Buhari Way,Central Business District Abuja Nigeria

Documents:
-2 duly signed consent forms.
-2 copies of passport data page
-Passport Request Letter
-Yellow / white biometric slip

Also note that you’ll have to pay vfs to deliver your passport to your desired location if you can’t pickup yourself in Abuja.

Ups has picked up to deliver to your address. If you don’t have the tracking number, chat them on the website for it. With that you can track it on ups website.

How much is vfs courier fee to abuja? because i paid 30k+ for mine on Monday but i heard its been changed again.

Ppr is the koko, leave tracker update for them. Transmission fee is N9,410 buh I think it’s higher for kids. I’m not sure if the new price for courier service.

Fee N9,410. I don’t think d yellow slip will be an issue. Yes, you can pickup in person once it’s ready for collection.
